Super 8 Brooklyn / Park Slope Hotel - Brooklyn

there are not many low cost options in brooklyn, this hotel is one of the easier to find and cleanest. $20 for parkign is a bit steep but with a bit of searching on-street parking is easily found. Check the alarm clock - ours was set for 6am! we should have checked but we've never had that experience before,

If needed again, i'd stay there.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel for the price, nice ameneties (we had a fridge, hair dryer, closet, iron, and the breakfast was awesome). Typical size for a NY area hotel (small) but I was not bothered. Rooms are small but comfortable. Great location, helpful staff. Perfect place to stay on the cheap.

It's one avenue away to truly be called the Slope, and the hike to Grand Army Plaza is a little too far, but you're close to the R train at Union Street, and that'll hook up with where you want to be in no time. Very clean room and very friendly and helpful staff

I booked with super 8 for the price and convenience of the location. I dont smoke, so i never book a smoking room, and would never stay in a smoking room because it will affect my allergies. At check-in I was given a card key for room c14,which means cellar and told its the only room available . Now, I was only staying overnight so the cellar wasn't […] the problem. As i got off the elevator, I smelled a hint of cigarette smoke, I thought maybe the floor above was a smoking floor or someone who smokes was recently in the area. When I got to C14, the smell of smoke was stronger and there was an ashtray on the side table. I immediately called the front desk and asked "did you really give me a smoking room?", My sinuses were already irritated at this point and told her I need another room and just like that she found a room out of thin air. I dont appreciate being handed off this smoke infested room because I got deal, instead of being given what I payed for in the first place. Never settle when it comes to your comfort and your health. My second room was 103 which was small, had a fridge, king size bed, flat screen TV and was smoke free. The second was small and comfortable and I slept well. Devamı

Have stayed here many times ... always clean, comfortable and convenient. Close to all the shops, restaurants and coffee spots. We drove to NYC and had an easy time finding the hotel ... there is a small parking lot for an extra fee. Will stay again.

I am a constant traveler, going to many countries and staying in many hotels around the world as part of my job. I was very very happy with my stay here. I have nomproblems recommending it.

I recently stayed in Super 8... not super impressed. The room was very small. The bed occupied 80% of the space. It was good enough for a 2 night stay with my husband (If I was staying longer in NY, I would look elsewhere). It was close to everything. You had to give the hotel a Jackson to park in their limited parking. (6 or 7 spots if I recall). I […] didn't feel unsafe in this hotel, the neighborhood was shabby, but I felt safe. I really liked the free wireless internet and free breakfast. The AC fan was loud. I recommend for couples on a budget only, and for short stays. Not for familes! This hotel is superb, couldn't believe the price and the calibre of hotel.....I was really pleased...It was convenient for me since it was within walking distance of major shopping areas.....I loved it..Would definitely be staying many times at the Super 8 Hotel...

very convenient to the bell house, where we were attending a show, and the bars and restaurants on smith st. in carroll gardens. also not far from atlantic ave. good value for the price

cool stay, but my date was more my focus

I was very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room, much better than many others in the Super 8 brand. The room is well lit, complete with overhead dim-able lighting. I had no problem with parking, was able to park within 25 feet of the front door on the street in front of the property. This Super 8 Hotel is a gem of a place to stay. It looked newly and stylishly renovated and decorated. The beds were super comfortable. There was a refrigerator in room and a coffee/yea maker. Before I check in, the evening Super 8 desk clerk hit me with a hidden parking charge of $20 that I was not aware. She asked me either to place it on the credit card or pay by cash. I gave the $20 to avoid placing in the credit card. Moreover, this Super 8 hotel charges $2 for ten minutes to use the hotel lobby computer. In the past, neither the Quality […] Inn Hotel at Atlantic Avenue nor the Best Western Gregory Hotel on 4th Avenue charges their guests for this. And these hotels are in Brooklyn. Very close to my daughter's condo, very convenient to travel back and forth. Great customer service, we asked for extra coffee and ashtrays and they were so quick to respond. Bed was super comfortable, room was cleaned spotless and plenty of hot water. Great experience, will stay there again in the future.

The Super 8 in Park Slope (Brooklyn) is a new hotel, everything looks new and the beds are comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, we had bagels and made our own waffles every morning (just love that wafflemaker). The breakfast room also had 4 cereals, bread, juices, yougurt and apples. Our room was on the first […] floor, close to the reception and next to the breakfast room, a bit noicy and busy from all the guest just outside our door. Get a room on the second floor, stay away from the smoker rooms downstairs. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but the subway is close by (just around the corner, Union Street), and takes you to Manhattan in quickly. You also find shops and resrurants on Union Street. We walked to Carrol Park, in Carrol Gardens, and found 2 streets filled with cafes, shops and bars (Smith Street and Court Street). If you want to see the New York skyline, (from Brooklyn Heights-area) just take the subway to Borough Hall station and walk down the wonderful Mantague Street, filled with restaurants, shops and tasty bakeries. This smal hotel is not fancy, but fairly priced. The place is spotless, one block from a subway station. I may go back in a couple of months.

