Hyatt Escala Lodge at Park City - Park City

We were celebrating our 10th anniversary, and while I don't expect anyone to know that, in past experiences (with other resorts) the hotel concierge has always asked if we were celebrating anything with them. The hotel seemed quite slow, and a little disorganized, maybe due to the offseason. I was expecting a room with a larger tub, especially since […] we booked the "amour package". You would think that package would be geared towards making the stay as romantic as possible. Also, it was really unclear how the breakfast worked, as far as how to order. The in house restaurant was closed, so the only option was to order room service. That was fine, and the breakfast was actually delicious. But, we ended up with a charge from the hotel, outside of the package that I had already paid for (which was supposed to include the cost of breakfast). I was able to get that resolved, but still, it was annoying. We went to Park City to just stay in our room and relax. However, the TV was sort of difficult to use, and did not have movies to rent, like at a traditional hotel line. It also had black tape over the DVD player, so that you couldn't play your own DVDs. We have stayed at a 5 star resort, in Deer Valley, and got a much better rate, for a large suite, than we did at the Hyatt. We should have just gone back to that resort. Devamı

The room was very clean and the amenities were excellent. The large circular hot tub was like I have never seen. During April-May the hotel is nearly vacant as it was off season (mud-season was the term used). Sometimes I wondered if I would see a kid from the Shining riding a tricycle down the halls - yes, it was that empty. The restaurant was closed […] but that was no problem since we wanted to eat in Park City anyway. The only odd thing was that at the end of our stay we were charged a "resort fee" which we were not aware of. The fee was not much, roughly two movie tickets, but was a little surprised by such a thing when I have never been charged for one before. Devamı

Situated right on the base of The Canyons, the Hyatt was a great location. The staff was super-nice and helpful and we were really pleased to be upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely stunning.

Wow, amazing time we had at Hayatt Escalla. We stayed in a 2Br Suite and it was nice like staying in your home with full kitchen, nice fireplaces and view. Service at the hotel was superior, front desk was very nice and helpful. Anytime we called for room service or any needs they were there in 5 minutes. Great location in the Canyons Ski Resort with […] close location to ski lifts. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the heated outdoor large spa and pool area each day after skiing. Convinient shuttles to take you into town on Main Street in Park City which is close by. Had dinner at the Hayatt's new dining room for my wifes birthday and the grilled trout was excellent, the fresh baked bread was great. Make sure to try the Smores Desert it is to die for. Read about it on Trip Advisor and must say it's a must if you dine at this resturant. Snow conditions were good even with the low snowfall, but snow machines were keeping the runs nice and well maintained. Advise when flying in to Salt Lake book a SUV shuttle service to take you to your hotel and pick you up. You don't need to rent a car. On your way up to the resort ask your deriver to stop at the local grocery store to buy all the food and drinks for you stay to have in your in room kitchen. This trip was the best ski trip we have ever had and cant wait to go back. Planning to go back again to the Hayatt before the end of ski season. You won't be dissapointed. Devamı

The staff at The Hyatt in Park City was amazing even before we arrived..I proposed to My girlfriend and Sabrina was more than helpful in making sure the night was amazing,,She helped with florists setting up the room for our return..The staff at the front desk was incredible as well..I really hate I didn't get names because I would Love to give them […] the proper acknowledgement as well..Room was Perfect the entire staff at the Hotel was even better than that..I will never stay anywhere else when I return back to Utah..Thanks Again! Ideally positioned for skiing. Beautiful lodge style accomadation close to chair lifts. Staff are young and could not be better. Nothing is a problem. Food was excellent.

This is a very nice place to stay & even better when they actually get it done. The lobby wasn't finished so we walked around in the cold looking for the temporary lobby entrance. Then we got lost looking for our room & they only way we found it was walking through construction. When we did find our room it was fantastic & had a great view of the ski […] slope! Early the next morning the construction started up & was noisy. It was supposed to be a romantic get away for my wife & I & it was more of an adventure get away instead. Until they get the construction done they really shouldn't charge what the other primo resorts in Park City are charging. Devamı

The room was very nice and exceeded our expectations but the service was not good and the pool was much smaller than the photo depicts. There was also some construction going on in our buildings which was a little annoying but overall we were very happy and had a nice romantic weekend.

Everything was wonderful except for the construction crews that began drilling at 7:30 AM the first morning we were there. Otherwise, the hotel was perfect!

