Overall we were pleased about the place but couple of issues was not up to our satisfaction. The postcode which sent it to us on our booking took us nearby village! Not exactly to place. The room we requested at booking was double bed but when we arrived to room there was one double and one single bed! And there was no much space left at the room! The room was smelling humidity heavily and the central heating was not working. Luckily we got small radiator from very helpful In-charge lady. Another surprising thing was on sunday morning we woke up with fire alarm which was strongly sounding at whole mansion around 8.30am! So we ran out the building with all other guests and stayed for 10mins. It wasn`t really pleasant to wake up on sunday morning. By the way, the mansion is perfect location for quiet, peaceful weekend. Outdoor jacuzzi at garden and walking distance forest make more attractive also. The food served at breakfast was quiet tasty and many options. We recommend to everyone.

"It was a great stay!"

Do not think it is far a way from the city central, it's just a 10 min bus ride and the last stop is just 100 meters from the hotel. Plus, there is a 24-hour-open supermarket that you can find everything you wish just very near the hotel. Everything was wonderful there, and I will definitely stay there again if I visit Edinburgh for the second time.

Nice welcome on a very cold evening, real fire burning brightly. Small but very clean room with a big four poster bed.. a little draughty..but it was a very wild night. Very convenient for the airport and a lovely cooked breakfast, served with a warm friendly smile by a very nice lady.......will definitely stay there again and would not hesitate to […] recommend. Staff were friendly and courteous, the food was wonderful and the pub was cosy. We really enjoyed quiz night. Although the rooms were a little small, they were supremely comfortable with terrific beds. A bit off of the beaten path, but worth the trip.

Newly refurbished to a high standard with free wi-fi. Small number of rooms in a pub with great restaurant. Made a pleasant change from the usual chains and food was great

It was a shame i only stayed one night! It is an old Inn with stunning rooms (the one i stayed in anyway). Very clean an crisp, lovely brathroom, comfy bed, airy with stunning views along the canal. The only thing i missed was trying their food, which is suppose to be beautful.

This place is a hidden gem. I hope it remains that way in the future. It is in a beautiful rural villege location only 1.9 miles from the Edinburgh Airport. Located where a rustic one lane bridge crosses an old but working English canal. The room was charming and comfortable and the bathrooms very modern. "Hôtel en bord de route, très bruyant!!"

Hôtel-Pub (assez étrange) 4 chambres seulement, mais en bord de route pavé, après un pont qui ne laisse passer qu'un véhicule à la fois, et donc un feu: bruit constant de véhicules qui démarrent sous les fenêtres très mal isolées! Salle de bain très jolie mais pas fonctionnelle. Très belle balade le long du canal...
