My fiance and myself stayed for long weekend. Overall we were pleased about the place but couple of issues was not up to our satisfaction. The postcode which sent it to us on our booking took us nearby village! Not exactly to place. The room we requested at booking was double bed but when we arrived to room there was one double and one single bed! And there was no much space left at the room! The room was smelling humidity heavily and the central heating was not working. Luckily we got small radiator from very helpful In-charge lady. Another surprising thing was on sunday morning we woke up with fire alarm which was strongly sounding at whole mansion around 8.30am! So we ran out the building with all other guests and stayed for 10mins. It wasn`t really pleasant to wake up on sunday morning. By the way, the mansion is perfect location for quiet, peaceful weekend. Outdoor jacuzzi at garden and walking distance forest make more attractive also. The food served at breakfast was quiet tasty and many options. We recommend to everyone.

it was certainly comfortable, neat, large rooms.and maybe more quiet if you stay outside the main building which is almost the next house. the staff was increadibly helpfull, try to answer all your questions. only a few bus stop away from the center of the city. (takes 1.20 £) , otherwise with taxi 6 or 7 £ far away. great breakfast, you get exactly what you expect from an english breakfast..

We were as a group of 13 people and really enjoyed staying here. Do not think it is far a way from the city central, it's just a 10 min bus ride and the last stop is just 100 meters from the hotel. Plus, there is a 24-hour-open supermarket that you can find everything you wish just very near the hotel. Everything was wonderful there, and I will definitely stay there again if I visit Edinburgh for the second time.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times & would highly recommend it for comfort, friendliness & convenience. Princes St is just a few minutes walk. And you don't have to travel far for somewhere nice to eat.

"2-star wanting to be a 3-star"
This hotel is 2.5 stars at most. They don't maintain the hotel well enough to make it a 3 star (our curtain rods seemed like they may pull out of the wall. The room was large but the tv screen was small. They did not provide wash cloth. Front desk staff are nice. Este hotel es una excelente opcion en eEdimburgo, a dos cuadras de la estacion de Haymarket, habitaciones muy amplias, y servicio excelente. Lo unico es que mo hay wifii gratis aunque sea en la recepcion.
