Woolpack Country Inn - Dewsbury

Nice place with huge room and very good simple food. Staff all very pleasant and it worked well for this trip. Nice change t stay away from hotel chains. I would go back. Note wifi only in the pub not in the room.

Room cold and badly effected by traffic noise. Probably ok for a brief over night stay, but made for a pretty miserable leisure break. We decided to cut our loses and move to another hotel which thankfully was warmer and quieter. On a more positive note. The hotel has a good size car park and serves decent food at a reasonable price.

Convenient for Wakefield where we were headed the following day. Service was friendly and good, but the bar (nearly empty on a snowy Sunday evening) was rather cold. We didn't eat dinner as we had already done so but breakfast was fine.

We enjoyed our stay, but it was probably the coldest night of the year and my wife was frozen the whole time. Luckily she took her hot water bottle with her!!! The heating in the room seemed to be turned on on our arrival and went off about 10pm and came on in the morning again and off about 8am. The carpet in our bedroom did not look very clean. Although […] our room was on the road we weren't disturbed by traffic noise. The hotel was quaint with no ajoining corridor to our room which necessitated us going outside when the walkway was very slippy. All in all, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, and the food was good. We enjoyed our stay and would go back now that we know what to expect!! Devamı

Great value room - decorated nicely - the only thing that let it down was the bathroom - alothough it was large, it was very stark and basic, almost hospital-like! Plus the bathroom window was quite easy to see through so proper blinds would have been good. Other than that the place was nice, lovely setting and the food in the pub pretty good. Good value for money, though we don't use hotels very much. Needs maintenance: smells from whb drain, loo seat broken, water ran slowly out of bath. Not very easy to access room with baggage from the car.

All staff where friendly and helpful. They really made it special. Food was lovely and home cooked to your requirements. Great for kids as it is next door to a play park.

Superb hotel, friendly staff and great food. As i was traveling alone on buisness the only down side for me was the free wireless internet was only available in the bar and not in the rooms.

There is everything I could say good, and absolutely nothing bad about this hotel. The food was outstanding, accomodation clean (nearly new), staff friendly and the pub atmosphere brilliant. We stayed for a Saturday evening and overnight for a relaxing evening out. The food was really nice and good value, there was Live irish music which was nice […] and we had a really good night out. This is a lovely Inn, with a warm welcome, great food and is quite convenient for a trip to Huddersfield, although I am not sure how easy the roads would b in winter. The rooms are beautifully done and very comfortable. This hotel is very convenient for cities such as Wakefield, Huddersfield and Barnsley. The owners were very welcoming and you may be lucky enough - as we were - to find a group playing in the evening. We had a very nice evening meal and breakfast.

A wonderful place to stay cannot recommended enough ,from the idilic location to the exellent food with great rooms and unbelievable courtious,freindly and accomodating owners and staff. If you want a relaxing place to stay this is it,the rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard and what we loved is that they are seperate from the inn so […] your not disturbed.the surrounding areas are idillic..but what makes the woolpack inn so enjoyable is the owners and staff they can't do enough for you always have a smile and are so friendly, top this off with the real ale and the exelllent menu and quality of food all the ingridents together make for a quality ,memorable and enjoyable stay.Would recommend the woolpack to anyone and cannot sing its praises enough will deffinatly be staying here again..thanks for a great stay. Couldn't find much about this place on the web, but were very satisfied with the stay. New owners were very friendly, rooms were large and have only just been refurbished (everything seemed new - even the towels). Hotellet ligger 10 minuters bilväg från Dewsbury centrum. Det finns fantastiska allmänna stigar nära hotellet. Det finns också en golfbana i närheten. Maten, särskilt frukosten, är bra och personalen var mycket trevliga. Buss går en gång i timmen mellan Wakefield och Dewsbury.
