Very nice hotel! Very close to major historical places, nice and secure area, friendly staff. The room was clean, the bathroom spacious, every day being cleaned. My partner and I recently stayed at the Bucoleon Palace Hotel for a week. The room and bathroom were on the small side, but was very comfortable nonetheless. Room had a lovely view of Sultanahmet and surrounding neighborhood. Hotel and room were always very clean and well maintained, and breakfast was good--served on the top floor terrace. Conveniently […] located also in Sultanahment, just a 7 minute walk to Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque. Staff were also very friendly and helpful when needed. We truly enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's very convenient to all the historical locations and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing about the hotel is that the room are a little tiny but it should not be a problem if you are not going to spend lot of time at the hotel....Excellent hotel!

This hotel was a great find. The hotel is in excellent condition and looks very cute nestled in a local area. The terrace has an amazing view of the Maramara Sea, and is one of the best I saw of all hotels in Istanbul. The staff was very good, limited English speaking, but nothing I would not expect for being a locally owned hotel. They went above […] and beyond our exceptions, managing cabs and reservations for us. Finally the price is great! I recommend this hotel to anyone, it is a nice, local hotel that is a only a 10 minute walk from the major sites. Hotel Bucoleon Palace: - Unsere Erfahrungen beruhen auf einem Aufenthalt Ende März 2012. - Lage für die Erkundung Istanbuls hundertprozentig, überaus zentral geiegen, unterhalb der Blauen Moschee. - Nettes Viertel, ein bisschen Aufbruchstimmung, viele neue kleine Hotels. - Vom Frühstücksraum und den größeren Zimmern Blick aufs Marmarameer, allerdings […] dann auch Lärm von vierspuriger Straße und Eisenbahnstrecke. - Die Gasse vor dem Hotel ist ruhig (kaum Verkehr). - Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Zimmer 403 (nach vorne zur Gasse): - Zimmergröße 2,70m x 3,30m = 8,9qm - Schrank nicht öffenbar und benutzbar, weil das Bett davor steht. - Tresor nicht benutzbar, "Battery low". - keine Garderobenhaken oder sonstige Möglichkeit eine Jacke aufzuhängen. - Betten 2 Stück 90 x 200 rutschen auseinander. Matratzen liegen lose auf den Bettgestellen und rutschen auch auseinander. - Keine zusätzlichen Steckdosen zum Aufladen von Handy oder Laptop. Vorhandene Steckdosen sind mit Nachttischlampen belegt, schalten sich ab, wenn man das Zimmer verlässt. Somit Schwierigkeiten beim Aufladen von Handy oder Kamera. - Minibar: Preis für 0,5l Bier (Efes) 5 Euro (Kempinski-Niveau) - Ausschließlich türkische Sat-TV, keine internationalen Programme. - Links vom Fenster Schimmel hinter dem Vorhang. - Schallschutz zum Nachbarzimmer nicht vorhanden. Man hört jedes Wort. Schallschutz zum Flur wegen massefreier und ungefälzter Tür. Bad: - Dusche klein (80 x 80, Ecke abgerundet) mit alten z.t. nicht mehr benötigten Armaturen (Duschkopf, aus dem kein Wasser kommt). - Dusche oder Duschabtrennung extrem undicht, regelmäßig Überschwemmung. - Schimmelige Silikonfugen in der Dusche. - Das Schlimmste: Unzureichende Menge an warmen Wasser im Hotel vorhanden, meist war die Dusche kalt. K a l t ! - Fön hat Lagerschaden und macht laute Geräusche. - Beim Bezahlen standen nur vier Nächte auf der Rechnung, die fünfte Nacht wurde auf meinem Rechnungsexemplar handschriftlich ergänzt.
