we would stay any time when we are coming and go out to spain

We stayed here for one night, the hotel is dated so if your expected plush surroundings don't book here but the staff were incredible helpful and friendly, the room was spotless and a fair size and you cant fault the location it was spot on for accessing most places on foot plus there was parking in their own car park for only £3 a night. Decor resembles something out of Fawlty Towers, the room is basic, but is to be expected for the price paid. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

My partner and I stayed at The Star hotel in Southampton for one night. The hotel staff were lovely, very friendly & welcoming and went out of their way to offer directions regarding the local area. Our room was superb, it was large and spacious with two double beds available. Unfortunately we were late back during the evening and the hotel was locked […] up for the night. The duty manager was more than happy to open up to let us back in and didn't make us feel as if we were a nuisance in the slightest. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel if you're looking for a comfortable night's accomodation. Devamı

This is a 2 Star Hotel, not 3 as indicated in the description. We don't stay in 2 Star Hotels so we were dissapointed by the facilities and accomodation. The staff were very helpful and polite, I suppose it's a good place to stay if you don't mind low grade accomodation.

First of all I would like to point out the positive things with The Star Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to the big shopping centre and also close to restaurants and pubs. I went to Southampton with two of m y friends for a stag do. We were going to stay from Friday (29/4) to Monday (2/5). We arrived by plane […] from Jersey in the morning and arrived at the Hotel about 11 am. We were told that we couldn't check in until 2pm, which was ok for us. We stowed our luggage in the pub where the staff were watching the Royal wedding. Then we went out for lunch to bide our time away until 2pm. Once we had checked in we had a choice between taking the lift (elevator) up the 2 flights to our room or take the stairs. Our minds were made up when we saw a couple having problems getting in to the small lift. We took the stairs. This building is very old so the stairs must be equally old without any kind of maintenance. I can tell you it was an adventure each time we ascended or descended the stairs. The stairs from the first floor to the second floor were slightly better, but not by much. To get to our room we had to pass through a door that led us to a very small hallway. As soon as we opened the door we were met by the stink of Vomit (this stink lingered throughout our stay, even though we noticed that the staff were doing their best to get rid of the stink). We had to clasp our hands over our mouths and run for our room door in order to get through the stinky hallway. Once in our room we were met, not by three single beds which we had been under impression that we were going to get, as we had booked for three adults not two adults and a child, two double beds. We were not happy at the idea of having to share beds, but quickly got over it and decided to make a rota where we would all have one night in one of the beds alone. Which worked out fine. The bedside table was from IKEA, but whoever had put it together didn't really know how to. Devamı

Anbefales på det sterkeste. Ligger sentralt i High Street. Meget hyggelig personale og rene rom med fine bad. Til denne prisen var dette i overkant av hva vi turte å forvente. Spesielt gjalt dette frokosten. Vi så for oss en kjip continental breakfast men fikk buffet med pølser, egg, bacon, hash browns etc.
