Staff very helpful. This is a stand-out location in Central.

Great hotel with helpful staff. Only downside is the rooms are very small.

Overall the location is super cool... close to Queens Road, the MTR and SOHO. It's in the middle of the local vegetable, flower and meat markets so you can get a really local feel right in the middle of the glamour and business district of Central. The staff was nice. The hotel was clean. My only complaint was that the carpet was a little old; the room […] felt damp, and I think someone must have had a durian fruit in the vicinity at some point because it had an unpleasant odor. It seemed to only be on the 21st floor though. The other floors didn't have this smell when the elevators opened. Devamı

This boutique hotel is wonderfully located smack bang in the heart of Central. I could walk to all business appointments during the day and to the restaurants and bars at night. Staff are friendly and capable. The only downside is the size of the (superior) room - it was tiny so the cat has to be swung somewhere else.

could be difficult to catch a taxi, other than that, the hotel is nicely decorated, clean, quiet, and a nice touch of nespresso at reception desk area. will stay there again for a quick sleep-over.

Reception is one flight up from ground floor.

Best location and walking distance to those major buildings in Central. The street still have an old Hong Kong and you can feel the energy.

Great hotel. Room was excellent. And location close to central and hong long station.

Great location and good value. Staff was very friendly and I received a free upgrade to my room upon arrival. Rooms we not huge but were clean and modern. Location is great, short walk to the places you want to go in central. When you arrive at the hotel the lobby is up a floor from the street level so just take the elevator up one from the street level […] "reception", had me puzzled for a couple minutes. Devamı

Really enjoyed my stay at the Butterfly. Room was very clean - no smell in the hallway that was mentioned in the other post. Service was great as well. Love the location - easy to get anywhere in Central. Will stay here again on my next trip.

About a 15 minute walk to shopping, good bars, and restaurants. The street isn't the nicest at the point of the hotel, but completely safe. Small rooms, but we were barely there. Well equipped bathrooms with good toiletries. Free Wi-Fi.

Stayed at the Butterfly on Wellington twice in the last couple weeks. Front desk service is great. All staff are very courteous and helpful and make every effort to accommodate special requests. Would definitely recommend!

Too many mistakes and over booking. I appreciate the prompt response of the front desk crew. But, it is impossible to make so many mistakes... The location is good, but it was too noisy during the holiday season.

This hotel is really well located. The rooms are comfortable but not that big. Our bathroom door was also frosted glass but you could see through it. Not ideal for two people who don't know each other that well. There's no breakfast either but a coffee shop up the road is good enough.

Unbeatable location if you want to be in Central or Mid-Levels. No food in hotel but you're in a great neighborhood right by the wet market and the pulse of Hollywood Road, Lan Kwai Fong and Central. Very good value.

Brilliant location, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff - We'd definitely stay there again. From this hotel, its only a short walk to the cafes and bars in SoHo (via the covered walkway and escalator), Central Station MTR, and the Star Ferry terminal to Kowloon. The hotel staff were very quick to clean our rooms each day after we hung the sign […] on the doors, and were quick to respond to requests for ice or an iron. Only three things stopped me from giving this hotel a clean sweep of top ratings: 1. reception/check-in was up the lift to the first floor and the signage on the ground floor wasn't clear, and there were no staff on the ground floor to welcome guests on arrival. 2. There was constant maintenance/construction going on on the footpath at the entrance to the hotel, which sometimes meant having to step off the path and on to the busy street (so you had to keep your wits about you for traffic on the narrow street), and 3. There were clumps of dust on the floor behind the bathroom door, so the cleaning staff obviously don't vacuum there. None of these things bothered me in the slightest. We had a wonderful time In Hong Kong and would happily stay again at the Butterfly on Wellington. Devamı

Very Nice Hotel... Just a few blocks from the night life.

At first glance, the neighborhood where the hotel is situated looks rundown. However, it's PERFECT for quick access to all sorts of fun things: street vendors, tons of restaurants (of all varieties) and shops, and within walking distance to IFC, ferries, subway, and all sorts of tourist sites like the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, Hong […] Kong Park, the tram to the Peak... It's relatively cheap compared to some other places to boot! Hotel condition is nice and clean. You can even find slippers in the closet to wear after using their great showers! Only complaint is the beds were a little hard for my taste. All said and done, it was a great experience and will stay there again. Devamı

Located in the heart of a great residential neighborhood with many restaurant choices, next to escalator and ten minute walk from airport train and two minute walk to Central Shopping. Very small room but not uncommon in Hong Kong, clean and modern; with helpful staff.

I found the staff very helpful and the general condition of the hotel good. I have no complaints and would definitely stay over again and recommend others.

