The Jolly Drover - Inn - Liss

If you want a reasonably priced overnight in the country then the Jolly Drover is a good choice. It is a pub not a hotel set in the country but not far from Petersfield. It has rooms in a converted barn that really are quite lovely. They are very spacious, clean and comfortable, with water,tea and coffee provided. I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived at The Jolly Drover but the Good Beer Guide sticker in the door and the roaring fire in the bar made me instantly feel at home. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I'd be happy to stay there again.

Went to Liphook to try and trace family history, hence the stay at the Jolly Drover. Very nice rooms in the old barn conversion. Had dinner in the restaurant, which was great with heaps of atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming. Would recommend.

Normally I do not write reviews, However, this hotel is a credit......made by its staff who make you very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. P.s and the mixed grill is fantastic perfect in cooking quality.

Excellent all round and they even discounted my evening meal because i was to be away too early for breakfast. Rooms in a separate block adjacent to the main building so no noise from the pub and because the accommodation is reasonably new the insulation was good and could hear no noise from the busy main road at the front of the main building.
