"Not a Beach Hotel"
This is not a "Beach Hotel". It is 1 1/2 blocks from beach. I requested a room close to the elevator. We were put in the room farthest away. The ocean view is between trees and bushes. No coffee pot in room

The room was clean and cozy, like a country cabin sort of feel. Not a bad thing, but not a beach resort. I was told by "Hotels.com" it was an ocean front room. It was not even facing the ocean that was 2 blocks away. Older furnature and appliances but clean and comfortable. I would probably stay again under different circumstances. "Dirty Hotel"
I was told that the hotel was on the beach but it was a block away, We arrived and the room was filthy, the baseboards looked like they had never been cleaned. I walked around in my socks and when I took them off they were filthy. I went to get Ice and the ice pieces had black bugs in them. Not a very happy person. "good price, great location, no pool"
staff was extremely friendly and helpful on several occasions.walking distance to beach and inlet/jetty (great fishing). also a few steps to some great resturants and bars like hurricane grill and blue water grill. up the street is bait and tackle shop along with great boat rentals. we rented a boat and had a great time. such a hidden treasure.only […] one thing would have been good and that would be a pool and hottub,.just saying. "Tired"
We had booked and paid for a room with ocean view and balcony. When we arrived we were informed that sorry this would not be possible as the hotel was full. So we were not given a balcony nor ocean view. At 5:30 am we woke from the neighbors having .... loudly which we heard through paper thin walls. The children found the room dark and unfriendly.

"Absentee Landlord - Or just someone lying to me"
This hotel may have at one time been a decent accomodation. Right now it is run down, unsafe, and it has bugs. The housekeeping staff is very accomodating and wants to help. The member of the front desk that I interacted with concerning my greatest issues during my stay was dismissive and stonewalled. The owner lives in another state and based upon […] the condition of the hotel is not putting money back into the hotel but rather allowing it to decline and become run down. The sliding glass door in my room was very difficult to operate. The glass was actually separated from the frame of the door and if someone pushed on it - it could easily shatter and someone could be seriously injured. I brought that up with the front desk. The response I received....blank stare. The keys to the room were so difficult to work it took several people many attempts to open the doors. Not a good situation if an emergency arose. Bugs in the bathroom and in the shower. The fully stocked kitchen was minimalistic and a full meal could not be cooked in it. Because we were brushed off with our concerns and dismissed when asked about a refund to go stay somewhere else - we made the most of the week by leaving the hotel early in the morning and returning late at night only to shower and sleep there. Fortunately we had other frieds staying at quality hotels where we could spend our days by their pools and truly walk to the beach and want to sit on that beach. The beach within walking distance was not clean, there was construction blocking the path (not mentioned when booking), It was a HUGE disappointment to travel all that way for a vacation and and have such HORRBLE accomodations. I do feel sorry for the employees that need jobs in this economy and are left to fend for themselves with a big mess. Devamı
"Absolutely Wonderful!"
This hotel was everything and more, we were very pleased with everything! The beds were so comfortable, the sliders opened to hear the ocean, the room smelled so good, the whole place was very spacious. I can not wait to revisit!!!

loved this hotel, from the location to the staff- all great. but from the picture it looks like it is on the water, but it is not. has a great view of the water from the balconies and is close to the water, about half a block, but you are not going out and sitting on the waterfront.

"Huchinson Island"
I had a delightful surprise at the Royal Inn. The price was quite reasonable and driving through Fort Pierce I was worried it would look like the depressed surroundings. Once I crossed over onto Huchinson I felt much better and after visitng waterfront area I felt even better! The hotel upgraded us to waterfront view - which was great from the balcony. […] The rooms were adorable and super clean with a nice frig and the little amenities that you need. The breakfast included was fair but it was free so we make do! There was a great area to walk and the housekeeper was so intent on pleasing us as well. It is very small but just right for a few days. Would return. The only downside was it was not too busy in the area except for the fishing pier. Devamı

