A beautiful hotel, historic building. Lovely bright room, with view of Vesuvius. Tranquility in an exhilariting city. Excellent breakfast . Welcoming touches...complimentary easter eggs on reception on Easter Sunday, very helpful staff.

The Caracciolo is a wonderful oasis of calm to retreat to after soaking-up Napoli's noice, vibrancy and colour. It is right on the edge of the Old Town and a 5-10 minute walk to the Piazza Garibaldi (where you can catch most buses from and the central trail station is.) The hotel is on Via Carbonara, and most the buildings are in a somewhat "authentic" […] condition along this road, and I could sense my newly-wed wife wondering where I'd booked us into for our honeymoon! But her confidence was restored when she saw the beautiful historic building and large arched doorways to the Caracciolo. Alitalia had lost our luggage and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and chased the airline for us. Our luggage appeared in our room the next day. The hotel is set around 2 beautiful, peaceful courtyards. You wouldn't believe how quiet it is under the courtyard's lemon trees and patio heaters and that one of Europe's most bustling cities was outside. The room itself is what I'd expect, clean and comfortable with air-conditioning, however the air-con wasn't particularly effective the first 2 nights so we had to sleep with the (very large) windows open - which would have been fine if the window didn't open onto the street and we were kept awake for several hours by Napoli's infamous garbage collectors. I would recommend trying to get a room with a courtyard view rather than a street view. The restaurant was exquisite, with a price-tag of roughly 100EUR for a meal for 2 with wine. The restaurant and bar were open for lunch and evening and it seemed the wealthier locals agreed with the quality of the food. The Old Town was full of historic streets and incredible architecture, nestled between pizzarias and apartments, and literally on the hotel's doorstep. The Duomo was a 5 min walk, the National Museum 5-10 min walk and the rest of the old town within 10-15 mins. I loved this hotel. It was easy to find, stunningly decorated and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's also convenient for the museum and historical part of town. The hill wasn't as bad as other reviews make out but we were there in February, not in the heat of summer. The street it's on is perhaps the most "threatening" that we walked on our […] entire stay but it didn't feel unsafe to me. There is 24 hour security outside the hotel and with the exception of going to the station you don't really need to walk that street. The facilities were great. There are sitting room areas, access to computers and beautiful courtyards. I thought the breakfast was lovely and offered a wide enough variety. Others are right in that there aren't huge quantities of things but they are refreshed and high quality and I prefer that. My only slight complaint would be temperature regulation in the room. It was so hot (even with the air con/heating off) that we needed the window open all night. As our window opened onto the first floor terrace we were slightly concerned but the only way to access that was through rooms and we were reassured it would be fine - and it was! Also be warned that the internet card you purchase lasts for 3 hours of internet time so remember to switch it off when you're not using it. Would stay there again and recommend to others. Devamı

Depending on your agenda, the Palazzo Carraciolo could be perfect. We were using it as a base for travel to Sorrento, Capri and Pompeii - so it was a useful location close to the train station/tube/airport bus etc. Also, decent breakfast, comfortable rooms with a good bathroom. We spent 4 nights here in February. The room was spacious, comfortable, with bath and a pleasant outlook over an attractive courtyard. This reduced outside noises. Service was friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. We had no complaints. Pretty good value.

This was the best hotel we stayed in our whole trip and it also was the cheapest. The people were incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast included was great! Our room was comfortable, and clean. Our bed was sooo comfy! I have zero complaints about this hotel. We took the train into naples and it was a very short walk to the hotel. We did not […] enjoy the city of Naples however the hotel was great and because we didnt spend much time in Naples and instead went to pompeii, the almalfi coast and capri, it was a perfect location. There was a free shuttle the hotel offered which took you clsoer to the water edge where the better restaurants were. Devamı

If you have to and I mean HAVE to go to this part of Naples, then this is the perfect hotel. If you don't have to go to Naples then I strongly recommend you give it a miss. Shocking and I've lived in some rough places!

