Iberostar Punta Cana All inclusive - Punta Cana

Because the Hotel was full, we got a free upgrade to Iberostar Babaro and had access to all Hotels during our stay. Iberostar Babaro exceeded my expectations and there is really nothing negative I can say. Only that the weather was not the best but it has nothing to do with the Hotel. Staff was friendly, good service, food was good (not the pizza), […] drinks were really good (coco loco, banana mama, rum punch and cuba libre) and the shows were entertaining. I stayed here for a week with my boyfriend and some friends. The place is really big and provides lots of options at a reasonable price if you need to please a range of interests. Overall, the biggest positives were the wonderful staff and the very nice and well kept facilities. I have really never seen cleaner public bathrooms in my life! We also found […] that with $10 tips we could easily get the drinks to be reasonably strong. The biggest negative was the food, which was mostly pretty bad. They spend money on the ingredients, but the recipes are bad and sitting on a buffet doesn't help. To give a gauge: the cereal was inedible. The Asian restaurant was quite tasty, Steak was good, and the Mexican was fine. They make it hard to get reservations, even though the places are empty. More minor negative would be the relatively uncomfortable beds (both ours and our friends' weren't great) and the somewhat older bedspreads/curtains. The common spaces were kept at a much higher level than the rooms. Not a huge deal in a beach resort where you are outside a lot, but a small investment here would be a big upgrade. Also to note: the pool seats get reserved really early (before 8:30) so you need to get out there early or expect to sit on the beach a bit farther away. The seats at the beach were actually more comfortable in my opinion. Overall we had fun and were really able to relax. It seemed like a good value. Good overall resort. Clean accomadations, friendly people, a lot to do. Only 3 dinner reservations for a 7 night stay. Other than those 3 meals breakfast and lunch were average at best. All in all good time.

If you can picture perfect vacation, then you can picture our vacation in Iberostar Punta Cana. We felt like we were stars :) From the first moment, when they welcome you with drinks, to the last moment when you leave with the smile on your face. Everybody was there to make us happy, and happy we were. Great service in every second. Food was delicious and never ending; choices from all over the world. We loved restaurant on a beach (the one that becomes steakhouse at night); fresh squeezed juices, great fruits (pineapples tasted sooo good), great service- we loved especially Eduardo and Elisony. They were great. Thanks guys :) that's just few from many great sides of our vacation. A nice place to stay and being that it was my second time says alot. However, the nce decorative towel designs (outdoors) are no longer done. The pool towelsare getting a bit old (you can always exchange I know). As for the food, a good variety when you first get there... lots to choose from, but you'll soon learn it doesn't really change to much. Good experience overall. Food was good and staff were very friendly. Animation was good as well. Room floor tiles were so smooth that you could easily slip & fall. Especially children. Outlets were too deep for some chargers. The plug could not reach until the end.

My husband and I had an amazing time! Hector at the front desk was extremely helpful; knowing that the vacation was a getaway for us, he gave us a beautiful room. Good hotel with lots of amenities. A bit dated rooms, but clean. Not a big deal, as you are going to spend most of your days on the beach, and the nights watching the shows anyway. Guest entertinement is the name of the game here. It's unlike any other place we've ever been to.You will never get bored there. Somethging is always happening. The staff […] is just marvelous. The Iberostar hotels are international so expect to see a lot of Europeans and people from South America. This adds to the exotic feel of the stay there. The food is just wonderful. The price of the all-inclusive package is great and you get wonderful variety and good quality. Try their great cappucino and wonderful breads. Yam-ooooo!! They have 6 restaurants, multiple shops, bars, disco,etc. This is important as there are no places to go outside of the hotel. The near by small town does not offer anyting interesting. One should know that the Iberostar Punta Cana is a good value for the money. My family of 4 adults thought the food was above average. The resort appears to be older, but is very well maintained. The buffets & common areas are open air, warm, & humid. The specialty restaurants are air conditioned except for the steak house. The entertainment was enjoyable […] in the evenings. The staff is friendly & manages English fairly well, but Spanish is primary. Also, if you don't like large population density, this resort may not be for you. The beach & pool areas are crowded during the day, & finding unoccupied lounge chairs was a constant struggle. Your room & sometimes the open air lobby is the only place you will find quiet. The hotel itself is very nice and set in lush surroundings. It sits side by side with the Iberostar Dominicana and you have access to all the facilities that both hotels have to offer under the all inclusive banner. Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating although one girl on reception was most unpleasant. At one point during our stay […] we unfortunately had left the key in the room and went to reception to ask for another. This girl at the reception desk (unfortunately I didn't get her name) just kept looking at me as if I was something she had stepped in while I was explaining the situation. I did get a new key but she made it seem as if it was the most difficult thing in the world to provide it for me. The second incident was when we were checking out the same girl told my husband that he had to pay for the in room safe but we knew we didn't because at check in we were told it was included as we had booked through Expedia. The girl then insisted that we had booked through some other company but my husband was able to produce our confirmation from Expedia so she begrudgingly accepted and practically threw the check out invoice at him. Food at all the places we ate was okay but nothing fantastic - everything tasted a little bland but as with all all-inclusives (in our opinion) you get what you pay for. Also I saw one staff member from the Dominicana buffet (near the pool) leave the bathroom without washing her hands - a definite no no :( Devamı

