Saratoga Downtowner - Saratoga Springs

it was passable for the one night... more than that would have been very depressing.

I was there for a conference. The location was perfect and the price was right. I would definitely stay there again.

Although not the fanciest of places, I love the quirky interior and it was clean as a whistle. The help was friendly and helpful. The MOST convenient location in town. Upgraded bedding would go far for this place, but even so, it was all good! I would absolutely stay here again!

The staff were all very nice. Hotel is a little outdated, but clean.....the breakfast could use a bit more of a selection and improved quality. The tv in my room could also have been a newer model. I'm unsure if the hotel has newer flat screens. (Not that it was an issue) Location was great, price was great. I would definately stay there again.

Loud neighbors next door. Thin walls. You will have this probably because of the location. Lot of bars and other night spots. But I liked the location because your within walking distance to everything. Clean room. Just wished I could sleep. The beds were hard as plywood.

Amazing location, couldn't be more downtown. The problem with this hotel is that the water pipe are very very noisy (a lot of noise from the inside the wall at night). Saratoga spring is a very nice city, but if i go back, i'll choose another hotel.

Room was verey comfortable,will come back agin. Hotel was close to every thing we did,andtown is very lovley.

Great location. Room wasn't dirty, just looked worn out and dated. There was marks on the wall. The indoor pool was empty and being painted. Someone knocked on my door at 2AM from the street. Not worth 100 dollars on a Thursday in March.

I was pleasantly surprised with Saratoga Springs. What a fun town! I was here for a business conference and this hotel was in the perfect spot for walking to numerous restaurants, night life, shopping, and a short walk to the conference center. Location is superb for Skidmore families or anyone wanting to stay downtown. No fighting traffic to get to your hotel. Dated but clean, very well-maintained. Beds were on the hard side, but slept OK. Blankets were old and scratchy. New bedding and towels would be a nice upgrade. Price was amazing for Saratoga Springs!

Not bad hotel kinda away from town, room and everything was ok but front desk service sucks!!, not to mention they dont know how to use a cc machine and ended up overdrawing my account witg 5 different preauths for one charge....not going back

The hotel is a perfect location in the middle of downtown which makes for an easy walk to all shops, restaurants, the park, and nightlife. This also makes it a bit noisy on weekend nights (woken up a couple of times but that is not really the hotels fault-more so that of inconsiderate guests and the result of a prime location with thin walls). The staff […] is berry helpful and will try to make your visit a good one. I stayed twice in the last month to attend events in the area (much quiter on a weeknight). On one of these trips I accidentally left personal items behind - they called me to let me know and had bagged everything up for me (nothing missing either) and had it all ready for pick up st the front desk. I travel with pets so I love that it is dog friendly. It's a good bargain and great location with a helpful staff so I would go back. Devamı

Right in the middle of downtown. Good continental breakfast with excellent free coffee. Nice firm mattress, powerful shower head, lots of clean towels. Now the minuses. Small parking lot but free parking in small municipal lot behind motel. We were there on a Friday when Saratoga Center had a big event. Had to park two blocks up. If you are looking for hotel to lay your head close to everything in Saratoga Springs this is the hotel you want. You have to get their early as parking lot is very smal and you will have to park out back down a very dark side street. Hotel is not fancy and dont have much to offer but a bed to sleep in. If your room is Broadway sie it is very loud , […] wont get much sleep. If you need a cheap place to stay while in Saratoga this may be what you are looking for. If you looking for something nicer that offers alot of comforts of home this is not the place you want. Devamı

The room and facilities were very clean and well maintenenced. The people at the front desk were always very kind and helpful, check in took less than five minutes. Great location if you're looking to walk around the restaurant and shops part of Saratoga, and not too far at all from I-87.

Arrived late evening. Room was ICE COLD. Took over an hour for weak electric heat to make it bearable. They forgot to "preheat" room for arriving guest. I understand the need to save energy but this was uncalled for. Otherwise an "ok" place, good location & generally clean "60's" style motel/hotel".

I was in Saratoga Springs for a meeting and chose the Downtowner because it was close to the meeting location, but only half the nightly rate of the meeting hotel's "special discount". Sure, the hotel doesn't have granite countertops or down comforters, but its a great location, the staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful and my room was cleaner […] than every other budget hotel I have ever stayed at and cleaner than some nicer hotels (no hairs in the bathroom!). I took my savings in hotel rate and got myself a nice dinner and a skirt at a local shop. Devamı

The saratoga downtowner is a cute hotel. It is within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and bars. This is a must visit location if you want to relax and not have to drive everywhere. I definately would go back for another stay.

Right in the middle of town, modest prices. Parking availible. Old "60's" style hotel but neat & clean.

Its cheap and convenient. It was really loud, you can hear everything going on in the hallways, balcony, on the streets and at the pool. The shower water was annoying it kept changing from hot to cold on its own. The heat didn't work, I was cold all night. The lock on the door didn't work well. But it was close to the main strip. The room was clean. The front desk was always accomodating to our needs. We would stay again. Grandkids had a great time using the pool.

The only problem that we had the noise outside our room. I had to call the front desk because of the loud behavior well past midnight. I thought the management of the hotel could have done more to alleviate the problem. They were cordial but I still think they could have done more.

Horrible stay. Room was freezing, bathroom sub par, lots of college students up all night. Totally disorganized staff.

This location was PERFECT for the conference I was attending. The price was even better!!

The Downtowner is not a DeLuxe hotel. It is clean, convenient to everything in the center of Saratoga Springs and the staff is friendly and helpful. I could have stayed at another hotel in town for twice the price and the bed may have been a little more comfortable and the walls thicker. At the Downtowner I was awoken at 3:30 in the morning by a neighbor, […] "hard of hearing", who had left the television on (and loud). The woman working the desk very patiently did all she could to wake him up and re-establish peace and quiet. I really appreciate that kind of effort. At the twice expensive hotel with the thicker walls -- maybe I wouldn't have heard the noise. But I did get another night of very good sleep because the room temperature was easy to control and the gentleman next door did not fall asleep with the television blaring. I felt good to get two days for the price of one. Maybe I should have titled this "You get a little more than what you pay for". Devamı

Nice place to stay in downtown. Get there early for a parking spot. We had some loud neighbors but that was not the hotels fault. Would stay there again. Our room was very clean.

An immaculate property. While the bath was updated, they left the art deco colors on the wall tiles and fixtures from the 60s. Continental breakfast was coffee, orange juice and bread stuff to toast. My only disappoint ment was that the rate I booked with went down another $10 the day after.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, otherwise the room is just ok. The staff were very very nice.

Both check-in and check-out were easy and nicely handled. Both clerks were friendly and helpful. would stay there again.

The room was clean but old. One outlet had an adapter with 4 items plugged in it! New wiring needed perhaps?! The hotel staff found it necessary to knock on my door to say someone had complained about the noise. What noise?? I was watching tv! The hotel is a bit old, but I found my room clean and adequate. I was on the backside and the noise level was low. Definitely worth the money. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Can't beat the location.

While this is a very modest hotel I found it to be clean and at least in my case quiet. Located just two blocks from the Saratoga City Center it was an easy walk to Conference. The shower was clean and freshly caulked; the only negative that bothered me was the plastic shower curtain. Bring your own hair dryer and conditioner.
