Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo - Tokyo

My sister and I stayed 4 nights at Citadines. Our room was very nice and it was bigger than I imagined. The bathroom was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We arrived early and stored our luggage until check in. The staff were great. Always helpful and gave good ideas on where to go. They all spoke English well. The hotel is close to the major metro station of Shinjuku (7-8 mins) but still a little off from the bustling city center (right next to an elementary school) which allows the satisfactory level of silence and coziness without losing the convenience of quick access to transportation/shops/restaurants.

This hotel is in an excellent location if you want to explore Tokyo using the metro. The room had everything we needed (including free WiFi) and the staff were friendly and efficient. I will definately use this hotel again!

This is our second time staying there. The last time was 2 years ago. Very convenient - abt 10 mins walk to the main Shinjuku stn, and there's a metro stn less than 5 mins walk away. There used to be a few convenience stores around the bend, now they're everywhere along the main street. Finally, I ran to the Akasaka Palace and several parks in Shinjuku […] one morning.. very nice. Devamı

Great staff, they helped us with all our enquiries and gone out of their way to assist us with transporting a bicycle back home. Although a little far from Shinjuku station, you don't really notice it walking back to the hotel.

Only got to stay one night because they were full but was the best of four hotels I stayed during my ten days in Japan. Would have liked to stay there four my entire four day stay in Tokyo

Compared to some of the other hotels on offer in Shinjuku this is a very quiet hotel. Its a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku but if you dont want to be surrounded by skyscrappers or neon signs its worth it. The room was big and clean, one slight gripe is that the heating went off when you removed the room key so your room would be cold if you returned after […] a days sight seeing. Hotel staff spoke very good english and were very helpful. Rooms have free high speed internet (compared to UK) but not wi-fi. Take a PC and you are good to go. The hotel's far from central Shinjuku area especially if you drag your luggage from the station to the hotel. Other than the distance, there's nothing I could complain about. Very spacious for Tokyo standard, good cost performance. Clean. Would definitely return.

+ very practical to have a small kitchen , feel a bit at home . + rooms are spacious - a bit far from metro station - rooms on road are a bit noisy but bright , the others have no view at all and bit dark but more quiet . - shampoo and cream can be improved (for a better quality ) - towels bit small

We stayed in two location in Japan at two separate hotels. We enjoyed the location and quality of Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo and plan to stay there again on our next trip. We actually preferred it over the Hyatt.

We recently stayed at the Citadines Shinjuku for one night upon returning from a Ski trip. It is a decent walk from the train station with bags, approximately 1km, so would recommend getting a taxi instead of walking. The hotel said free wifi (which was important to me, as I was working overseas and trying to avoid the exorbident data roaming costs), […] however there was no wifi in the rooms, only in the reception which was very slow and hard to connect to. A very small, but cosy, well-equipped room complete with microwave and stove. And the best part? The wonderful, helpful staff. The only (very small) negative....instant coffee instead of a coffee maker and "real" coffee. Other than that...next time we're in Tokyo....we're staying there.

Great room. So nice to have a kitchen area. Exceptionally helpful staff. Walking distance to subway (metro). Be sure to ask which subway exit has an elevator if you are arriving with luggage.

This was the best place i stayed at during my time in Japan. The rooms where quite big. Moden, and very comfortable. The location is convenient. Convenience store just up the street. A short walk to bars, restaurants & train station. The staff we very friendly and helpful. Next time i'm in Tokyo, i know i'll be staying here.

If you plan to visit Tokyo, this is a MUST stay aparthotel! You'll find it above the average hotels in Tokyo. Worth your money, and a pleasant place to stay, especially if you are travelling with children.

Loved the staff. Price was great. Neighborhood is VERY close to a lot of things but the hotel tucked away just where the neighborhood quiets down. Would def recommend to others and would stay again in a heartbeat!

If 'Easyjet' styled hotels then they would look like Citadines! Seriously though, staff spoke good english, helped us arrange tours, hailed cabs for us. Room size is small but OK for Tokyo standard, sofabed was comfortable. Had to get a cab to another hotel for the Mount Fuji tour. This well appointed facility is an easy 15 minute walk from the Shinjuku subway and train station. Good neighborhood with all facilities at the Shinjuku hub. The Narita Express stops at Shinjuku. We took the JR train from the Haneda Airport without difficulty. Free WiFi in the lobby. We did not have any meals at the hotel. Very helpful, friendly staff. […] Highly recommend staying here. Having stayed in a Citadines hotel in Kyoto we were looking forward to our stay in Shinjuku. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids and we were given adjoining rooms. Whilst away from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku we found the 5 minute walk ideal. All the staff were helpful in the extreme making many recomendations. spacious room in excellent condition. Helpful staff. The only drawback is that it is not very easy to find in the first time. And the walk is a bit tiring from JR (of course the metro a lot nearer).

