Hampton by Hilton Newport East - Bristol

We found the hotel modern, refreshing, clean & everything we wished for. Not being familiar with the area at all, the staff were very helpful when giving advice on what to see & how to get there. The hotel didn't seem to have anything around the corner from it but as we had a car, a short drive for things wasn't an issue. Would definitely stay here […] again. Devamı

Spend 4 nights here. Got a bargain which included breakfast. Good hotel but not in the most picturesque location. Bit of a boring place both location wise and also hotel wise. Bar might be open 24 hrs but it's dead. Some of the staff (mainly breakfast staff) constantly looked like they were attending a funeral. Rooms were ok but very small especially […] for a family of 4. Barely enough space to walk and no space at all to leave belongings. Rooms could do with a few shelves and even hooks to hang things on. Very clean hotel. No wifi in rooms only 1 fixed network cable. You have to go down to the bar/lobby for wifi. Breakfast is ok but not great. Selfservice buffet which was good but bread was only half defrosted every morning and toaster kept getting the bread stuck at the bottom in the back. Very dry tasteless croissants. Not great fruit selection. Fried breakfast can also do with some improvement. Not enough tables for breakfast on certain mornings. Would stay again if I was visiting this part of the country again because of price but not with 4 people in 1 room. Rooms far too hot. Only bearable with airco or fan on which you couldn't leave on all night so waking up sweating in a room of above 25 degrees C every morning. No windows or vent you can open either. Devamı

Sofa bed is clean and new. It would be better if the hotel chooses one without the iron bar next to it, which hurts if one hits it accidentally with one's knee, foot or sitting on it. One has to be very careful if you need the sofa bed. Other than that, the room is value for money.

Great for one night stay, clean and modern hotel, good breakfast - no issues.

This is a nice clean and value for money hotel. The rooms are a reasonable size and the bed is comfortable. The gym is good for a short work out. The morning breakfast is good as well. Overall a good hotel experience if you want better then you can always pay more and stay at the Hilton or Celtic manor a few miles away. Otherwise this fits the bill […] perfectly. Devamı

Very Nice hotel. We had stayed here before and we will in the future.

The hotel is very new and modern and clean. Very convenient and surprisingly quiet considering it's proximity to the motorway. Excellent shower, roomy and lots of power. However the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I did mention this to the staff and they said it was becasue the mattresses were so new. I wonderful experience! Me, my partner and two children loved our stay and found the rooms very comfortable and very clean. Staff were friendly and all very reasonably priced! Would definately come back!

Great welcome at reception. Good value for money and conveniently located just off the M4. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and warm on very cold evening. One of the few hotels that provides free wifi... well done. Breakfast was a little basic but ok to get on with.

As a traveller and hectic business person I always need a place to crash but also to work into the night. The management at this hotel were extremely helpful. Breakfast was better than most. One thing I would say the postcode doesnt work to well. The hotel is right on the roundabout so when you turn off the M4 take the very first left and follow the […] signs. Devamı

Outstanding service and facilities. Everything was spotless. Large, comfortable rooms. Have recommended to friends already. Will definately visit again.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights with my husband and our 17th years old daughter. Everything about the hotel was excellent. Friendly service, cleanliness, breakfast etc. Our daughter had her birthday party at the hotel and we all loved it. Free gym, internet with high speed in the rooms, the cleanest hotel in UK. Hotel is modern, clean and very functional. Perfect for an overnight stay. The room had queen size bed and a sofa bed. Inclusion of hot buffet breakfast made it great value.

Having stayed at all of the other chains of this type Hampton by Hilton I would say is much better. Being a new hotel it is still in very good condition and fittings within the room were of a high standard, free internet connection was available via a wire in the room but as we did not take our laptop I am not able to comment on its speed etc. Breakfast […] was also very good with a help yourself choice of continental and cooked food and plenty of it with a wide window for serving. Altogether the best stay we have had in this type of hotel and we will without doubt be using the Hampton by Hilton at Magor again during our next visit to the area at Easter Devamı

Very new and it showed, everything v.clean and comfortable. Excellent value. Only difficult thing was finding it as the satnav didn't recognise the post code!!

