Tangerine Hotel - Burbank

It was a convenient place to stay and the hotel had a spunk about it but I feel like it was a bit over priced and the girl at the front counter was clearly bored to death with her job and gave me the run around when I asked for a second parking pass. She explained to me that she had already handed out doubles too many times that day and needed to save […] the rest for late arrival guests. Don't explain to me that you have already handed out multiple passes to other guests if you don't intend on giving me one. She did finally give me one, but made me feel pretty bad about asking. Nice clean motel-style place to stay. Neat and stylish decor. Small bathroom, but has everything you need. Stay would be improved with real cups and glasses. I understand why they use disposable ones, but it makes a big difference to me.

This was our second time staying at Tangerine Hotel and we'll return again. This is a great hotel to stay at. Very close to universal studios and Hollywood blvd. the bed is comfortable and the pool is heated. Parking lot a little small but there's parking in the back and it's free so that's good. Would definitely stay again. Overall 4 stars

Location was great, restaurants galore. Italian restaurant was super. Hotel staff extremely helpful. Pool was heated. Free coffee and hot chocolate in lobby an extra surprise. Definitely would recommend it.

Really convenient location to lots of LA attractions. And my wife loved the espresso machine in the lobby, and the Cuban pastries every morning.

Very clean and comfortable. Great location for us. Staff had great recommendations for meals etc. Would defiantly stay there again.

Excellent staff service. Brilliant location! Surprise Danish breakfast and free yummy drinks 24hours! Walking distance to Warner Brothers tour. 5 mins away from Universal studios by car. We stayed at this hotel twice over a long weekend, with a visit to Palm Springs in between. The first night we arrived late, but the desk is open 24 hours, so not a problem. We were in a ground floor king and it was very comfortable and quiet. The second stay was a Sunday night and we were also in a ground floor king. This room had all polished concrete […] floors that were a bit cold, but after running the heat, it was OK. My only complaint was the towels and shower curtain were a little worn - but clean. Bed very comfy! Hot drink machine and fresh Danish free in AM. For a nice place to crash at night, a good thumbs up! Devamı

I would have driven past this hotel. It's been converted from the typical motel look and at it's core, that's still what it is. What the owners have done, is bring in some of the best beds I've ever slept in, in hotels with great sheets and pillows, the rooms have been given a contemporary make-over with flat screens, good seats etc. Great wi-fi, lovely […] staff from the front desk to the housekeepers, and situated in a great area within a few mins of cafes and restaurants or a quick drive to the freeway for access to the studios or Hollywood. This hotel provides excellent value for money and as I stay in this area about 45 night a year, this is going to be my new first choice. Devamı

From the moment we checked in I could tell we were going to enjoy our stay here. The front desk clerk on duty, her name is Lacy, I'm not sure I spelled her name correctly, but she was terrific. Very knowledgeable of the area and quite happy to answer my questions with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. This hotel was perfect for our needs as we had tickets for the Tonight Show. NBC Studios were nearby. Rooms were clean and, contemporary, if not a bit stark. Bed was comfortable. We could hear noises from outside our room quite clearly though. Free coffee and danish was a nice touch. Easy access to the highway.

LA industrial - redone 50's motel, reasonably quiet and off the beaten path. Concrete floors a little stark but great beds, shower ok. Bad lobby coffee, decent pastries. For the money it's just fine.

The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The only issue would be the parking, but could overlook this as the location was perfect to the Warner Brother Studios and Pricilla's Coffee Shop - the best coffee around!!!

I have to say that when I was looking around I was a little reluctant to stay at the hotel because of the low "star" rating. I will say that this rating doesn't do this hotel justice at all and read the reviews because they are very accurate. The hotel has a retro 60s feel in the heart of Burbank, with a price that is like staying at a Motel 6 in Rivertucky. […] The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the location was so great. Oh and did I mention, NO PAY PARKING, in the heart of LA that just is unheard. My only complaint was the traffic noise that started around 6am, but this was mostly because our room was right on the main street. I would tell anyone that this hotel is a STEAL for the price and I have stayed at a lot of places in SCAL for triple the price not as nice. This is a motel and the rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. Free parking is behind the motel. The place was clean, quiet (a weekday night) and had an easy check in and out process. The area is expensive and this is a lower priced place to stay. We were there for one night. The breakfast was pastries, coffee and tea. Kind of different, its a small hotel with a theme in each room. Its no 5 star but it does the job, especially given the rates in the area.

My stay with my 3 children was safe and enjoyable. We had many options for food either walking or delivery while we stayed there. They have a coffee machine that is available 24 hours and has the most incredible choices. Who needs Starbucks when you stay there, and the coffee is free and all you can drink! Great Hotel, great price, and safe .

