Fun Holiday Beach Resort - Negril

I need to start with saying the staff was excellent.I was not happy with not being able to have a beer.I didn't come all inclusive so when attempting to pay no one knew what to do and I could never get change.You have American prices on the menue but no one knows how to handle the money.I was there 13 days and only once was I able to get a bottle of […] red stripe beer.No red stripe in a hotel? Never would have thought about that ever happening.because of this issue you lost allot of my business as I spent my money elsewhere.The one time I did drink there I only had 1000J and I had to leave it with the bartender because there was no change and so I had to drink it all.That is not right.One another topic the hotel is in an excellent location and is clean.Security does a great job looking out for us and all on all other than the no change or beer I felt welcome and enjoyed my stay very much.My room cleaner was excellent and friendly.Ms T I called her. hotels.com this is not a good hotel for your people. it is a buget hotel the service is very very bad! hope you will do something about this hotel. I will not book with your hotel web page if this is on it, and i will keep my eyes on the page from time to time. thanks for listen.

We were very disappointed with the management and the lack of, with this resort this year..Not enought of the nessecities such a towels and washclothes....They overbooked the hotel so much everyday that we were shipped out on our arrival at the hotel to another resort that was not up to our standards..there were many guests there that were not happy […] with their experience....The owners deffinatley need a major shake up .....WE had requested a fridge when we booked the vacation and we did not receive it tiol one wek into our vacation...When you go expecting everthing to be there when you arrive and you are constantly put off by the office your vacation is put under stress....Supposedly this was there first year trying to go inclusivev and that in it's self was a disaster. when by 2pm you are out of ice..beer and the hotel is completely with out water it is an unplesant situation. My sister and i had an awsome time at the Fun \holiday resort, its needs a little paint job here and there and maybe some new mattresses and pillows but it was clean, the staff was great especialy the maid service very friendly, would go back.

My family and friends really enjoyed our stay at Fun Holiday. It was right on the beach so it wasn't too far to walk. The staff was friendly and courteous. We had breakfast there, however there should be a little bit more variety. And to run out of Ackee and Saltfish is a no no. And where is the bammy? Come on. Other than that it was great. i requested a microwave and refridgerater while booking.when i got to the hotel and checked in no fridge or microwave in room went back to front desk and was informed that,they rent fridge and microwave for $5 us a day.THAT would amount to $150 u.s.the very heavy woman at the front desk went on to tell me how hard life is in jamaica,and how much her […] kids school books cost. My family and I recently stayed at FHBR . The beach was AWESOME, beautiful, clear, clean and very safe. The staff was attentive and sweet. I prefer the young lady rather than the guy because the guy seem to not care but was merely doing his job. The hotel is conveniently located to Jungle which is a happening night club. I went running every morning […] on the street and I felt safe. There are 2 cook shops located across the street that sell authentic Jamaican food for cheap. The karaoke Dj was awesome, friendly and kept my family entertained all night. Karaoking on the beach with a horrible voice like mine was lots of fun. Overall my family and I will stay at that hotel whenever we go back to Jamaica... i.e. January for Rebel Salute 2012!!!!! Devamı

good hotel for the money.

The room is very basic. You pay for any extras such as refrigerator, safe, microwave etc. The front desk was always out of change. The food was not good. I ordered the snapper steamed in coconut milk and the fish was not fresh. I did not enjoy eating at the hotel and went to local resturants within walking distance. This was the rainy season so there […] was no on site entertainment. Although most of the staff were friendly to me, they quarreled to much amongst themselves for everyone to hear. The condition of the rooms are not in date, they look like a little bit older, the rroms are so basic. The cleanless could be better. The restaurant is by the beach, the stuff is not so polite, but do not bothers you, the beach and amenities are nice. Bottomline, a wonderful beach in a budget hotel, that is what it is.

had a great time in jamaica. stayed at the samsara on the cliff- which was good and great cliff view, stayed at the white sand on the beach side. also ok as the restaurant is on the beach. but had a very accommodating and warm stay staff at the fun holiday. would definately stay here again and great rate. if it wasnt for the rate i wouldnt have stayed […] there which would have been a miss. the only hotel where the room curtains matches the blankets. lol! For the cost they had all you could expect, the resturant left a lot to be desired though. Live Entertainment some evening including Karokee. Its in the middle of the strip so you can walk up an down to visit other resturants or intresting location, whetehr on the beach or across the road. Staff responded to requests, however some of these requests […] should not have had to be made. Hotel has a great location on Negril's seven mile beach directly opposite jungle night club. The food seems to have been lacking in quality so very happy we didn't use the all inclusive option. The room was comfortable but it took a day to get the ac remote. Would recommend for visitors on a budget.

Good hotel for budget minded travellers. Check in was pretty smooth, room VERY basic. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Definately could use some sprucing up and better pillows. The towel issue stated by many is definately true. Pack you washclothes and beach towels. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, soap. We didn't take the all inclusive, […] but I had about 2 meals from there (supper). Not because it was bad, but I just like to venture out and try different places. There was a place not too far called Brothers Place, that had a nice vibe to it and great food. Lots of other choices around to eat. You wont go hungry. To change money took forever (20mins about) , and they never seemed to have small bills. We found alternatives however. Only 1 ATM in the immediate area (wasn't working) so be prepared or you may have to go further into the town. Ice machine was broken, so we had to continually ask at the bar for ice. (i think it's been broken for a while based on some other reviews) Staff was friendly - did their best to please. No unpleasantries. Beach chairs were not the best, but did the job. Umbrellas in short supply. If hotel was full, I could see real issues arising here. There was no phone in the room,or alarm clock There is a common phone on the ground level of the hotel. No deadbolt or chainlock in rooms. Overall, no frills but clean. Great location on the Negril Strip, beautiful beach. Great for relaxing (i'm sure it's different at spring break time). I'd definately be back to Negril but perhaps at a different hotel in the area. Devamı

Really had a good time, loved the location (right on the beach), loved the staff, but was very disappointed in the food. I will return there, but will eat out :)

This was a friendly hotel. The staff was helpful and the location was convenient compared to other facilities in the area. While it may not be the Beaches resort, you cannot beat the price, convenience, and location. There was internet, a restaurant, beach access, friendly staff, etc. The staff helped in making sure that my stay was pleasant and I did […] not fall into the typical tourist traps or scams.
