ALPINE LODGE AND SUITES - Cookeville

WE were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and comfort of our room. All the amenities and at a budget price. I'd definitely stay here again and also recommend it to our friends.

The hotel is perched above the Interstate with lovely views & has patio/balcony access from rooms to enjoy them. The nearby bar is smoking/seedy; the property was obviously a HoJo's in a previous incarnation. There are places to eat downtown, and a friendly staff to make waffles on site in the morning for the continental breakfast. The shortcomings […] were noted & are being addressed by the manager. (Headboard fell off the wall during the night bc it was screwed into drywall w/o use of "molly"s or other anchors) Ethernet cables are available, but WiFi is not. Bathrooms are not handicap accessible, ramps are few and very narrow/short. Cat adopted the recliner for his very own, had to be removed under protest next morning. Comfortable, clean-ish room. Would stay here again, as it is pet friendly and halfway between central NC & St. Louis. Devamı

We were appalled at the stench of the hallway leading to our room...Smoking and what ever was bad. Our room {non-Smoking}had some of it because of a big gap at the bottom of the door.i sprayed a whole can of Ozium in the room with the AC wideopen> we left for a couple hours and it was tolerable when we came back. The hallway stunk the whole time, i […] blocked the door gap with a towel.. The carpet in our room had grass on it when we walked in, it really needed a vacumn. The remodeled bathroom was spotless and looked nice. The bed was great althought the sheets were pretty worn. We had children blundering above us until 11:30 that night, sounded pretty strong thru the floor. I will make sure if I ever come back, to BOOK only in the newer section, which I guess is suites. This place was chosen because it is close to my daughter's home. I was pleasantly surprised with the acommedations here. They are doing some renovation and have done a good job. Will stay here again next time I visit Cookeville, TN

The rates are good but you get what you pay for. First off the hotel is new to hotels.com and they insisted on a new credit card impression for the cost of the rooms even though the rooms were prepaid. I did not however get double billed. Rented two of the more expensive room and both had problems. The non smoking room I was in smelled strongly of cigar […] and the other room smelled of bug killer. Then breakfast was very limited.