Positives - Excellent quality of finish to the hotel - Bathroom was excellent - Free shuttle bus to and from Naples town centre - Staff are excellent, always happy to help and go out of thier way for guests - Bed is very comfortable Negatives - Nothing

Fantastic hotel, priced right. Just up the hill from the train station ~10-15 min walk. The neighborhood is a little sketchy however its only a few blocks from historic Naples which is by far the best thing to see/do in Naples.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel after a holiday in Calabria. I had read the reviews about the area, which isn't the best, but we never felt threatened by it. The hotel is fabulous. Because we arrived late after problems with the rail we decided not to go out but to stay in the hotel for a meal. Everything about it was superb even the taster soup. […] The bedrooms and bedding must be given a special mention. The Receptionist was superb as were all the staff we dealt with. The finer details of presentation, etc. were great. Would certainly recommend it and hope to go back for a few nights to see Naples properly. Devamı

this hotel is a literal oasis in napoli! It is a fabulous hotel and the service was great!!!! Naples is not the best of cities.

This was a lovely hotel with a beautiful view and a lovely balcony area for breakfast and evening drinks. Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was nothing special but was sufficient. The only problem with the hotel is that it is a 15-20 min walk uphill from the centre of the town of Amalfi. If you don't mind this, I would recommend the hotel, […] but we found it a bit of a pain in 30 degrees of heat or after diner at night. The bus service is very irregular so you can't depend on it. This hotel, not too far from Centrale Station, was a stylish and welcoming retreat from the city. My stay was all too short, and I look forward to the opportunity to return some time soon.

I went to Naples on business with several foreign clients and we all stayed at the Palazzo Caraccioli. I could not recommend this highly enough, it is a very old palazzo that once was a school, with a huge and very beautiful courtyard where drinks and food are served. The hotel staff were courteous, friendly and extremely helpful, the rooms comfortable. […] In comparison with the grand and slightly pompous, old-style, luxury hotels on the seafront (where other clients were staying and which cost a fortune) Palazzo Caraccioli is very contemporary, comfortable and a real oasis of calm in direct contrast to the heat and hustle and bustle of Naples outside. The food was great in the restaurant, breakfast was adequate (for Italian breakfasts!) but the first night I arrived, my clients had already gone out for dinner so I asked the hotel where I could go for a simple, Neapolitan pizza. They sent me to a charming and very simple pizzeria round the corner from the hotel where I had an authentic Neapolitan pizza for next to nothing. Anyway, all in all, I was extremely impressed - it may not be the most convenient of locations, but it is only 20 mins or so from the airport. I would go back again in a heartbeat, whether on business or for pleasure. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, and rooms were great. The pillows and duvet are worth a special mention - we both slept like babies! The staff were very helpful. We read lots about the dodgy location, but actually found it to be fine - even late at night. It was very well positioned, and the hotel ran a free shuttle bus at specified points […] during the day. Was very pleasantly surprised by how excellent this hotel was. My wife was concerned about Naples and the stories she was told about the train station area - but this hotel was amazing. Great staff! Very clean and modern and excellently priced. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Only one complaint - and very minor at that - the AC was not the strongest […] - so it wasn't as cool as we would have liked. Overall - excellent experience! Highly recommend! Devamı

The Pallazo Caracciolo Napoli is an excellent hotel in a less than desirable area. The hotel is close to the bus and train station, but not particularly close to the scenic sites that one would want to visit in Naples if on foot. This is a great location for businessmen and not so good for walking tourists familes with small children. The amenities […] at the hotel are excellent. Everything has been updated and modernized at significant cost. The rooms are spacious and clean, showers are hot, the beds and bedding comfortable, the location quiet and only a five minute walk from the train station. Finally, the breakfast buffet is quite good. On the downside, while the staff is more than willing to arrange private tours, they had no information regarding existing organized city tours, hop-on, hop-off buses or ferry departures. Further, the adjoining streets are rather dirty, and while I am not sure if this is a normal situation, the moats surrounding trees planted in the nearby grafitti-covered piazzas did appear to have been amply supplied with empty beer bottles for quite some period of time. In conclusion, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to a businessman or to couples, or to a family that had private means of transportation. I would not, however, stay here if I had small children and/or planned on walking to most of the popular tourist sites. Devamı

