River Oaks Resort - Myrtle Beach

The resort was very nice and in a quiet location, I would stay there again.

It's a very nice condo locations is close to the outlets on 501 but kind of a hike from every where else. room was clean and staff was accomodating. overall good experience. It is close to the mall and outlet on 501 so theres lots of restaurants and shopping. nice tennis court several pools indoor and outdoor.

What a good location for Golfers, not beach freindly but unbelievable for the golf and play, worked out well for my family because we moved to the beach after our short stay at river oaks

After reading some reviews, I was a bit worried which turned out to be needless. The 3 bedroom condo was terrific for our ladies weekend vacation. The furnishings were up to date & the condo was very clean & within a 5-7 minute drive to the beach. The rates were AWESOME (Mar 30-Apr 1). The bed in the master is a king swing bed, but slept very comfortably […] (I slept on one side which is what I do at home anyway). The screened in balcony & views of the golf course were an extra added bonus. Just check to see what floor the condo is on before you book & need a ground floor condo. There are no elevators and the condo units have 3 floors. I would highly recommend River Oaks to my amily, friends & co-workers!! Devamı

Place was quiet and convenient to where we needed to go. Beds could have been more comfortable, but sofas and kitchen were nice and had everything we needed. We plan on staying again.

Great location, central to everything!

They don't tell you that all rooms are not allowed to use the pools. When I first got there I asked where was the pool and they said that the side of the road that my room was at was not allowed to use the pool. First of all I was told (by the person confirming the reservation) that the hotel was loated on Ocean Blvd (just not on the shore). I had no clue that it was as far away as it was. Old apartments with extra stuff. Sofa/murphy bed - broken down - could not sleep on it because of the pertruding springs - could not even sit on it. King bed was two twin […] beds pushed together - mattresses hard as the ground. Dirty towels and washcloths. One short roll of toilet paper in two bathrooms for 6 people. Price was good but not high quality which was expected. Second time I've stayed there and both times internet access was not available even though the right up said there would be. Guess it depends which unit they put you in.

Check in and Check out procedures were not very clear. Got there late and check in office was closed. Had to get someone to get in to get our keys out of a locked box. Then had to find out exactly where we were staying. First we didnt know where to check in. All together that night we waisted 21/2 hours trying to find; Where to check in, someone to […] get us in the lock box, and finding where we were staying. Then to find out we were on the 3rd floor of the building we were in. The place was not even crowded. On the good side of it all, the place was comfortable, had a lot of the feel of a home including washer and drier. I just had a problem with up and down the steps with bad knees. Devamı

Overall the stay was pleasant although if you are traveling with a trailer they cannot accommodate you. Secondly it was little disorganized because someone in their office screwed up our reservation but in the end they were able to fix it. This is not a hotel it belongs to a time share therefor you are getting a condo that belongs to someone else. But […] it is fully equipped. A very big disappointent !!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was a very very hot mess i was suppose to have a king size bed and it was two twin size beds pushed together it was family photos hanging up and it was very old timey it was just a mess and i dont not never plan on going back!

The resort was great but the two beds pushed together was uncomfortable. The balcony floor was carpeted and a little dirty.

We "checked" in on Christmas Eve. When we checked in, the office was closed. After driving around for a while and finally finding internet to get a phone number we found a box to check in. In the box was a map. We read the map on the front, and it took us about 6 miles down the road. After finding out that we needed to use the map on the back of the […] paper, we found our condo. The floors were gross. There was food all over the dishes and no soap to clean them. The heater was broken. No internet. You needed a password. There was a indoor pool that we were very excited about using, and we didn't have the code to get in the door. Nor did we know where the pool was. The front desk was closed and no one would answer the emergency number. We froze out butts off. I have two babies and they were very cold. On Christmas day we called hotels.com b/c no one was at the resort to talk to. We were put on hold numerous times for over an hour, we were hung up on 6 times. Finally, when we got the manager, all she would do for us was NOTHING! She kept telling us there was nothing they could do until they spoke to someone at the resort. We then told her we wanted to leave. We asked her to help us find another hotel. She stated that there were no two bedroom places available. When we told her that there were plenty out there, she then said ohhh ok there are some. The only rooms that are available will cost you guys more money. She was not willing to help us out on Christmas day. Our whole Christmas day was spent trying to find somewhere to stay. Keep in mind, we had no internet and had to drive to different places to get prices. We were cold and very upset. We ended up finding our own place. We will never use Hotels.com again. Devamı