I have stayed in another Iberostar resort and had such a great experience. When it was time to book our honeymoon, Iberostar was at the top of the list. This resort did not meet the high standards of the other resort. Upon arriving we explored the grounds and wandered too close to the new section and were quickly ushered away as unwanted guests. My […] husband got food poisoning on the second day there which was not an isolated incident according to the other Americans. The bed was no better than sleeping on tile floor. There wasn't anything special about our stay. We transferred hotels to the Hard Rock to complete our honeymoon on a high note. I normally can always find something nice to say about the various all inclusive resorts- with that said, our room was always clean, just never the same time of day. Resort was great. Do not use U.S. Airways, they lost our luggage and we never got it back. Had to buy cloths and stuff at resort. They were very rude and unhelpful.

Great deal for the price but definitely not a 5 star especially with food and quality of bedding. With that being said the customer service was amazing, vibrant, and fun. No one speaks English but this isn't the US, lol. Fun for everyone, families, students, and retirees.

I read a lot of reviews before selecting this hotel and most of them are accurate. It is truly a 3 star hotel so the service and facilities are consistent with that. I found the dining staff to be the best attraction, in addition to the beach which was superb. The bar staff was somewhat less friendly but I read they treat you better if you tip, which […] I didn't. The food choices were more than sufficent but do tend not to be hot, sometimes barely warm. I often found myself wishing for a microwave! The room was nicely/modestly appointed but the bed was definitely too soft. My air conditioner didn't work well either most of the time even though they sent someone to fix it. It's true, make your reservations for the speciality restaurants as soon after arrival as possible. Also, explore the resort as some shops and dining areas are a little hidden--I finally found the soft serve ice cream machine 4 days after my arrival! There's place to go shopping for typical tourist stuff up the beach to the right. Make sure not to take the first price they give you! All in all it's a very nice place! Devamı

This was our 4th trip to Punta Cana. We have stayed at the VIK, Occidental Grand, Ocean Blue and now Iberostar Punta Cana and would rank the Iberostar #1. The room was fine, always plenty of bottled water, soda and beer in the refrigerator, a safe that worked and Mildred cleaned it very good every day. Nothing too special but who wants to hang out […] in the room anyway? There were always plenty of chairs on the beach. I rarely saw chairs that weren't reserved by the pool but if I wanted to hang out by the pool I would have just gone to Florida. Punta Cana is all about the beach for us. The buffets had plenty of variety for us so we didn't go to the other restaurants. The fish and deserts were always spectacular. The bars were always fun. Maria in the lobby bar took real good care of us, the guys running the beach bar were a lot of fun and Romeo at the show bar was awesome. Here's my main advice: you're on vacation, have fun! If you are particular about every little thing, don't choose this hotel or any hotel on the cheap/medium cheap price range. If you are expecting to be pampered and every employee to speak perfect English, you will need to spend more money on the hotel. With that said, we are very easy to please. As long as there is a clean bed/bathroom, no bugs/critters in the room, a good selection of food at the buffet for Dinner, and chairs available at the beach we will be happy. We were very happy at the Iberostar Punta Cana and would definitely return! Devamı

