The beach club is always clean and convenient....away from the "bustle" of the downtown area

I went for one night in the off season to teach a class at the USCG base. It is very convenient to the base, and to the rest of Cape May area. There was only one other car in the parking lot besides mine, but the guests were staying in the room above mine and I could hear their footsteps and voices. Good facilities. Staff very helpful. Wi-fi could be a wee bit quicker.

This was a FANTASTIC stay !!! It was affordable, clean, quiet and the staff were FANTASTIC !!!! We LOVED it and we even stayed an extra night !!! I shall return !!! Thank you..xx Sinéad & Brook from Ireland.

Motel was clean and the bathroom was huge. The bed was nice and firm and the room was always made before we got back from being out. There was a half-sized fridge in the room (larger than the 1/4 units most hotel/motels have), as well as utensils and glasses for our use. Unfortunately, we did not stay long enough to really use them. And there was a […] kitchen sink. Next time we stay, we'll make sure to bring a hot plate as there is no breakfast available. Roughly 10 blocks from downtown, it would have been a nice walk in the summer. As it was, we drove. If you're looking for a nice, reasonably priced place to bring the family, this is what you're looking for. If you want all the ambiance of being close to all the action at all times, better look elsewhere (and be prepared to spend 2-4 times as much). Devamı

This hotel was perfect for the night I spent in Cape May for my son's graduation from Coast Guard Basic Training! It is just blocks from the beach, & in a quiet neighborhood. Spent enjoyable & affordable weekend in Cape May. Hotel was clean, updated, and enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave for a quick breakfast. Location was great. No need to drive the car. Walking distance to all the holiday happenings.

Very clean and comfortable motel. The rooms are modern and the beds comfy. The front desk is manned up to a certain point and then you are on your own until the staff comes back to work in the morning - we were short a towel and didn't realize it until after the staff went home. Stayed a couple of days when our nephew finished up his Coast Guard basic training. Struck us as a cool little place that was clean and comfortable. Very nice room amenities and a good number of channel selections on the cable TV package (a lot of places merely have a few basic channels). 5 blocks to beach and 10 blocks to Cape May' s downtown shopping/restaurants and its harbor area. Room was spacious, well equipped and clean. During last week in October, things were very quiet.

It was the off season so many places were closed. the rate was fantastic, especially since it had a kitchen although I wa shocked to see that there were no "cookin" facilities other than the microwave. the wineglasses, 'tho nice to have rather than plastc were dirty and I had to wash them before we could use them. I was a little skeptical going to a place I had never stayed at before. Our stay was very pleased. It is not a five star hotel but has everything you would need. Clean, comfortable and a 10 minutes walk to all the action. Didn't use the car the whole time we were there.

Motel was in a convenient location, far enough away from the beach not to be bothered, but close enough to walk there within a few minutes. It's located in a residential area which made it quiet, exactly what we were looking for. The only negative was the trash had not been taken out before we checked in. This hotel was a gem, very clean, a little distance to the beach, but walkable or driveable for metered parking at $1 per hour. Not bad. We booked it literally the day before we arrived there, upgraded to a second floor room but spacious and suite like. The staff was helpful whenever needed. I would recommend this hotel highly. Very nice.....

Staff was friendly and overall the building was clean and well kept but the carpeting in my room was filthy with large stains on it.

We decided only a few weeks prior to our trip to go to Cape May. I was concerned that we would not be able to find a decent room that wasn't a lot of money since our vacation was the end of July and at the peak of the high season. I was able to book one of the last 2 rooms at the Madison Avenue Beach Motel. I didn't have high expectations, but was very […] pleasantly surprised to find that the motel must have recently been renovated. Our room, although not the largest we've ever stayed in, was comfortable with a queen bed, futon, and small kitchenette with granite countertops. It had new patio furniture outside our room. I think that some people might find the location to be a bit out of the way, but we did not mind walking the 4 blocks to the beach (5 minutes) or the 6 blocks to the shopping district on Washington St. (less than 10 minutes). The plus side to the location was that it was in a quiet neighborhood and next to a community park. I would recommend this motel as a good value for those who don't mind a little walking. Devamı

The Madison Avenue Beach Club Motel was perfect for us. We visited in July 2011 for four days. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our studio room (2 queen beds) had a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishes, silverware and sink. This allowed us to have breakfast in with ease. Since it was so […] very hot while we were there, we usually rode the trolley that is free one-way and $1 the other way or we drove to the beach and fed the meters ($1/hr, quarters only). The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The hotel was full while we were there but we couldn't hear anyone through our walls. We enjoyed sitting in the wicker chairs on the balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The gas grill and tables were frequently used by the other guests and a great option for meals. Very nice place. Can walk to beach, and easy to other places. Nice pool with a jacuzzi.

