Chequers Inn Hotel - Forest Row

Stayed in this hotel because all the b and b's were booked up for a conference in Forest Row. Room was a large room with new tv but that was about the only new thing in there ~ shabby and run down. Stained quilt cover. No where to boil a kettle other than on the floor. Bathroom cleaned daily. Breakfast was ok ~ the young girl worked really hard to meet […] the demand. Noisy on the saturday night with drunken couples in ~ didn't hear any intervention from management. Really wouldn't go back again. Devamı

We stayed at the Chequers Inn Hotel for 10 days and were very satisfied. Location was great - in the centre of town and an easy drive to East Grinstead, Chelwood Gate, Lewes, etc. The room was very large and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, we had a four-poster bed on the 1st floor by the rear parking. The complimentary breakfast was nice - […] we had a choice of cold cereal, juice, tea and coffee in addition to the full English Breakfast with toast. What more could you ask for? We ate lunch/supper there almost everyday and the food was very good - especially the pizzas and greek salad. Claudio, the proprietor, was extremely engaging and made us feel as if we were home. We were even able to use the hotel's washers & dryers during our stay which was very convenient. We would definitely return! Devamı

Hi, Nice location near the Ashdown Forest's best walks, friendly staff, let down by two duff stacked mattresses not combining to make a good bed. Room was not serviced for second night. Parking limited 20+ bedrooms 5 parking spaces ! For good food try the Roochi indian restaurant around the corner.

This hotel is dirty,dull, dismal, uncomfortable. The bed covers were stained and the cups in the room were not usable. They were discusting. The bar staff were more interested in discussing their sex lives and trying to pull the customers at the bar. The kitchen staff had long hair all hanging loose. As for the breakfast.... don't bother.... it was […] appaling! This is a summary of the hotel and not just an insult to them. It is an insult to people who pay good money and end up booking in a hovel like this. We were very dissapointed. Devamı

It was OK. I was expecting a Hotel with the name, however it is a Pub, but that isn't a problem as it was nice.

Stayed at the Chequers due to family bereavement close by. The staff and in particular the proprietor were supportive and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food very good and the Harveys Ale unsurpassable! Stay all over the Country due to job and have stayed in far worse hotels for double the price.