I loved the Tangerine! In the heart of Toluca Lake and in walking distance to some very nice restaurants! The rooms were constantly clean and well maintained. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The only drawback is the lack of front parking but there is plenty in back of the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

This motel-turned-hotel was great. After seeing all of the positive review about it on the internet, I figured I'd reserve a night for two. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the city noise outside was nothing a bottle of wine couldn't drown out. They even provided us with a complimentary corkscrew! Sorry, but I'm not understanding all the "Great" reviews. This is a Motel 6 that did some painting and brought in trendy furniture. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. Anyway, good location, but you get what you pay for.

Bright orange stairs and handrails but that's what attracted me to this hotel! Room was clean and modern with widescreen TV and coffee maker. The staff were fantastic, very pleasant and most helpful, knowledgeable about the restaurants in the area. Nice hotel. I'd stay again.

This is my second time there within a year, I enjoyed the neighborhood, very close to Warner and Universal. Staff is great, the room are clean, a bit noisy, the first night at 5 am my neighbor decided to watch TV, too bad it was almost like I was in the same room, but apart of that very nice place to stay.

I chose The Tangerine Hotel based on internet reviews and pictures. Also, its close proximity to family. I wasn't sure what it was going to be like. I was very pleasantly surprised! The hotel is modern, very clean, and the people at the front desk are friendly. I felt safe and very comfortable. I definitely will stay there again.

This is a very simple, small and nice hotel. Its a converted older hotel, updated with a modern look. The lobby is small but very stylish. The front desk clerk was very kind. Imagine a La Quinta Inn, with some ikea furniture and lighting, a re-bath bathroom, grohe faucets, a 27" LCD, new carpet, and a fancy wall poster behind the bed. We recently stayed at this hotel and the staff was very nice and helpful. The parking situation was terrible, I almost was hit by a fast passing car when I tried to leave the lot! It looks like they took a Motel 6 and painted and revamped with new furniture. I will say that it is located in an area that is easy to commute to Universal City or Hollywood […] studio areas. Hotel close to Universal Studios. Room was very clean, modern decor..loved the concrete floors!

The staff was very helpfull at all hours day and night.They need to work on their wifi,but everything else was good.

We were able to take a 15 minute ride on the city bus to Universal Studios. Surrounding area was fine. Staff was helpful. Did not spend a lot of time in the room or at the hotel. Bed was comfortable.

It is a renovated hotel and was clean. Location was close to area sites (Universal Studios). Modern decor. Bed was pretty comfortable. Rooms appear on website to be bigger than what they really are in person. Old motel bought up to date which works very well. Our room was a little tucked away by the back ally and had we wanted a lie in we would have been woken by the refuse collectors at six in the morning.The overiding feature of this motel is the location versus cost ratio five minute walk to Warner Bros five minutes in the car to Universal etc. A mention […] must go to the reception staff who were all very professional and willing to help with any problems especially the guy who printed off our boarding passes for our flight back home. The tangerine color sets this property apart on the outside but the it's the cool ,clean, just hip enough interior spaces that really let you know you are in a special hotel. A cool, simple, well tended urban oasis.

The Tangerine was better than expected. I choose it because the photos seemed like the rooms had cool decor, there were good reviews, and parking was free. My friend and I were very pleased. We had tickets to the Ellen D show and it was right around the corner. We had dinner at Prizzi's (yum) across the street, and lunch next door at a Mex restaurant. […] There are many choice of dining - from Thai to smoothies. I can't say enough about the location and safety of it. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. I would definately stay there again. very helpfull people in the reseption, trendy rooms with good aircondition. very good value with the free wireless internett and free parking. they also had free coffe, cacao an tee++ in the reseption. not the best neighborhood. but great for one night stay!

I really enjoyed staying at the Tangerine. Great location. Close to many amenities, yet feels like it is in quieter area. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. The restaurant across the street is superb for breakfast or lunch. Our son lives within a few miles. The Tangerine will be our home away from home when we visit.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The decor was very hip and modern and the location prime. We stayed here as a one night stop near Hollywood. Comfy bed with down blankets. Mini Fridge which is always a must for a chilled nightcap. The pool area is cool to lounge around. There is a grocery store right down the street and microwave in the lobby which we […] made use of after a clubbing, making a couple of lean pockets. Big Boy Burger 1 block away and not packed at all if you are looking to visit the famous landmark. Parking is very limited but I was told if staying on the weekend then street parking is not cited but during the week you may have to search for one in the lot gets full. The neighborhood is very clean and quiet to say the least for a summer weekend in Burbank. We will no doubt stay here again on a future SoCal trip. One thing that COULD bother some is that there is not any carpet in the rooms. For us it was no prob after spending the day at the beach it was easy to sweep any sand that came back with us right out of the door. It is basically a cement floor but very clean. Devamı

Lovely hotel/ motel - comfortable bedding, clean room and extrodinary amount of cable tv channels. It an USD$11 cab ride from universal studios Plenty of restaurants close by. Ideally you should rent a car if you are staying a couple of days for ease of seeing all of the LA sights