For the price, definitely one of the most spacious rooms you can get in Tokyo! I thought it would just be a regular hotel room, but it had a kitchen, complete with pots and other kitchenware. The room was spacious and had lots of storage space, plus the modern style decorations were a nice touch. If you're going to use the subway, ask how to get there […] since it can be a little confusing. They will show you on the map--it isn't far, just a few blocks. The staff was very helpful and polite. We stayed here for 3 nights, and overall were very pleased. The staff all spoke pretty good English and were very friendly, the room was clean and quite nice (not to mention quite spacious by Japanese standards), and the location seemed pretty good as well. Shinjuku station is only 2 stops away on the subway, and from there you can get just about anywhere […] in the city. The staff has been positively amazing from check-in to check-out! They upgraded my room for free, and I did not expect to get such a big room (it's Tokyo!) I also left behind a really important possession in my room, and the staff contacted me and sent it back to my address as fast as they could. We spent 2 nights at this great hotel, located about 5 min walk to subway station and about 15 min walk to Shinjuku Station. Very clean and quiet, would reccomend to friends. Great for the price.

I usually try to stay at Citadines Shinjuku whenever I am in Tokyo. Very central Shinjuku location and easy connection to Subway and JR. Lots of bars and eating places in the vicinity. This is mostly a hotel for extended stay guest, so don't expect the service you would expect from a normal hotel. The staff could be a bit friendlier, but they are there […] when you need them. The rooms are very roomy for Japan with fridge and mini-kitchen. Forget about the breakfast at this hotel, better get something in one of the many cafes nearby! Devamı

The position of the hotel had been a complaint from other reviewers however don't let this put you off. There are two different metro stations within a short walk and lots to do at this end of Shinjuku. The main shopping area is about 10 mins away and there is a good selection of both restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Citadines had very helpful staff. The rooms were very clean and cleaned daily. We were pleased with the amount of space in our twin. Enough storage space to put away large suitcases and unpack clothes and rooms had kitchen/cooking facilities if needed them. Aircon good. I chose Citadines Shinjuku because it was located in a vital part of Tokyo and because its description as an 'aparthotel' offered more space in what are most often extremely cramped Japanese hotel rooms. Citadines Shinjuku surpassed expectations on all fronts - not only was the space larger but it's location in a quieter but still connected part of […] the suburb made it a welcome retreat from the general Tokyo busyness. Local eateries were fine and offered good variety and we fell in love with isetan for everything it offered - especially great food. I wouldn't hesitate to return on my next Japan trip. Devamı

My husband and I stayed at Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo for 9 nights. We had a wonderful time. The hotel room was lovely, it looks just like the photos. We had plenty of room and it was nice to have a kitchen and couch since we were there for over a week. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We didn't have to ask for much because the rooms were well […] stocked with supplies. Each room even has an iron and ironing board. The laundry on the first floor was super helpful!! We loved this hotel, it was the best one we stayed in in Tokyo. The hotel itself was modern, clean and had great amenities including a laundry, internet, gym and great value breakfast buffet. We couldn't have hoped for better with the staff. They assisted us with directions to a baby and children's shop to buy food, nd were consistently knowledgable […] about how to get to various destinations. The staff washed our dishes for us while we were out as part of the house keeping service which was extremely helpful when traveling with baby bottles, bowls, spoons etc. Across the street there was a 24 hr bento box restaurant which we used on several occasions. There is also a 7/11 virtually nextdoor which we used for phone cards, beers and jars of sake! Very convenient. It's also very easy to get to other parts of central Tokyo like Shibuya. The bright lights and exciting sights of Shinjuku are only a short walk down the street, and as mentioned in a previous review the Isetan food court is an absolutely must as you can get everything from coloured macaroons to thai salads and sashimi. Overall, we loved this hotel and look forward to staying in other Citadines in other countries. They are onto a winning formula, and the price is very reasonable in comparison with other similar establisments. Stay here, you'll love it! Devamı

Do not hesitate to book accommodations at this "apart-hotel"--you will not be disappointed. Close to the subway, clean, quiet, plenty of utensils to make small meals--I can't fault one thing about the hotel. Our family loved the hotel! We took 2 adjacent rooms, with 2 persons occupying each. The rooms were SO clean, and everything seemed new. The price was great for such excellent facilities. For the dinners that we didn't eat out, we bought food from the Isetan Department Food Hall (in the basement) and had the meals in the apartment. The food hall is […] an absolute feast, not least for the eyes and senses - a simply 'must-visit' place. Takashima's food hall is good too, but a slightly further walk away. The 7-11 store a few doors away sells delicious yakitori (chicken pieces on a stick) in case you are hungry. There's a nice and fairly cheap little restaurant nearby called Tokyo Chubo (or something like that) - turn left at 7-11, the restaurant is a little further up on the right. There is plastic food displayed in the window, but all the signs and menu are in Japanese. There's no need to pack too much clothes, as the hotel has a coin-operated laundry on the ground floor. They are also very free with their loan of umbrellas. The staff speak excellent English. Devamı
