Addenro House B&B - Southampton

Reception not staffed. I couldn't get in by 14:40 and aft midnight - phone and door bell disconnected. Exterior unkempt and unwelcoming. Whoever answered my telephone when inquiring about checkin couldn't care less. No one should be subjected to this for a booked and paid accommodation

Master is friendly. Breakfast is quite good.

My face dropped when I saw the entrance way - then the sign said something like "workmen please remove boots before entering" - so I thought there was work going on.... No, the place is just a hovel - it hasn't any stars - it isn't a hotel (they say that's a mistake, it's a B&B, and can't account for the 3-star rating). But it's even awful and lowlife […] for a B&B - no lounge, no bar, scruffiest entrance you ever saw, and it carries on the same. I wasn't expecting much, as it is cheap, but this was unbelieveable - my single room had a big window with heavy curtains but no nets or blind so gave a full view to anyone looking out of upstairs windows of the next house. There was a little old portable TV, big aerial hanging vertically from end of curtain rail, no remote. There was a DVD player (wow!) - but no remote, so unusable. I asked for a new bottom sheet as there was the strangest large body-looking print in the middle of the bed (?). The reception guy assured me no-one could have been using the bed, and did politely supply a new sheet, but I'm dubious. It's total misrepresentation, and I'll be onto hotels.com about it. NO REFUNDS, no surprise, I left anyway in the morning. Devamı