A very nice clean place and very affordable.

I stayed at the Super 8 hotel in Brooklyn for 4 nights in November and was lucky enough to see the New York marathon pass by a block away from the hotel. This hotel is only one block away from the subway and gets you to Times Square in about 40 minutes. The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. The only down side was the breakfast room. It was […] tiny with only about 12 chairs and was all self service with awful paper plates and plastic cutlery and some inedible concoction that was supposed to resemble butter. Rooms pretty small, breakfast area cramped. Breakfast menu typical, waffle machine did not work properly. I would check Holiday Inn Express around the corner before going here again.

The hotel was very nice and the neighboor is not as worse as we feared. Very polite staff og clean rooms that are not worn down. Only critique is, that there hardly is room to eat breakfast. The room is very small and so are the tables. It takes 40 minutes with the metro to get to Times Square.

Stayed at the motel for 4 nights 29-02. nov. 2011. As a couple on a budget in New York the Super 8 Brooklyn had fair rates. Choose it for - - fair rates - a small but nice clean room - own bathroom with shower - breakfast, self serving better than average The stay: In all we were very happy with our stay! We chose the place comparing price/ratings […] for cleanliness, service etc. compared to the Manhatten / downtown based hotels and because we wanted our own bathroom/shower. Breakfast and facilities: The breakfast room is relatively small (6-8 people max). So our advise is to be an early bird - breakfast starts at 7 and stops at 10 pm. Found the breakfast to be better (with healthier options) than the "normal" continental serve, with a variety of bread and cereals, some fruit and yoghurt, waffles and coffee/tee with 'to go' cups. A good way to start every day! Transportation: Metro is just on the opposite side of the block 3-5 minutes away. Restaurants and bars: There seem to be both nice restaurants and bars nearby, but we didn't go. Sights: - Nice artistic housepaintings around the area. - To the South (SSW) in about 30-45 min. of walking there is a large cemetery (Google search Green-wood cemetery). It has the highest viewpoint in Brooklyn, but go there to see the entrance, the lakes and the old family tombs. - To the South-East in about 20-30 min. of walking you find Prospect park, Zoo and Brooklyn Botanical Garden, but we didn't go to this area. - Brooklyn Bridge! Take the Metro to get close or walk about 60-90 Minutes from Super 8 to stand on the other side in Manhatten. - There's probably so much more to see and experience in Brooklyn..... Safety: We felt safe around the area. Key words: 'Fair rates', 'Clean' and 'no worry stay'. Remember to tip! We only asked to have our room cleaned one time ('Sleep is Super!') but the hotel and our room was very clean and everybody from the staff seemed to do a lot to keep everything the way you'd want things to be. We found the hotel quite convinent and easy to find. The bed room is a bit small for 2 beds in it. But overall it is sufficient if you are not spending a lot of time other than sleeping. We rather save for spending on something else, such as theatre ticket. The downside is you have to pay for the parking. This hotel met every need we had..the front desk staff were very helpful to us..the breakfast was perfect, just a tight room but the quality of the food was superb. The room was small but we didn't lack for anything it had all we needed..thanks super 8!

I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again, although it was alright. My main disappointment was the "free parking".. the only free parking was on the street if you could find a spot, otherwise to park at the hotel's parking lot was $20 a night. When I called to reserve a room, the man on the phone was friendly, but said parking was free.. it wasn't. […] If I knew it was actually $20, I probably would have stayed elsewhere. Other than that, the staff was really friendly, but didn't know where the nearest cvs or walgreens was (thank goodness for my smartphone). The room was small, but to be expected for nyc. The room was clean, nice shower, bedding was decent.. nothing spectacular. The breakfast was nice, and had a good assortment of cereal, yogurt, waffles, bread, bagels, juice. I normally don't write review, but I felt the need to do so regarding this hotel. The hotel was exceptionally clean, staff was very friendly and informed. The room was small but adequate. The only things missing from the room were a microwave and safe. We checked out at 10 am and our flight wasn't until 8pm, the staff held our luggage until later that […] day even though we were no longer "guests" at the hotel. I stayed 2 nights for business in Manhattan. The rooms were clean and comfy. A bit small, but to be expected. The rates were much less than in Manhattan, and the morning commute was easy to the Battery Tunnel. Parking is cramped and sparse. Maybe 8 spaces, but there is on street parking on President Ave. 5th Ave is 2 blocks away, which has a wealth […] of restaurants and pubs, and also the subway. Neighborhood is dumpy but seemed safe. No frills, but I felt safe and it was clean. Be warned. No coffee until the breakfast opens at 7AM. I was out by 6AM both days withhout my caffeine. I never thought much of the Super 8 name, but this is the first time I stayed at one and I was very impressed. The room was in great condition and the staff was very friendly. It was clean and well services and the location was great if you are looking to be in Brooklyn. 1 block from the nearest metro with bars and restaurants of all kinds nearby.