This is one of the nicest places we have stayed yet. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms dinning roomand a full kitchen along with a enclosed patio. It was great. The rate was less then what most hotels wanted for just one room. We can hardly wait to come back. Thank You Hotels.com..

the king bed was two twin bed---very uncomforable---did have any hot water in one of the bathroom---the carpet was not very clean---we had plenty of space---the tv was the old type and could hardly see the picture.--also we were on the 3rd floor---did not have any elevated. I really enjoyed my stay at the river oaks resort .as soon as i went to my room i opened the door and it really made me feel as if i had never left home ..the rooms on the property her clean had everything i need n the room but food,only one thing i didnt like was how n the master bedroom hoe they put 2 twin beds together to make QUEEN but other than […] that i was well satisfied and i would stay there again and i had told other friends that have enjoyed there stay there as well..all i can say is goood job and i will be coming back to stay there in the future.. This is our second time at river oaks. We were in a different unit this time and it was not as comfortable. The master bed was 2 beds pushed together and it was tough to sleep like that!! The area is nice, but the bed was a deal breaker

Rooms are really disappointing from cleanness to the quality of the furniture and equipment! The king size bed is two twin beds, the tvs are really small and antique and one of them didn't even work, do not plan any cooking in the nasty and rusty cooking utensils and also the WIFI is NOT in all the villas! The room was well worth the price. It was a 2 bedroom condo. The only complaints were very minor. No batteries in the remotes. The king bed pillow top was hidden in the closet and it had stains on it that looked like blood. We didn't use it. But besides that the room was well taken care of and very clean. The so-called "king size" bed was two single beds pushed together. Check in people were rude. No maid services offered. Beds were terrible like sleeping on pancakes wrapped in saran wrap. Awful experience. Amenities listed when booked were not like the actual amenities.

This was a great 2 bedroom condo for the money. With the Hotels.com discount is was well worth it. (especially if you a cheap skate like me) In all honesty, the room was not up to par with a good hotel room. At listed price I would have complained. My biggest complaint is that the beds were terrible. The mattresses and pillows wore probably done about […] 5 years ago. Check In Time was an issue, we even called ahead to ask for the room at 1:00 when we arrived ( so they knew we were there and waiting) . OK, so we could not get the room until after 3:00. That means ANYTIME after 3:00. Then they said 5:00. So we waited. Then they said, well, we (the staff) are staying until 7:00 so we can get everyone their rooms. I complained pretty bitterly, and they got me a room by 5:00. I believe wireless was advertised, there is NO WIRELESS AT ALL!. They specifically told us there was wireless in a conversation on the phone, then when we checked in they denied saying it was. Also, the pots and pans need to be thrown out. The non-stick was peeling badly, and you could nod use them to cook anything with. Great view of the golf course. Quick trip to the beach, although we did not go in peak season. WATCH OUT FOR THE EXTRA CHARGES. While waiting in the office for our room, I did personally witness a large stack of "creative" charges going out. including a broken patio chair ( we did not sit on ours because they look to be 15 - 20 years old and we did not want to pay for one) and not washing the dishes. They seemed to be more interested in accumulating these charges that they did getting our rooms ready. With a little work and better office etiquette, this could be a top notch condo rental. I think the drive to the beach might be a little painful during peak season. The last week of August was OK. The TV’s were old, so if you are used to a big flat screen, forget it. Overall a good stay for the price. Gated complex, looked nice on the outside. Carpet was worn but not bad. Stairwells and hallways could use a good spider web sweeping. Couldn't touch the handrails!