The Butterfly in Central Hong-Kong is easy to get to, and just a quick taxi ride to Victoria Harbor, and sightseeing. The room was a beautiful modern Asian design, with extremely comfortable bed and furnishings, and free wi-fi throughout. The concierge service was wonderful. I like how the area surrounding the hotel has relatively good and affordable eating places. The wet markets gave the place a feel of how people live in HK.

My family and I loved the location of the Butterfly on Wellington. We spent 3.5 days touring and seeing the city and the hotel was exactly what we needed. It was clean and spacious, the staff went above and beyond to help us out, we really appreciated the loaner umbrellas as it rained our entire visit and we loved how easy it was to get to everything […] we wanted to see. The little resturant across the street served a tasty breakfast and the bakery down the street had some lovely treats. I really liked this hotel for the convenience, location, nice size rooms and price. However, they have a serious plumbing issue that causes some of the rooms to smell like mildew. We had to buy an odor absorber and keep the bathroom door shut at all times to keep the smell to a reasonable level. Their hallways and lobby are freezing cold, so be sure to bring a sweater if you plan to use wifi-- it works better in the lobby for free, than it does in the room for $$. The staff is terrific, they really do their best. Overall for the price, room size, decor, and the easy access to Central's shopping, restaurants, and transportation, Butterfly is a great deal. Great location near the escalator and restaurants/bars and walking distance to all forms of public transportation. Reasonable price for a very nice, quiet room. Very comfortable bed and nice decor. I spent two weeks here and would stay here again.

I stayed in the Butterfly on Wellington for two nights after a hectic week working in Shenzhen. I was on my own and was a little apprehensive about exploring the area by myself. I needn't have been. The hotel staff were great, very helpful and courteous. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the rainfall shower, comfy bed and in room wifi […] were really pleasant surprises. The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk to the mid-level escalators, making trips to the central pier extremely easy. It's also an easy walk to the Peak tram (I recommend getting there early to avoid the queues). It's also close to Exchange Sq for buses all over the island, and great for the Metro. I found that I attracted quite a lot of attention being a fair haired Western woman but at no point did I feel unsafe - I just wasn't as inconspicuous as I'd hoped! The hotel literature in the rooms say that each Butterfly hotel is really a part of the community it is located in, and I couldn't agree more. Once you open the front door, you are right in the centre of 'real' Hong Kong, which you can't say of some of the more up-market hotels in the tourist-y, more sanitised parts of the city. Want to be right in the middle of the action on Hong Kong Island? The Butterfly is just up the escalator from IFC Centre, close to the MTR train station, Star Ferry and all the central sights. Hotel location was great, in the Central district on Hong Kong Island, near loads of shops and nice restaurants and very easy to explore other places. Staff were really friendly and the hotel is very nicely presented

I stayed here for 2 nights on my way from London to New Zealand. i was tired after a long flight and it was so nice to enter the tranquil surroundings of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and the check in procedure was very efficient. The hotel is fairly new and my room was beautifully appointed. This hotel has a great location in Central, nice contemporary/Asian decoration. The hotel is a basic and clean place for a short stay in HK where you need to be in Central. Not recommended for more than 3 nights.

The hotel is very close to Soho area with lots of small boutiques & great restaurants and also v convenient to Central - H&M and the luxurious malls. I wld come back again just cos I love the location so much. We were extremely blessed to get upgraded to their Exec Suite which was heavenly and super spacious. Loved the nespresso machine & the strong […] pressure rain shower! The staff were v helpful and able to speak gd english. I would not recommend the Butterfly on Wellington to Western travellers. The quality of service displayed to Asian guests compared to me, being a Western guest, was much lower than delivered to their Asian guests. The staff were not very helpful, friendly, and it felt like I was causing a major inconvenience to them by asking basic questions such as, […] "where is the nearest post box". The fridge in my room did not work during the entire stay, and despite speaking to their Reception staff on four occasions, no effort was made to either move me to another room or offer a viable solution other than Reception freezing my drinks for me. The size of the room was extremely small and despite booking a Queen Bed was given a Double Bed. It was one of the first times that the room I booked did not match the pictures on the internet. The television did not work properly either, and toilet made noises throughout the night. It is the most disappointing hotel I've stayed at, and as a frequent business and personal traveller to Asia, the worst hotel. It is for the reasons above that I would not recommend the Buttterfly on Wellington. Devamı

I loved this Hotel. A fantastic location, fabulous staff, extremely comfortable room. i will definietly stay again and have already recommended it. I had a superior room and found it was perfect size for me, travelling solo. My only complaint is that the acutal floor i was on had a real HK smell, not great! My room was fine, no smell at all.