Value for money is excellent. The hotel is near the bridge exit and parking is easy and free. The hotel is spotless and the hotel staff friendly & very helpful. There is a bar & "pub style menu" from 6pm-10pm, everything under £10 and wine around £15 bottle. The bedroom has a large walk in shower, air conditioning, tea and coffee, flat screen tv, desk […] and wired internet, rather slow connection but good for email. Breakfast consisted of fresh orange and grapefruit, cereals, toast or bread/muffins/croissants and hot bacon, sausage and scrambled egg. coffee, tea or hot chocolate. all in all , excellent value for money. just be aware that you will not receive Hilton honours points/airmiles if you book through hotels.com. Did not expect much from this hotel . Stopped using Holiday Inn Express as found despite their claim that all of them operate the same it is just not true. Most of them charge for wi fi in the lobby and some do not. Also found that road workers use it and at breakfast the air is blue with expletives even when there are children present.Reception staff […] were amazing and helpful. Any staff you met around the hotel would interact with you as if they meant it. Free wifi throughout the hotel. You connect your PC in room but I found I was able to pick it up on my ipad and touch. Breakfast was great Self service hot and cold provisions. Only dropped a star as I found dust on ledges in room which I forgot to tell reception about. I kept sneezing. Bathrooms immaculate. Bedside radio with great tone. Hairdryer. Ironing board and iron in room. Can not wait to try out rest they are well above Express standards.Bar meals fine as was wine. Over all i have rated this hotel 5 star the staff are extremely help full the cleanliness was spot on. The food was excellent and although there was 4 of us in the room it was a bit tight but manageable. The hotel had all the little extras that you would expect in a five star hotel from the iron to hairdrier , the coffee to internet access in the room. […] To plenty of towels and toiletries. the only two small points i didn't like was that the tv was just free view not sky and that they need to use a better quality sausage as although edible it wasn't very nice but as the all u could eat buffet breakfast i didn't feel like i could say anything apart from that it was extremely good value for money and next time we come down to visit family we will use the hotel again Devamı

Very good value hotel, well placed for the motorway and near the local sites. Wonderful Roman ruins, castles and a great restaurant in Undy.

The only complaint would be that I, personally, found the bed too hard but anyone else may be ok with this but apart from that you could not fault the hotel although I would have liked a bit of background music in the restaurant downstairs. This Hotel was great value for money, offering very good rooms which are clean and tidy. The area around the Hoel is being developed but dont be put off by this. The only thing that could do with improvement was the quality of the cooked breakfast.

The rooms are a good size, nice interior design. Coffee & tea in the room. Good lobby, friendly staff. All perfect there. Nice business hotel. Big issue was the airconditioning of the room. I had to turn it on full blast because the room was too hot to sleep in. Woke up with a soar throat as a result. Breakfast was not tasty and not four star quality. Just of motorway, not much in immediate locale but friendly staff (organised taxi etc for us) and spot on for somewhere to stay.lOotale not really a holiday 'destination'.

The hotel is fine if you require a nice room and no frills. Microwave was heard doing overtime in the kitchen but nothing really negative to say about the hotel.

I stayed in this hotel in sept 2011 for two nights. The room is very modern, fresh decor and clean, the overall hotel is clean there isn't much to do as it's just off the m4 and not close to the city center. The hotel lived up to our expectations found on the web. The hotel is ultra modern with ample free car parking. The rooms were very comfortable and well equiped with free web access. What also impressed us was how quiet the place was even with the many guests there. Great Hotel comfort It was to be our Honneymoon only getting married that Day ! But due to a Major emergency at work had to dash to sort out So the rest of the evening was spent at A & E looking after a member of staff

Stayed at the hotel with my husband and two children the hotel was easy to find, hotel was clean and the staff we very friendly.The only thing I would advise is to get to breakfast early than 9.00 am as it was very busy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to our friends.

Excellent hotel, clean and tidy and the reception staff were really friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money will definately stay again.

Location no so hot but thats not why we stayed. 2 wedding parties in so hectic but staff were great. Excellent value for money.

We stayed two nights and although we're satisfied overall but we weren't impressed when on the second day we found out that none of the tea cups had been replaced/washed and even when we asked for clean cups they gave us some cups that were dirty again! Excellent choise for the money, especially if you travelling with a car you can drive out of the city and stay in a such a good hotel at a good value. Sofa bed was not comfortable, since the matress is so slim. Internet was only for cable access and single user. Hence you wont be able to use your ipad. Stayed for one night on the way through, ate in the restaurant, had breakfast - simple stay, but was very good - well sign posted (although you do have to go through a building site at the moment to get to it), easy parking, fast check in, very helpful staff, excellent room (quieter air conditioning would be nice, but that is a global problem), nice […] food in the restaurant, reasonable breakfast, quick check out. i used this hotel, for an overnight stay as i was driving from pembroke to london, it is located right by motorway so it suited me perfectly. The hotel is actually lovely inside and i would stay here again. The staff were good and it did a decent buffet breakfast in the morning.

Good all round and excellent value for money. We'll use again without hesitation.