I read reviews about this palce before i rented. i decided to trust my intuition and try it. I was excited about the place. the room was spacious and everything i wished for was in the room. On the negative note, with the modern technology, i believe internet should be a priority to guests. I rented at fairways and there was no internet service. My husband needed to access internet for work purposes but he couldn't which was a let down. Also, the king bed in master bedroom was two twin beds pushed together. Not a bother to me because it was short time stay but it is a violation of marital bliss.lol.My husband slept on one end of the bed and i slept on the other end since we were afraid we would fall in the crack but eventually we figured out how to squeeze on the one side of the twin bed. not really comfortable. i would definitely rent this place again but i wish the two cases can be taken care of for guest satisfaction. We were very suprised when we arrived to our resort, after reading all other reviews. The place was very clean and nice. My family and I cooked breakfast one day and dinner the next and was very pleased that we had everything we needed. We will plan our vacation there again next year. Everything was fine but there were way to many ants in the kitchen.

Hotels.com was excellent to work with, but, the place had spots on the carpet throughout the place. They said it was a king sized bed but it was two twin beds put together. Fell through the crack the first night. While the hot tube an pool were nice. You have to check out by 10:00 am SHARP, and you can not use the pool until 10:00 am. so the last day […] you can not use it at all. Once again very happy with Hotels.com but not the place. Devamı

Everything was going great until 2 days before we were checking out, the water heater exploded at 1:30 AM and flooded the unit. I called the emergency line they sent maintenance down with four huge fans e a de-humidifier, they wanted to replace the water heater, remove the carpet and dry the water at 2:00 in the morning. I asked if they could move us […] to another unit but they were booked solid, then I asked if they could send us to a nearby hotel to spend the rest of the night while they fixed everything, they told me I was welcome to do that OUT OF MY OWN POCKET! I sent them away and told them to come back after 8:00, then I got a call from the office saying that because I was REFUSING the repair they would charge my Credit Card if there were to be any damage in the unit downstairs! I just hung up, called my bank to cancel my credit card and went back to sleep. They came back at 8:00 and moved us to another unit (didn't they say they were booked solid?). Making a long story short our last beach day ended up being a "moving and try to relax at the pool later day". Devamı

As we were driving down River Oaks Drive, the surrounding communities looked fantastic! We were sure that since our stay was so cheap, our condo complex would be the one to stand out as the run down place...IT WAS NOT! Our complex was perfect and the unit was spectacular! Very cozy, clean, new, and extremely relaxing with a great view of the golf course. […] Could not have asked for anything better. If you're heading to Myrtle Beach for the weekend a hotel might be a better idea, but if you plan to stay for a while (we were there a week) and don't want to spend all of your money eating out, the River Oaks Resort is a great choice. We rented a condo that was owned by someone as their vacation home. It was very nice for a military family to be able […] to afford a two bed room, two bathroom condo with a full kitchen (stocked with dinnerware, silverware, and normal kitchen appliances) where we could cook for ourselves and have a few lazy mornings. The boardwalk at the beach was only a few miles away and very accessible. Golf was very close; I wish I had brought my clubs. Devamı

Condo was nice to stay in, very comfortable (except couch which was awful). Quick 7-8 min drive to beach, nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown MB. Indoor pool was closed during entire stay which was disappointing. Outdoor pool was nice, but seemed a little on the small side.

nice gated community right on the intercoastal. stayed in unit 26G, top floor with a view of the water, had a dock with cabana, 2 pools, tennis. Would stay there again, even thought about purchasing a unit

My family and I enjoyed our stay and everyone was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend River Oaks Resort if your ever visiting Myrtle Beach.

I am very pleased with my stay. The pool was nice and clean. The price for a 2 bedroom apartment is a bargain. Some of the united do have free wi-fi ask for it when you make your reservation. I would recommend this resort to anyone who is willing to travel 4 miles to the beach. Otherwise it is a nice, well maintained property.

For bike week this is not a place to go because they do not allow parking on the premises. You have to park in an unsecure lot which a motorcyle was stolen!!!!!!!!!!!

When I arrived I had reservations for a three bed room unit but I got a two bedroom. Was immediately switched to the three bedroom, but it was on the third floor and I had my handicapp father. The room was AWESOME!! it was clean and spacious. There were 3 children and 4 adults and we were more than comfortable!! it was easy to get to the beach and the outlet mall. it was close to wal-mart and restaurants. The only thing I didn't like were the twin beds in both rooms and only the two beds in the master room could be pushed together. The price […] made it even better!! Devamı
