The Connaught - Yeni Delhi

As compared to the charges amenities were less..ambiance of the room was ok

I had a one day transit in Delhi. I wanted to pick up gifts for friends so rather than staying at a airport hotel, I decided to stay at The Connaught. The hotel is centrally located and is ideal for a holiday or a business trip. It is within a walking distance of Connaught place and Janpath - two prominent shopping spots in Delhi. Airport to hotel in […] a prepaid taxi was Rs 250, which I thought was less than what it should have been so I offered the driver Rs 60 in addition. The return fare was Rs 420 in a radiocar. Staff were professional and friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Breakfast buffet offered a wide range of food and the freshly baked croissants were the best I ever had, including the ones in Paris. Rooms were clean. Basket of fruits, cookies and bottled water were complimentary and provision for making tea and coffee were available in the room. Will definitely stay again. The only thing I would have liked is easy access to wifi or ethernet. Devamı

I cannot recommend this hotel. It was unkempt and attracts guests due to its location being walking distance from Connaught Place. The room wassmall, dirty in places and certainly not comfortable. It felt like the rooms had not been upgraded for many, many years. In addition there was a lot of noise on the corridor from 6am onwards. I complained to […] management about the noise during the checkout procedure but no apology or explanation was offered. If staying in this area I would recommend hunting down a high class B&B. The hotel had an awful smell. Every time I walked into the hallway, I had to hold my breath. Sometimes the bathroom would have this really awful odour. It's rated as a 4 star but it really didn't come across that way. Breakfast buffet was limited in choices. Overall I didn't enjoy my stay at this hotel.

if you pay more than $70 a night you have been cheated. Built in the 60s and has mnot been renovated. Rooms tiny and our bed sheets were ripped and had yellow stain. Bathroom is so small that you cant open the door if you use the toilet. walking distance to shops but that is the only good thing. excelent hotel stay in cp area

The cleanliness of the hotel is very poor, the carpets are dirty, they should be replaced, they are old and dirty, so dirty that walking in the room without shoes get your feet dirty. The refrigerator in the room did not work properly. The hair dryer (220Volt) was hard wired. The furniture in the lobby is very dirty, need to be reupholstered.

first impressions good with no problems checking in. building a new stadium next door so approach to hotel has building materials at roadside. hotel itself clean and tidy. restaurant food good, didnt go for the buffet which they put on each evening we were there but the live music would not be to everyones taste, (classical indian music was the description).tours […] to tourist sites can be arranged at desk in lobby, open to haggling, or use taxis readily available outside. due flight timings to uk the check-out times are not very helpful and its half day rate if you extend it to 6pm, not that helpful if the flights dont leave til early hours of the morning. if you do use the tour desk in the lobby expect to have a visit to selected emporium in your tour. This hotel is not worth half the money they charge for the rooms. We checked in around midnight, we were supposedly upgraded and in the upgraded room the TV didnt work from the get go and the toilet wouldnt flush. We called in the service guys, they fussed with the TV for about half an hour and then gave up ( I mean I wasnt going to watch it at midnight […] anyways but we couldnt even check the NEWS the next morning), took another half an hour to get the toilet fixed. The WIFI didnt really work in the rooms and they still wanted to charge an extra "fee" to use it in the "computer room". (Something they waived during checkout, after i pointed out the "other" issues encountered during our brief one day stay) I guess the only saving grace was the breakfast which was tolerable. Неплохая гостиница по индийским меркам, но до европейских "4" далеко. Спа - неочень.

The hotel is clean and neat. Their services are good. Breakfast was really good. But only one thing is bad wireless connection, nor LAN cable in the room, but there is desk top in their office and could use internet connection.
