The weather was very windy and cold during our stay which did not worry us when we were outside but it did affect the temperature of the room as the wind blew through the cracks in the door, which was not double glazed. To maintain the temperature in the room the curtains had to be closed throughout the day which meant that we were unable to take advantage […] of the sea view that we had paid extra for. This hotel is very clean, big spacious room with a huge bed! Nice bathroom. My partner and I had a sea view room which was lovely however I am sure the non sea view rooms are just as good. Beautiful location, rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff mostly very pleasant although lunch waiting staff ( a young woman) was very offhand and just this side of rude. A real pity that an otherwise good experience was let down by the food. The menu sounded excellent but the food itself was very poor. Caesar salad at lunch was greasy, lettuce leaves […] soggy and chicken barely edible - and no-one should attempt an eggs benedict unless they know what they're doing! It quite ruined my breakfast. Sorry for saying this but if only the food could be hugely improved then I'd say this was a really good hotel. i will come again but this time I'll eat out - the Italian next door was good. Devamı

Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We changed rooms because the original was on the 3rd floor with no lift - too many stairs for us, so if you are a little less sprightly do make that clear. The room was draughty until we closed the curtains, but we stayed on the coldest night of the year with a stiff east wind and snow! Very typical, better than average British hotel. I took my mother for a couple of days and we each had a single room. The single rooms are probably not typical of the main double rooms, so I can't comment on the bigger rooms. The single rooms were very tiny, as my mother described "children's rooms". Very, very basic, with tiny bed and hardly room to […] turn around, bathroom with shower the same. Also I guess single rooms are the worst as they face the street which was somewhat noisy late at night and drafty (no double glazing). But overall it was clean and the staff very nice. Included breakfast is good as mentioned by everyone, and you don't have to stick to the menu, they will make whatever you want. The food in the bar is just that, bar food, rather oily roasted veg and soggy fries, nothing to right home about. (Go up the road to Cafe 54 for really good food). Bar staff very nice, let me sample beer before buying! Broadstairs in the winter is pretty dead, Dickens museum and Bleak House both closed, so 2 nights was plenty long enough, but it made a nice break for walks on the sandy deserted sandy beach. Devamı

This is an old building with its own character, and if you're lucky you'll get a very attractive room with a wonderful sea view. I've enjoyed a stay here before and found myself in a very small but charming room overlooking the bay - superb! This time not so lucky - I got a very mean and pokey room facing the town rooftops. Disappointing but worth putting […] up with for the excellent service and really engaging and amenable staff. Cod and chips in Ballards was very very poor, but otherwise the food in the restaurant area is fine. Good breakfasts, nice outdoor area and verandah to enjoy meals/drinks. Eight of us had a brilliant time! Service and position of hotel is amazing! Apart from one or two little plumbing problems, everything was great.

Arrived with only medium expectation but we soon were very impressed. The room and en-suite well appointed and clean, and the balcony a welcome facility given the wonderful weather. Breakfast was very good and promptly served with the option of inside or outside dining. The room had a genuine and full sea view.

The room was absolutely first class. Spotlessly clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was superb. We had a lovely long weekend break. Thank you Royal Albion Hotel.

Could only stay one night would have liked to stay longer, great food in the restaurant, superb breakfast in the best British Breakfast style. Looked and felt as though the room had just been refurbished. Booked through Expedia who didn't mention that the hotel has an arrangement for parking in the local car park.

I decided to stay at the Albion hotel based on the positive reviews on this site.My first impression on arrival was that the decor of the hotel reception and hallway was somewhat tired; the halls were narrow and dated.My room was clean and tidy, but extremely small.The bedside unit was too small to get clothes into comfortably and the cupboard was essentially […] an upright wooden box. The receptionist was both helpful and polite, although the bar staff were indifferent.The waitress serving breakfast was somewhat surly and was not keen to engage in conversation.Early in the week,the fruit bar and breakfast were not bad, in fact quite good.A variety of different,fresh fruits on offer.However,towards the end of the week, the fruit bar began to look tired and bruised, as if the fruit had been sitting out for a while.On one day,my sausage was clearly re-heated and cold on the inside.Overall, a disappointing experience compared with the reviews and will not be going back in a hurry. Super rooms, clean and to a good specification. We enjoyed having connecting rooms but could a an issue for others as only single connecting door. View was wonderful overlooking Broadstairs beach. Have just returned from a one night stay at The Royal Albion Hotel in Broadstairs. The staff were friendly, helpful and really wanted to make your stay a pleasure. The room (No 32) had a lovely view out to the bay. Comfortable kingsize bed with large bathroom and modern beach style decor. Very comfortable. Only downside was the food in the bar in the […] evening. We had a dog with us so could only eat there. It was horrible. Greasy, oily fish and chips and tasteless fishcakes. This was our first visit to Broadstairs. The hotel was great, the staff couldn't do enough to help us. It was very clean with great decoration in North American West Coast style. We did not eat at the hotel but were directed to a very nice Italian nearby. The breakfast the following day was excellent. We were also upgraded to a room with a sea-view. My […] companion left some shoes in the room and they were sent to us the folowing day. Broadstairs in an old-fashioned seaside town which is still a little down at heal but with a great beach, has no large amusement arcades or rides. this hotel was perfect. It overlooks the sea on a charming road. It is a stylish old building that has been recently refurbished in good taste - our room and bathroom were beautiful. Loved it! Right on the seafront and my room overlooked the beach. Great view of the fireworks display! Top notch breakfast which you could take on the outside terrace. Best chilled wine we found throughout the resort. And if the place was good enough for Dickens...........
