Maine Stay Inn & Cottages - Kennebunkport

Would highly recommend to anyone. Perfect location to enjoy Kennebunkport. Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to assure a nice stay.

The Maine Stay Inn & Cottages is a lovely B&B in a great setting, very handy to everything that Kennebunkport has to offer. Our cottage was fantastic, the bed was luxurious and comfortable and the small kitchenette in our cottage was very useful. However two things marred our stay. One was when we asked if our 11 year old niece (who lives locally) could […] stay a night with our 9 year old daughter (her cousin) and we were told there would be a $35 charge for an additional person - an amount that we found astonishing given that we did not expect they would give her breakfast or that any additional service or linen would be required, but they would not budge on the $35 charge. Given what we were paying for the cottage, this just seemed miserly and mean. She was just curious about the hotel and loved the novelty of a 'sleepover' in our room. We could have just done it quietly, without asking permission, and the owners would never have known the difference. The second event that marred our stay was the freezing cold shower that I had to have one morning because, apparently, the people in the cabin next door had used up all the hot water! Really?? For people running such a serious business that they insist on charging $35 for a child to sleep over for one night, I would expect they would have a water heating system that would guarantee there was always enough hot water for all guests, no matter how long a shower the neighbours might have taken! Stayed in Annexe The Hideway Inn just accross the road. Absolutely gorgeous. Super room very atmospheric. Owner is well known chef and food excellent. Great breakfasts. Great location, easy to walk into Camden

Beautiful Inn, fullof character. Comfortable room and excellent home made breakfast. Hosts made us very welcome. I would recommend without hesitation