Overall the hotel was awesome. The room (junior suite) was very spacious and nice. The safe worked and we didn't have any problems with the room key. The room needed a minor updating as furninture seemed a little dated. But the room was clean and was perfectly acceptable. The hotel gounds, pool, beach area, restaurants, etc... were well maintained and […] beautiful. The staff was outstanding! Everyone was very helpful and in good spirits at all times. The only exception to this was the staff working the casino. They were rude and seem as thought they wanted to be anywhere but there. I found out that the casino staff is not employed by the hotel, so the poor casino service should not be held against the hotel. The hotel was an excellent value for the money. The food, service and accommodations were excellent. The hotel staff were helpful friendly and went out of their way to please you. I cannot say the same however, for the on-site Casino. I understand the Casino is managed by a different firm than the hotel. The staff there were not friendly, the machines […] did not payout when they were supposed to and the overall attitude of the personnel was poor. The room was in disrepair upon arrival we called the front desk about or air conditioning not working, and the bathroom faucet about to fall off, this was our sixth time at this resort so we expected repairs done or moved to another room. 14 days later nothing was fixed! The room Was kept very clean. The staff was very friendy as always.We went back […] this year to see staff members who have become like family. But I doubt we will return. Our Blue rep. was not interested in helping with anything, and we had to chase her down the last day for our pick-up time for the Airport. The food was ok. Pretty much anything you felt like eating was available. However it didn't have a lot of flavor like they didn't use much spices. The beach was beautiful and the water warm. Although we would have preferred a little more privacy because it seemed there were people everywhere. When looking at another all~inclusive resort we won't care […] so much about the number of restraunts or activities but less rooms and less people. Even though there was a little language barrior there were enough english speaking staff to get our point accross. The staff was very nice and kept theresort very very clean. Surprisingly there were even a few english channels on tv. Although we are from wisconswe would say the drinks were watered down. They are tasty but you could drink all day and still be sober. This was my third stay at an Iberostar hotel. I would have to say it was the best of all. The food was very good. The buffet for all meals was much better than I ever expected and far superior to the specialty restaurants. The beach is incredible at over five miles in length. I definitely plan to return.

Room was overbooked, so it took long to get a room. My wife was bit by bugs and big rash came out on couple of spots on her body, so we should bought after bite cream for $23.00.

At first, we found the staff to be pleasant, however as the week went on and we encountered problems, we found most of the staff rude. If you didn't speak Spanish, they were very rude and acted as if they were doing you a favor. From the front lobby fountains being dirty to the rooms being out-dated and mildew around the bathroom ceilings, and the maids […] only half cleaning the rooms, every-other day, the quality at a Days Inn is much better. Forget trying to get bottled water!! They only filled the mini-bar every other day We had to plead with the maids when catching them in the hallway for more water, and they acted as though they couldn't spare a water!!! The food in the buffet was horrible!! If you like salty, processed meats and canned/frozen vegetables or unripe, tasteless produce, then maybe you will find it appealing. It was all you can eat, however, was hungry everyday but could not eat! For the price, it was outrageous and unless you drink (which we don't) forget it..... Devamı

The Iberostar Punta Cana and the adjesent Iberostar Dominicana are basicaly 2 hotels in one. We stayed at the Punta Cana and used both hotels . The grounds, pools, beach, bars and club are all in high standards. we wher 6 adults a child of 11 and a baby 9month and all had a great time the only reason i do not give the hotel 5 stars in the overall rating is […] the dinner. We stayed at Iberostar P.C. for 9 days and had an amazing time. The hotel staff and all employees were extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone always had a smile and was always willing to go out of their way to help with anything and everything. We had 3 dinner reservations at the Gourmet, Mexican, and Asian restaurants. The Gourmet was hands down […] the best meal we had during our trip. The Asian and Mexican restaurants were also very good. Even the buffet dinners were decent, though we preferred to eat at the Dominicana buffet for both breakfast and dinner: the dining room there was recently renovated and the presentation just seemed a bit nicer. Overall, great trip. We ended up scuba diving with dressel divers, the onsite dive shop, and were thoroughly pleased with the service and professionalism. I highly recommend Iberostar Punta Cana. It is a first rate resort. The room was clean and in good shape. The grounds were very well cared for. There was plenty of room around the large pool and the beach was in magnificent shape. The food was good but not great but there was plenty of it. You will never go hungry here. I was there in March 2011. From day one to day 8 I had a perfect vacation. The stuff was friendly, the food was good, the beach was clean. I was worrying about the construction of the other hotel. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Iberostar Punta cana! The grounds were beautiful, the food was decent...loved the breakfast offered! and the ice cream bar. Perfection! The room was always clean and beautiful as well. The only down fall in the room was the construction going on next door at the Riu resort and the in-room "bar". Only thing included was […] beer, which is fine if you like beer but for someone like me who does not like it at all, it was lacking. However, that is a very minor thing. The staff seemed friendly, the pools always appeared clean and the beach was beautiful!
