Barrington Lodge - Crawley

the hotel was in the middle of a dodgy estate. Beautiful hotel and brilliant inside but houses all around. even the taxi driver though he had taken a wrong turn.

When looking for the hotel I thought I was lost and had stumbled across a council estate instead but around the corner there was the hotel a lovely looking building. On entering the hotel I was greeted by a very happy and polite lady who even persuaded me to have breakfast that I I felt I didn't want in the morning. I got to my room which was a little […] small but that is what I paid for so not a problem, I was impressed at first but then I started noticing small things like the lime scale around the taps and plug holes, I then ran my finger along the wardrobe which was disgusting. It was late so I got into bed, after 10 mins I felt very warm, no problem I will turn the heating down unfortunately the heater didn't seem to have a way of turning down. So I opened the window and slep on the covers, by 2am I was still awake listening to the noise on the estate, drunks and kids. Finally got to sleep. Went down for my full English at about half 9, I was greeted by a man who didn't really look like he worked ther or he had been out the night before. He went to get my breakfast. I could not hear or smell anything cooking but could see the kitchen. Then I heard the ping of the microwave, I ate my breakfast but did feel like it had been cooked previously and heated up. I then went to check out which is when I saw what I believe was the cleaner and it then came to light that she was probably about 80 and about 5 foot tall which explains the cleaning being a it poor. I did enjoy my stay and loved the outside look of the hotel but the quality of cleaning and maintainance inside was poor and the breakfast maybe should be fresh. I would stay again or recommend others to stay due to the room price but would avoid the breakfast and maybe if you suffer from astma it wouldn't be to good for you. Devamı

We had originally booked for two nights but at the last minute had to cancel one of them. The manager on reception was very kind and helpful and we were able to cancel with no fees paid.

Strange hotel - in an odd location in the middle of a housing estate. Not as convenient for gatwick as I thought it would be. Friendly service and not bad really for the price. Wouldn't use it again.

The room was nice but staff was very unfriendly and unhelpfull. They never even looked up when we passed the reception. We got no help with conecting internet. We complained about the lukewarm water in the bath and they told us it was perfectly hot. We felt they didn´t even tryed to give good service.

A very cheap rate and there the positives end! A unique experience in that I could touch all four walls of my room at once. The room was cleanish but tatty. The bathroom light did not work, the bed was of a size more normally found on submarines and every single sound from the room next door came booming through the plasterboard wall. The shower worked […] well, a point obviously not lost on the various species of wildlife that needed evicting before use. Not the place for arachnaphobes. It is in the middle of a housing estate and a previous reviewer posted the local pub as being "cracking". More "crack house". There are few other options but a walk onto the "scenic" by pass gets a fast bus into Crawley. Well, Crawley is Crawley but there are a couple of half decent pubs in the old High Street and if kebabs are your thing, you're sorted otherwise it is a pub meal. The Brewery Shades is not bad. In short, a mega low budget hotel that puts a roof over your head at a very low price. Not recommended for your honeymoon! Devamı

Barrington Lodge is hard to find without sat nav as it's tucked down a number of small roads. I had a map but still drove around for ages. Once you get there, the staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and overall it was good for the price.

Gelegen am Ende einer Sackgasse ist dieses Hotel für einen entspannten Zwischenstopp mit ruhigem Schlaf gut geeignet.

Hotellet ble benyttet i en uke, og med ukeskort for tog/tube/bus ble dette et rimelig og praktisk alternativ for "ekskursjoner" i Stor-London. Ligger midt i et boligfelt, så det er meget fredelig. Lokal Pub ca 40-50m fra - er også praktisk, og var heller intet støyproblem.

Schönes altes Gebäude, schönes großes Zimmer, leckeres Frühstück gegen geringen Aufpreis. Perfekt zur Durchreise oder wenn man zum Flughafen muss - ansonsten zu weit außerhalb von Sehenswürdigkeiten etc.

Barrington lodge är ett ställe som alla bör besöka. Det ligger i ett lugnt bostadsområde och det är enkelt att beställa taxi för att ta sig varsomhelst för bra och låga priser. Frukosten är helt okej, dock aningen dyr. Men om man ser till allt annat så är det värt det! Servicen på hotellet är utmärkt! Alla var jättetrevliga och tillmötesgående. Rummen […] har en mysig blandning mellan lite äldre och modernt, samtidigt som de är fräscha. För mig är det väldigt viktigt att badrummet är fräscht och hotellet fick högsta betyg på det! Devamı
