Horizon Inn - San Jose

Well, the room was fine. It was clean, and looked nice. But the hotel is located next to a Cantina, which I thought wasn't safe. And the Hotel claims to provide free breakfast. Well, that's not true. The only thing they provide is coffee, and a piece of a pastry. I was hungry and was very dissapointed about that. They don't even have a breakfast area. […] They just put the coffee machine next to where you check in. Also, they claim you can use the internet . The room had an overwhellming smokers odor. Don't they know what Fabreeze is???

I was a little taken back when I first saw the exterior, but the interior was very clean and rather well decorated. However, the 'breakfast buffet' was only coffee and prepacked pastries, I was little disappointed with that.. There is a Mexican Restaurant on premises and the food was pretty good. Over all a very good deal for the rice.

A little farther from the airport than we thought. In need of updating, a little worn. Basic motel.

I would not stay there again. We were on the first floor and the window did not lock and the screen has a hold in it. There was no clock in the room and the vending machines for soda and waters had nothing in it. Room was clean, but very basic. The traffic at night is really loud.

the first room they gave me had an offensive odor, after contacting hotel.com they changed my room the next morning. of course I had called them late at night , they couldn't changed it earlier. the tub was painted. the sheets were very clean. the second room had a brand new tub and sink and faucets. service was good and staff were friendly, their breakfast […] was coffee and cookie. free maps and restaurant booklet were available for surrounding area which was very helpful. the rooms were dark colors, dark brown and dark purple which brought the mood down. it is better if they paint their rooms with a light color with light curtains and light carpet and light bed covers. plenty of parking space. bus stop was right in front of the motel. traveling to downtown san jose was very convenient. Our room was not ready when we checked in. Had to wait for the cleaner. There was a hole in the screen (looked like someone was trying to break in). TV remote did not work, no stopper in the sink, Did not look like a safe neighborhood. No free shuttle from and to the airport. One positive thing: good Mexican restaurant with good and plenty of food. […] We did not feel safe staying here. Devamı

I was very pleasingly surprised when I came in to my room, the furnishing was very good, the bed was comforting and the room was big and clean. Furthermore the receptionist was welcoming and nice, and the Mexican restaurant next door was a good and cozy place to eat and stay.

Hotel staff not available in the mornings. Ghetto surroundings, not too safe to be in after dark.

This hotel is clean, but the bracket have a bad smell.

arrived at 1:00 for reserved room. Told room was not finished being cleaned. Sat in parking lot waiting the 30 minutes I was told they needed. Unknowingly right in front of the room i was given. Apparently which was ready the entire time as there was no cleaning going on the whole time I sat there. Front desk staff not very friendly. Room was decent, […] clean and comfortable. This hotel was better maintained than I expected. The decor inside was actually above average. You could tell they want to be above other inns in the area. The only downside is that we thought it was closer to the downtown area, as advertised by this website. But that wasn't an issue. It was only about 6 miles away. Though they advertise a free breakfast, […] it's only store-bought pastries. Better to go spend your money at the local fast food place a couple blocks down. Devamı

From the time we checked in to the time we checked out the staff was very helpful and the surroundings were comfortable.

the manager keeps a good eye on the place and there's a nice place to eat twenty feet from your door.

The staff is friendly and attentive but it is still a rundown motel with dirty rooms.

It was alright, needed a place to stay for one night. Dude at the front desk was pretty helpful. Would stay here again.

This hotel is affordable, It's on the busline to San Jose. (The bus comes every half hour and you can ride it for $2.) The location is not the best, and it is not fancy, but the owner is awesome. He helped us out in more than one circumstance --even though he did not have to. In the hotel, there is a personal fridge, a TV, cable, Free Wireless, two […] sinks, and A/C. It is a mix between a hostel/hotel. I recommend the place for someone on a budget. Devamı

First time staying in San Jose! It was for me and my 9-year old (just for the night). We arrived late and stood outside for about 10 minutes before someone came to the door. Room was a smoking room (strong smoke)! I felt it was very unclean. I was afraid to stand barefoot on the floor. Laid towels out to walk to the bed to the bathroom. The room had […] a kitchenette; however, the stove piece was just setting on it. No drapes over the window in the kitchen or the bathroom where the light from the hotel sign came directly in and had a hard time sleeping because of to much light. Very noisy due to the streets. Didn't set anything on the floor. Looked in the drawer and found condems and oil (instead of a bible)! Felt like it was a paid by the hour motel. The toilet needed replaced with alot of the seat pealed off. The toilet let wouldn't stay up for my son. Some lights were not working. The maid knocked on the door at 8:30 asking for dirty towel!
