The International Guest House - Edinburgh

All good, a well-kept and elegant old Victorian...on a row of Victorian BnB's. ONe negative..wifi internet service in room was spotty, at best. Droipped off quite often Location is right on a main road...so rather easy to find, and a great road for central city access....the 25 minute walk did us good! CAfes and restaurants closer than that

Friendly and helpful landlord, good breakfast, charming oldfashioned rooms, easy to go downtown by bus (or walk). Room was a bit too cold in spring season, and the small fridge too noisy. It was our 2nd visit, and probably not our last!

I do recommend everyone to stay in this Hotel. The room is so beautiful an very comfortable. The hall which you will be eaten your breakfast is so beautiful which gives you a lot of positive energy. The only problem is about internet which it is no signal inside your room and you force to come to the ground floor but I assume most of you prefer to stay […] outside than browsing on internet. The staffs were really polite and helpful. It is not very far from the city center just you need to take a bus which goes directly to the city center. The bus stop is also very close to the Hotel and they have over night bus which makes everything very convenient. Devamı

Very nice and friendly service with a good breakfast and a very good price-quality ratio.

lovely b&b near the city centre. bus to old town takes about 10 minutes depending on the traffic. the owner's of this place are very polite and pleasant. tasty scotish breakfast with cereals, yoghurts etc. the building itself would need a bit updating. new bathrooms, windows and ventilation systems and it would be perfect! we had a lovely stay.

This is a lovely small guest house in Mayfield garden with very friendly and helpful hosts. It is within walkable distance from the city center (15-20min), but if you are tired one day there are buses all the time. The singel rooms are pretty small, but clean and warm. I especially loved the traditional home decor with roses on the wallpapers, curtains […] etc. If anyone want to stay in a traditional and clean guest house I warmly recommend the International Guest House! The location is slightly far from the city centre, although still within reasonable walking distance. I had a comfortable stay in the single ensuite. Room is a bit on the small side, but bathroom/toilet is a good size. Breakfast was excellent with choices of continental as well as the cooked option. There was nothing wrong that stood out about this hotel, but nothing caught my attention for good reasons either. Clean and tidy but needs a decour update. Slightly odd service too. I came for breakfast at the time it started but no-one showed up for 15min. I think i would have been impressed with the place if it was a 2 star, but not 4 star!!!

Period hotel with period furnishings that come at a very reasonable price. Hotel spotlessly clean & tidy with very friendly staff that went the extra mile to make our stay very enjoyable. Morning fry-up sets you up for the day - Scottish hospitality at its best. Had a lovely stay. Our accommodation was conveniently close to centre of town, with buses running frequently. Our hosts were very friendly & helpful & made us feel very welcome. Beautifully decorated with a warm ambiance to it. Our bedroom was lovely & roomy with only one exception with the bed beeing slightly on the small side & lumpy. Hyggelige folk, greie rom, og god frokost. Det ble sagt å være 20 minutter fra sentrum, men egentlig er det 30 minutter å gå til gamlebyen. Enkelt å ta buss, enkelt å finne.

The small single room I rented was probably last refurbished decades ago, but it was nice, clean and tidy. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Standard B&B breakfast (full Scottish, cereals, fruit) - not fantastic ("les saucisses est terrible", as the French couple beside me expressed it, and the coffee is clearly Nescafe), but the hosts go out of their […] way to give you what you want. Very friendly and hospitable management. You have your own key to the front door and come and leave as you want. Very easy access to city centre with bus stop right by and plenty of buses - make sure you have the exact change (when I was there, 3 pound 20 for an adult day ticket - so not expensive at all). Small, nice and cosy hotel where you feel at home :)

Nice family run guest house. It was quite a walk from the center. Recommend to take a taxi or a bus. The stop is next to. The room was rather small but I managed. The ensuite bathroom was nice and clean. The bed was ok. The breakfast was typical Scottish which I loved. Very good service and friendly personnel.

O quarto é enorme, confortável e a decoração lindíssima. O hotel fica a 2 min de um ponto de ônibus, de onde se leva 10 min para chegar da Old Town. O bairro é muito agradável.