The Palazzo Caracciolo is a very comfortable hotel to stay at and the staff make a great effort to be of every assistance to you, The room was very spacious and overlooked a tidy courtyard. The only downside would be the location. The nearby streets felt intimidating at night and it is prudent to take a taxi should you need to travel about.. The hotel was perfect. Rooms were new and shiny with the best bed and shower. It was close to everything, short walk to train station. Restaurants in the area were good and the hotel restaurant was pretty good too. It was pretty, comfortable, the staff was excellent and close to everything. Great value.

This is a great hotel. The location could not be better: in the center of everything: very close to must-see sights, archaelogical museums, good restaurants, train station. Right in the middle of life at Napoli, yet super quiet and relaxing room. Service was excellent and the breakfast amazing! We strongly reccommend this hotel.

Questo albergo è davvero ottimo sia per l'accoglienza, che le camere. La prima collazione è buona con tante cose . L'unico peccato è che per chi vuole uscire la sera, meglio prendere un taxi per raggiungere il centro oppure cenare al ristorante che è buono.

Store gode rom, flotte bad og gode senger. Fantastisk frokost bestående av parmaskinke, parmesan og nyypresset juice i alle varianter. Verdens første Pizzeria med verdens beste Pizza ligger 5 minutters gange fra hotellet. Et must!

Et 4 stjernet hotel, der står i kontrast til det rå Napoli kvarter det ligger i. Overbevisende service og hyggeligt og moderne hotel med mange detaljer. Tæt på stationen og mange hyggelige gader. Gratis shuttlebus til den gamle bydel. Eneste minus er ingen gratis Wi-Fi. Det bør være standard ved 4 stjerner.

Cet ancien palais a l'architecture type des palais napolitains très grande hauteur de plafond. il est assez dépouillé et possède un confort fonctionnel. Chambre moderne, lit très confortable, salle d'eau assez petite. Buffet petit déjeuner très bien fourni et frais. Facilité pour se rendre à pied dans les vieux quartiers et pas loin à la fois de la […] gare si vous souhaitez sortir de Naples pour visiter le Vesuve, Pompei et Erculano et d'un arrèt de bus pour les autres quartiers de la ville. L'hôtel est très beau, propre, au calme. Le personnel es agréable et donne tous les renseignements nécessaires pour organiser les visites ( horaires des bateaux, trains etc...). L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier populaire proche de la gare, du centre historique ( on peut y aller à pied ) et il y a une navette pour le port !

excellent en tout cela fait des années que je voyage avec hotels.com et c'est la première fois que je note un hotel tellement j'ai été satisfaite, absolument rien à redire, tout est là si ce n'est plus

Nous avons bénéficié d'une offre très intéressante pour le mois d'août (70 ou 80€ hors petit dej). A ce prix c'est une affaire rare ! La qualité de l'hôtel est irréprochable: chambres très confortable (literie parfaite), service très attentionné, navette vers le centre, cour intérieure pour le petit dej...

Excellent hotel with very friendly service. Location not optimal, since there is somewhat of a hike to city center, but the rooms are spacious with excellent shower facilities. Great public areas in the interior garden. Breakfast unfortunately was rather basic and not in par with the rest of the hotel.

部屋のタイプが予約した部屋と違っていたので換えてもらいましたが、アメニティが一人分しかなく、電話して持ってきてもらいました。次の日も一人分しかありませんでした。男性スタッフの対応は良かったですが、受付の女性はイマイチでした。場所もちょっと不便ですね。

Excellent hôtel, qualité du service, confort, cadre très agréable, calme lorsque les chambres donnent sur le jardin, bon resturant.

Hotel nuovissimo (o ristrutturato da poco), tranquillo, vicino alle maggiori attrazioni turistiche, personale molto cortese. Può essere raggiunto anche a piedi dalla stazione del treno (10-15 minuti di cammino). Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo (ho usufruito di una offerta molto conveniente).
