Convenience of being close to Carlsbad Caverns.

Fine hotel close to cave

i think this hotel gets a bad reputation, but it is really not awful. if you just need a place to stay for the night near the caverns, this place is just fine. i don't think it is worth it to drive all the way up to carlsbad, unless if you feel like you NEED more amenities and places to eat.

the motel is dated and well used. It was clean, all bedding was clean. The staff were friendly and helpfull. 1 closed motel was a bit unsitely. cafe and store nice. location to the caverns great, less than 10 minutes drive.

Adequate 2 star only 7 miles to caverns.

Me, my husband, and our 2 kids stayed here for our "honeymoon". We traveled from Albuquerque to spend our honeymoon at the Carlsbad Caverns and so I chose this hotel due to it's location. The only thing I have to say is that I saw a picture of it on hotels.com but it was totally different when we arrived. It was very nice though. Reasonable motel-type accommodations at the intersection of main road to Carlsbad Caverns National Park & US 62/180. Very close to park (~7mi), easily closest by ~20mi of comparable choices. Rooms were much larger than expected, and in clean shape with helpful staff. We did not try the one local restaurant, but instead opted to head up to Carlsbad (~20mi) where the bulk of food options are located. It should also be noted this motel is flanked by two closed motels in real need of repair or demolition, and the outside condition of this place is fair. All of this being said, we found this a decent place to stay for a night while on a long road trip --- and in far better shape than we'd feared from several negative reviews on this and other websites. As a Motel 6 devotee, most chain hotels offer more amenities and this was no exception. I had no problems and since I was on a hiking trip to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, White's City was 20 miles closer to the park than any motel in Carlsbad. In fact, I Caesar salad at the only sitdown restaurant in White's City, Velvet Garter, was not half […] bad. Ot the 3 meals in Carlsbad, two, Red Chimney BBQ and Trinity Hotel were disappointing in the lack of seasoning of sides in the former and entree in the latter. It was the worst Hotel I have aver stayed at. The light in parking lot were all out except one, the front desk attendant was not informed at all, the sheets smelled bad. We stayed with our clothes on all night long and the lights were not turned off just in case something would happen. The room right next to us were wide opened and when we asked about […] it we were told that they were working on those rooms. Just an over all bad experience next time I will defiantly travel the extra miles and stay in Carlsdad. Devamı

hot water was warm, no water presure at first then no water at all in the morning something broke.

Gut gelegen für Guadalupe Mountains und Carlsad Caverns. Zimmer sind groß, etwas abgewohnt. Mit Mikrowelle, leider kein Kühlschrank