The Royal Inn Beach was a first time rent for me and I was apprehensive because of that. It turned out to be a really good experience. The staff gave directions to close-by restaurants and sites. The island has several beaches on the Atlantic and on the intercoastal as well. The closest beach is just across Ocean Blvd. from the Inn. There is an inlet […] from the ocean to the intercoastal that is a block away. That provided a sidewalk along the waterway where my mother could get close-up to the fishing,Pelicans and the manatees. "Royal Inn Hutchinson Beach"
This hotel is NOT on the beach but across the street and unless you get an ocean view room on the 2nd floor you will not be able to see the ocean. The breakfast is just some cereal and coffee and you have to sit outside to eat it or go back to your room. One night we went to dinner and came back to the hotel and there was NO parking...thankfully one […] of the hotel staff was nice enough to move his car for us. Shower head was HORRENDOUS. This is a quaint older building that has been kept in good condition. It is in a safe area, very close to a beautiful beach, and good restaurants. The desk staff was very friendly and accomodating.

The picture shown of the hotel makes it look like it is on the beach. It is not - it's across a main street. Also, as of March 7, 2012 there is MAJOR construction on the beach - huge pipes and major machinery all over the beach. Looks like a big project that won't be finished anytime soon.

All in all a decent stay however the reason we picked this location was the proximity of the beach. There was construction going on all down the main road and across the street where the beach access was suspose to be they were dredging and alot of construction vehicles up and down that area. Could not access the beach from our location, had to walk […] way down the street and through another location to get there. Despite the picture you show on catalog, the hotel is not on the beach, but two blocks far from beach. The view is on the street. It's realy like a motel but the room are confortable. The brealfast is really poor, not convenient.
"not on beach, DIRTY carpet, otherwise fine"
i emailed the hotel in advance to tell them we'd be arriving LATE at night. they wrote back and said that's fine, but did not mention that the desk closes at 10 or 11pm (cannot remember). fortunately, my friend who was checking her mom in at the same hotel mentioned by chance that we wouldn't arrive until 1:00am and they gave her the keys to our room. […] this place is not on the beach at all, but there is a view from the third floor, ocean view, where we were. the first night, i made the mistake of walking on the floor barefoot. my feet were BLACK when i looked at them 20 minutes later. after that i always wore flip flops in the room. otherwise, the room was fine, curtains were a little thin so the sunlight came in very bright in the morning, everything else was clean, refrigerator and freezer were great, breakfast was good and convenient. there are some good restaurants close by and the jetty is a 5 minute walk. tons of construction going on when we were there, but we couldn't hear it over the sound of the a/c going constantly in our room. We loved this place...location was amazing, being a block from the ocean, there was nothing better than falling asleep to the sounds of the surf and waking up to an amazing sunrise without having to get out of bed...we cannot wait to go back again and stay longer
"Adequate, not great"
First, the good. The room was mostly clean and comfortable. It's a block from the beach and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Now the bad. There was what appeared to be a blood stain on the handle of the bathroom door. Easy to miss, and not something that seemed indicative of more generally poor maintenance, but still kinda gross. Also, […] the "ocean view" room was a bit oversold. Yes, you could technically see the ocean from the balcony, if you looked past the parking lot, trees, road, and other hotels. totaly disappointed I don't know what kind of carmera was used for the beach view couldn't see it from the hotel. The only positive was the room we had was clean. It would not hurt to put a cabinet in the bath to hide the old pluming the hotel still needs alot of upgrades

"good value for the money"
This is definitely not on the beach.. tried to see the sunrise and it was blocked by buildings that are closer to the beach. It is within walking distance to the beach. The furnishings were new. Overall it was a good value.

Hotel was a short distance to the beach, it is not beachfront as it may seem from the pictures. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room.

