Courtyard by Marriott London Gatwick Airport - Gatwick

We arrived at Gatwick around 7pm and were flying back out at 10am. This was about a 5 minute walk from the South Terminal - easy to follow the signs. There was a bar and restaurant, the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable.

Very good hotel for airport stay. Good restaurant on site. Efficiently run facility. Overnight car parking fee excessive/unnecessary.

The Marriott Courtyard Gatwick airport was fine. Bedrooms are particularly comfortable. Location is about a 10 minute walk from Gatwick South terminal but as it was raining I had to get a taxi that cost £9. Hotel prices are good but I didn't particularly like the bar area and the prices are steep.For North Terminal departures I prefer the Sofitel but […] if the price is right, the Marriott Courtyard is a good second choice. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott London Gatwick Airport on our way to the Brighton Marathon and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. The only negative, for us, was the quality of the bed as it was too soft and tended to make a 'hole' in the middle. But, it could be a personal question. Spot on, cheap, good quality and extremely clean, you can't ask for much more.

First, if you think they provide free shuttle service from airport, be warned. Be ready to wait exposed to the elements at the airport for upto 20 minutes for a bus which will cost you 3 Pounds one way. Second, be prepared for a cold and rude reception. They will not even accept your visiting card. At check in, they insist on you filling up your address […] in hand not only once, but twice. And, for minor things that one take for granted at branded chains (like an adapter for charging laptop/cellphone), be prepared to pay. Dont expect currency exchanged at the hotel. The reception staff will be advise you to walk to the airport if you want to change currency. If you are transiting through Gatwick, I strongly recommend a couple of other hotels with COVERED walkways to the Gatwick airport, even if they cost a bit more. Rather have peace of mind at a slightly higher cost than be upset with a barrage of unpleasant experiences at this hotel. Devamı

I had booked a twin room and ended up with a double bed to share with my friend the night before a 15 hour flight-not ideal. Reception told me they canno guarantee the type of room, only whether they had a room or not. The room was lovely, well decorated and clean. The room is of a high standard and reasonable for the rate. Just be careful that everything is charged thereafter. We found the bottled water on the table at a mere £4.85 quite shocking. Having said that, we would stay there again without hesitation

Stayed there on a Sunday evening before an early flight the following morning. Hotels was 5mins walk from south term & well sign posted once you get to where the bus stops are. We checked in to this Marriott hotel and expected a normal Mariott standard. It was far from so, everything went wrong and nobody gave any assistance at all. The service was non exsistence and the fact that the staff did not speak English or understand it was a shock. Expected that in England hotel staff does understand English. I got served the wrong […] food because the waiter did not pay attention to my order. My "free" internet was charged upon checkout. My dinner was on my bill upon checkouteven though it was paid the night before. The worst was the problem with the staffs understanding of English - I will not stay there again. Devamı

Great hotel, very clean , great location, good service , would recomend to anyone

This hotel was beyond all expectations in terms of proximity to the airport, the service, and condition of the rooms. Two things of note were problematical: one is that the full breakfast costs about the same as having dinner out with wine and dessert, and don't expect to have a shower there -- the "cold' water setting in the shower is scalding hot, […] the "hot" is almost at boiling point. Excellent hotel situated near the South Terminal. Can't fault the hotel, but cleaners came into my room very early in the morning whilst I was asleep.

Phoned room service 4 times over 35 mins and no one answered. So tried reception and they said sorry and they would get them to call me back. Nobody called so I tried again .... now 70 mins after first call. No opening windows in the room and no fresh air. Just stale recycled air and a noisy ventilation system that cannot be turned off.

Good Hotel for purposeof overnight stay and early flight. Only disappointment was a large hole in bed linen! Bedroom has usual facilities but water in room is expensive to drink!

This hotel is very convenient if you need to be close to Gatwick before flying out. When I read the reviews they mentioned it was walking distance....not sure about that as it was confusing enough trying to find the shuttle at the airport....but it was a very short ride. Shuttle costs £3 pp.

I stayed here the night before an early flight. The staff were friendly, the room was very cleanand comfortabe, and its not far to Gatwick's South Terminal. I enjoyed my stay.

Comfortable modern quiet room, value for money. Ideal location for our 8am flight from Gatwick - less than 10 minutes walk to South Terminal. No outaide windows - air vemtalation system is a must but *very* laud difficult to sleep.

Awsome place, Gatwick express to london was sweet at only 30 minute duration and 40 quid for 2 return tickets. Walk from Gatwick airport to the hotel!!!! don't get fooled and use the bus! its only a 10 minute walk from one of the terminals (i can't remember which) otherwise you will be paying 3 pounds per person for a single ride to the hotel! Room excellent value for money. Ten minute walk from the Terminal which is very handy saving the wait for transport. Breakfast slightly on the expensive side for budget hotel.

Great hotel for a great price and really close to the airport (although we didn't hear a thing in the room). We walked from South terminal, took about 10 minutes and was easy to find. Clean and excellent service. Couldn't ask for anything else from a cheap, airport hotel, will defintely use again!

Nice modern hotel with very clean rooms and a standard bathroom. The food was tasty but pricey! The only big downside was the fact that a member of our conference left her wallet in the room during the day and by dinner time it was gone! The hotel was extremely well appointed, the room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is only a 5 to 8 minute walk from Gatwick South Terminal which is ideal for early morning departures. Breakfast isn't included which is a bit of a shame but it wasn't a problem for me anyway as I had to leave 2 hours before breakfast was due to start. Easy choice for transit passengers.

Stayed here before an early flight - what more could you want? Spacious room, very easy check in/out, immaculatly clean room and hotel surroundings. Nice bed and even toiletries in the rooms. When arriving the booking was missing a bed for one child but the receptionist fixed the siutation by giving us another room and moving the reserved baby bed in a matter of minutes. Hotel is well equipped with clean and confortable room, gym fitness center, restaurant, bar and small corner shop. The hotel is minutes (walking) from the airport but they do not signpost it. Consequently we waited about 30 minutes for a bus that cost £6 to take us round a corner (albeit, the long way round). Perfect hotel to stay at for catching an early morning flight. Took 6 minutes to walk to the South terminal from the Hotel. No aircraft noise in the room. Will use again.

The hotel itself was very nice and the food was good. We went for it for its less expensive rate although at the end we had to pay for the shuttle bus for £ 12 for the two of us, return, which I wasn't aware of.

8 minutes walk from Gatwick South Terminal. Exit the front of the building turn right past the car hire reservations block and keep walking. Good value although breakfast is £14.95.

Superb hotel with excellent service. Extremely convenient for Gatwick Airport and travelling into London. Will definitely use it again.

The standard for the price were very high. The quality and confort of the room were very high.

We had no problem with the hotel itself - BUT - 'after sales service' was POOR. On the morning of departure, in the scramble to catch our flight, my wife left her 'holiday robe' hanging in the bathroom. When we arrived at out destination, she contacted the hotel, and to cut a long unhappy story short, was told that 'she must have made a mistake' - 'that […] NO robe had been logged in, therefore no robe had been left'. We had flight out next morning. Staying at this hotel made it easy to be at airport early.