Beautiful new hotel. Downside, very, very dark rooms, poor lighting making it difficult to read in bed (only one 40 watt bulb and only one nightstand). Couldn't use the closet as it was too dark to see clothing. Couldn't use safe deposit box for same reason. View from room looked like construction site (it was!). After they fix the lighting situation […] and clean up the site, it is a great property, with a lot of potential. Well located for our needs and promises to be a terrific winter spot. Very nicely decorated, nice furniture and nice ammenities. Good hiking in the area, ski lifts really close by and walking distance from a great organic restaurant. We booked this room for a quick weekend trip for the kids before school started. I was amazed at what a great room we scored for such a low price! It had a full kitchen with sub zero fridge, wolf ovens, washer and dryer, granite counters, a huge dining room, fireplaces, enormous tvs, jetted tub .. the works! The kids loved the pool and hot tub. I was […] thankful that everything was so clean and well appointed. The staff was incredibly courteous (bringing us complimentary popsicles at the pool, holding out umbrellas when it rained, bringing up ice to our room when we ran out, etc.). There were areas of the hotel that were still under construction, but it didn't bother us at all. My only minor complaint was that I wished they had an ice machine. We stayed in the Guest King bed room for one night. We've never been to Park City so I had no idea where to go. I found this hotel and hoped it would be nice. We were VERY pleased with the hotel. Hyatt Escala is a new, well appointed, and extremely comfortable hotel. Staff are extremely polite and helpful. They do charge a $20/day resort fee that is not in the base rate for parking, wireless, use of pool and work out facilities. Well worth it. This is a nice place.

Must be OK if you are there in Winter but the area generally is only for skiing Like staying in a construction zone Room adequate but dark and hotel undergoing remodel was like ghost town I t should have been less than half the price One night was all i could take!

We got a great summer rate on a King suite. I wasn't sure what to expect, I thought it would be a modest room with a couch bed, kitchenette and separate bedroom. Boy was I in for a treat. The room was incredible! The kitchen was a full-size kitchen complete with granite counter top, gas range and a huge refrigerator/freezer. The Living room was also […] very large with a gas fireplace and the master suite was heavenly with another fireplace and the most beautiful bathroom I've ever seen. There was ample room for our family of 4, however the couch bed (there were actually 2 couch beds) was not particularly comfortable. The hotel is still being rennovated. We stayed in the Wasatch building where they was a lot of construction stuff still going on. It was hard to find the actual check in guest services location at first. The rooms were beautiful and if you have children here are a few things you should know. We had 3 queen/king one bedroom suites, there was no extra […] bedding for the sofa beds and only one pillow extra per room. The sofa beds were horrible to sleep on, springs and bars were all you could feel. There was only one washcloth in the bathroom and two towels. With four people in each room we all had to request extra bedding or use our own pillows from the cars since we were all travelling with kids. The kitchens were nice but one again, no kitchen towels, no can openers of any sort so plan to eat out or bring your own or food that does not require one. The kitchens are beautiful and so is the decor, however there are no ice machines that we could find in the hotel, so you need to quickly check in and start the ice maker if you want ice. We had to call down to request ice which they brought up in a garbage bag. With children I think there are more child friendly properties around, but we would definitely come back to this one if we were without kids. Devamı

Hotel was new and luxurious. We were very comfortable for our getaway. Staff was awesome, friendly and very helpful with our every need.