We were unable to stay the 4th night because of death in family. We did ask to come back to use the one night not used. We were hoping to hear from you.

It was a last minute trip and we had read mixed reviews about this hotel. We loved it! Room was all renoved. Beds were confortable. Close to the beach and town with bicycles and the kids enjoyed to pool. plan to come again.

Madison Ave Beach Motel first struck me as "really cute" when we drove up - nothing gaudy or cheesy, everything was clean, the room was larger than expected for a 2-person room, the pool was in great shape, and the atmosphere around the place was very friendly, trusting, and fun. Excellent stay at a very nice, clean hotel in Cape May. While not as extravgant as other hotels, it was just right the mix of comfort and practical. The pool and hot tub were great and the location to the beach and Washington Street mall were perfect. Will be back again!

I was truly impressed with this place; they keep it very clean, it is within walking distance from the beach and the mall with cute little shops, and the surrounding vicinity has lots of the Victorian homes for which Cape May is famous. Usually have reservations about staying at small hotels after a few horrible experiences, but after contacting a number of inns who had no vacancy decided to give Madison Avenue Beach Motel a try after reading reviews from other sites. The room we stayed in was super clean! Everything was spotless: even checked to see if there was mold in the grout […] lines of the shower, if the curtains smelled of smoke, dirt build up on light switches, or dust in the corners of the room but passed the test. Yes, I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to this! The hotel backed up against a residential neighborhood so it was very quiet, but still within walking distance of the beach and shopping. Nice room: beds were comfortable, decent size bathroom (no tub, but midsize stand up shower), and the little kitchenette was great for storing drinks and snacks. Was the first hotel that I’ve stayed in that had as many television stations as I have at home. The only complaint that I had was not being able to sit outside on the balcony at night since the couple next door to us were chainsmokers and spend the entire time there. Each time we left our room we had to hold our breath and quickly walk by them. Yes, the hotel actually had cigarette trays sitting on the tables outside of the rooms. Devamı

While an ideal location, about 15 minute walk from the beach, you may want to look for a better value elsewhere. There seems to be so many lovely places in Cape May. However, Madison is fine if you're not particular or on a budget. It took the front desk three (3) tries to get me into a room. I reserved an upgraded room and was put into a regular […] room. The room smelled so musty, I insisted on the right room. I was given keys for an upgrade room. The keys didn't work. Finally, I was able to get into the third room after 45 minutes. The room are a bit stale and don't have any view at all. The staff was helpful and well intention. The weekend staff was so helpful at 7:00am on Saturday morning when my car broke down. They help e find a service station nearby that could take my car. I was able to make my 9:00am meeting. Just 2 stars this time with potential and could work in some circumstances. Devamı

The room and kitchenette were nice, the bathroom large. The downside was a ratty couch that needs to be replaced and a wall A/C that spewed dust or dirt. Fortunately we didn't need the A/C very much. Room was otherwise clean and staff were pleasant.

If you want to be in the middle of the action, this is not your motel. But, if you want to sleep at night, this is the place. Quiet residential neighborhood, near the city park; hotel staff were helpful and friendle. Room was a little on the small side but well stocked and comfortable. We would definitely return.

nice place. well worth the money

Passing through Cape May overnight, wanted to be close to town and birding spots. This hotel was well located for both, in a quiet neighborhood. Room is small, but adequate for me as a single traveler. Wireless access didn't work during the day but was fine at night. Don't know why. I would stay again depending on rates.

This is a wonderful little motel. Within blocks of shopping and the beach but just far enough away for a quiet and peaceful stay. Nice sized rooms with a kitchenette and flat screen. The bathrooms are huge, no tub but an oversized shower. Friendly and attentive staff. They are even dog friendly! There is also a beautiful pool and hot tub. A place to […] grill and outdoor seating. We stayed at the Madison Ave Beach Club earlier this month and found the room comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. We especially liked the convenience of a small kitchenette with corelle dishware. We are a retired couple and enjoyed the room on the first floor. The price of the room was inexpensive and we noted that during the summer season, […] the prices seemed in line also. We would definitely plan to return for future outings in Cape May. The location is away from the beach and all the activity--quiet and peaceful. This might be a drawback for those who want convience to the beach and shopping, however, we were only minutes away by car. I hope that this review is helpful for future vactioners. Devamı

We stayed for two nights over Easter weekend and really enjoyed it. It was our first visit to Cape May and we found the location convenient for both the beach and town. It is a 10 minute walk to each. A great park near by the hotel. Price was good and loved having the kitchenette. Overall good experience. We would recommend and will go back again.

The hotel was very clean and cozy. Close to all cape may attractions. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a clean inexpensive place to stay.

If you want something that is small and freindly this is a place for you. Staff was wonderful, room was clean. If I go back to Cape May NJ I will defiently stay here again.