"Close to Jetty and Beach"
Beautiful room recently updated and loved the bathroom. Road construction almost complete but you can walk to the beach in less than 3 mins and to the Jetty to fish in 5 mins. Convenient morning breakfast with fresh waffle maker not frozen! Their morning coffee kept me going! Spring for the xtra ocean view room it makes a difference! "horrible, not on the beach!"
I reserved this room because it looked like it was on the beach. It is a 5 minute walk to a SMELLY beach, a beach that you cannot swim in because of all the seaweed. You have to drive about five min down the road to a decent beach. But that wasn't the main problem. I reserved a room with two doubles because there were 4 of us. When we arrived ....before […] 6 pm.....they only had a room with a king bed left. We were crammed that night and did not sleep well. The next day they switched us to a room with two doubles. That was fine until we noticed that the ceiling fan was coming apart from ceiling. I called the front desk and she said she would try to locate the maintenance guy. We went out for dinner and came back hours later to find the fan was hanging By its wires! I called and told her that we could not sleep there because the fan was above one of the beds and it might fall on us. The lady switched us to a musty smoking room and acted like it was no big deal and never apologized. Aside from all that there are sugar ants in the room, you can't leave a CRUMB out or a dried drop of juice or the ants will be all over it. The breakfast was very minimal and there was only ONE table inside with 2 chairs. Everyone else had to sit outside in the humidity....with the ants! Can't take breakfast back to the room because of the ants. I would recommend that you spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere where you will be comfortable. It will be well worth it. Devamı
We found chinchi bugs on the beds, staffs are frendly and flexible, but the hotel outside coditions are very poor and need a lot care. The suites very poor maintening and smell bad.
"The hotel is not on the beach"
The access to the beach is closed for road construction. We spent the week of 4 of July 2011 and we could never use the beach nearby. It is all rocks and algaes. People at the hotel are very nice, but the picture in their web site is fake. also the web mentions kitchenette and there is none.

The hotel was cozy. The room was small with lots of furniture. We enjoyed the stay. Would have liked a couple of nice stuffed chairs. No place to sit and relax.

Well by looking at the photo's u would think u r right on the beach well ur not! U cant even hear the ocean from ur room n might not even get a view unless ur on the 3rd floor and a room not infront of the building thats there or trees in the way. "Misleading description and photos"
Very misleading advertisement. They mislead you into thinking that you are on the beach, but you are at least three blocks away from the beach with highway construction infront of you. The wording of the add and photos seem like it is oceanfront. There was no sign at the check-in and upon ringing bells several times and waiting for 20 minuets, no one […] showed up to check us in. Finally we called the hotel and could hear it ringing inside the office, and then finally someone picked up and came to check us in. What if you do not have a phone on you? VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! We had only one night to experience the beaches of Florida, and got a memory of a bad night instead of the beauty of the east cost of Florida beaches. Devamı
"Pet Friendly not other guest friendly"
Overall not a bad hotel for the price with a close to the beach location. Don't be fooled by the picture this is not beach front but it is beach view. I knew this going in because of other comments and it wasn't an issue for me. Plus - room was clean, average size, comfortable beds. Minus - Pet Friendly - the dog in the room next door that started […] barking at 6am without interruption by the pet owner. Was the owner even in the room? Not the hotel's fault but if you don't want to deal with pets this may not be the hotel for you. Breakfast - the waffle mix was 5 days old and didn't work in the waffle iron. When we asked for additional containers of mix they were of the same vintage. Belgium waffle mix does not improve with age. The coffee looked like weak tea, the cereal in the dispensers was stale. We went and got breakfast elsewhere. We only stayed one night and the issues weren't major because of our short stay, if you're looking for a longer stay on the beach you might want to look elsewhere. Devamı
"Needs Improvement"
I know you can not do anything about the construction.. The room was good. But the bath tub did not drain well. The shower curtain is too dark. The person that cleans the room took the dirty towels and did not leave clean ones nor did they make the beds until I complained that I did not have any towels. "CLOSE to the beach"
We had a great stay. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. It is not located ON the beach but it's right across the street....easy walk with the kids.

The hotel is in a nice location, near the water, but there was major road construction going on, which really dampened the view. There is a nice park nearby and a jetty from which a couple of dozen people were fishing. The check-in staff was rather cold and acted like she really did not want to be there. Beds were extremely comfortable, high marks for […] those. The "continental" breakfast was more like a "small island" than a continent. There are two tiny tables at which to eat inside. Most of the dining space was on an outdoor deck, where it was 80 degrees at 8:00 in the morning. The housekeeping staff was very cordial. We were looking at possibly renting the entire property for an upcoming wedding, but after staying there, we spent the next day looking for other accomodations. Devamı

The hotel is a older hotel so the condition of the room had some wear and tear. The hotel is located two blocks from the ocean. The staff was very nice. I would recommend this hotel but keep in mind it is a older hotel.