We stayed two nights at this Hyatt. It is only two years old, so everything is still nice and new. There is a safe in the room big enough to put my 15 inch laptop, so that was nice. Our biggest complaint was the housekeeping management. We asked for a suitcase rack and a second bathrobe the first half hour we got to our room. Neither of then ever arrive! The hotel was a little hard to find. Once we got there it was beautiful. The check in area was very small and the hotel seemed to be pretty empty but we ended up with a ground floor room. I was kind of disappointed with that. The only other thing that bothered me was bell hop knocked on our door at 9 AM to see if we were ready to go and when we said […] no (this was our honeymoon night) he said, how much longer will you be? I've spent a lot of my life traveling around the world and staying in some of the better hotels that one can find. Fortunately this property was on par with the best hotels I've ever stayed in either here or abroad. We originally booked a studio for the weekend, which was very nice with a full bathroom, fireplace, king sized bed, and a small kitchenette. […] We were there our first night and were very happy with the price we paid for the quality of room we were in. When we woke up in the morning we were filling up the bathtub when we realized that there was only hot water coming out of the faucet. I tried to manipulate it to see if we could get cold water to come out (so that the bath wasn't scalding hot) and nothing I was doing helped. I went down to the front desk and explained our predicament. The front desk person was extremely responsive to our situation and offered to have Engineering come up and fix it or he would move us to another room. I figured moving to another room would be less intrusive to our weekend, so we opted with that choice. He located another room on our same floor and gave us a complementary upgrade to one of their suites. When we opened the door to the suite we were blown away by how beautiful and spacious it was. It had a beautiful full kitchen, family room, jetted tub and large shower in the bathroom, and a separate bedroom with a king sized bed. We had access to a balcony from both the bedroom and living room areas. We also had two flat panel televisions in the room. We couldn't have possibly had a better weekend at a better property. We enjoyed it so much that we're actually considering buying one of the condos to use as a second home in the near future. There are only a couple of small things that could be improved. First, there isn't a restaurant on the property yet, although there are plans for that to change before too much longer. We booked the hotel last minute and didn't know much about it. We were extremely surprised when we drove up and saw how beautiful the hotel was. More surprises inside. The room was immaculate and the furnishings were so comfortable. Fireplace in the room, with flat screen TV above. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous with the slate […] and tile. There are two very large hot tubs right by the pool with a Sauna inside the changing rooms. Location? It's nestled by the mountain at the Canyons resort and within walking distance to the chair lift. Loved the Escala! The only issues involve the fact that the property is not really designed to be a hotel. I preferred this, as most units are condos and you have a nice, relaxed feel from residents. Two big spas hold about 60 guests - seriously - and onsite gym, sauna, pool, direct-to-lift ski and snowboard access are IMPECCABLE. If you want to ski/snowboard […] Canyons - this is THE PLACE! Nice staff, great place. The only funky problems involved a shower curtain being too small for the shower, no onsite restaurant (but now they have a deli/snack shop) and a price tag still on the pictures... Booked the Hyatt Escala because it sounded nice and I wanted to try something a little closer to town, but ended up incredibly impressed, could be the nicest hotel stay I've ever had. The rooms are top notch with everything you could need in a hotel stay, the staff was friendly and helpful and the views are spectacular. I did knock off a couple of minor […] points for the fact that as of May 2011, the lodge complex is not done and, without all of the services open, the location can feel a little remote. Extremely minor, though, and the staff said the full service restaurant will be opening over the summer and, once the occupancy is higher, the provisions store will maintain regular hours. Even with that, it was just a quick drive to Park in order to get anything you need. Otherwise, you'll be very pleased you booked the Hyatt Escala, I can't wait to go back! Devamı

hotel is very hard to find... Valet did not know how to drive a Manual transmisson. valet also wrecked the front of my vehicle.. hotel did take care of 3/4 of damages

The hotel staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable. Nice decor and relaxing setting. kind of pricey, but it's definitely quality.

Absolutely incredible lodge. Rooms are furnished with all the finest. Bathroom was incredible with soaking tub & seperate stand up shower. Bed was so comfortable I think I feel asleep before my head hit the pillow. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would for sure stay there again anytime. Room rates were very reasonable for what you get.

Stayed there during Sundance Film Festival. Newer lodge among the complex of the Canyons. Loved the room but more lighting was needed. Very quiet so if you want more activity you might want to stay at Sundial which is on the complex. Restaurants and skiing activity was there which was in walking distance.

This hotel was everything and more we could have hoped for. It was classy, clean, comfortable, and we didn't want to leave. The location was amazing, right against the ski hill with views that were amazing, great trails to explore, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was polite. When i checked in the front desk clerk advised that i was one of two people staying in the entire hotel that nite as it was off season. Can you believe that out of the hundreds...maybe thousands...of rooms they have, they put me in room 401a and the other person w/ a dog in 401b?!?!? (mine w/ a view […] of the parking lot instead of a nice view of the valley. With all those rooms why wouldnt you give the guest the best room possible to increase their chances of returning?) I would have asked to move but they were very quiet, however, i still find that to be very bad customer service. Devamı

We were disappointed that being off season and a mostly empty hotel that they would put people in the room next too us, who were not very quiet. The hot tub was not hot enough to use. We loved this place and wished we could have stayed longer. The place was beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful. We loved everything about it. We will definetly come back again.
