Maryelen & Giovi - Roma

We did not get information that payment by card was not accepted. The breakfast was poor, bread from yesterday, cerials too sweet. The juice was more like lemonade than fruit-juice.

I stayed at Hotel Maryelen & Giovi for 3 nights in Jan' 2012, and it was a completely positive experience. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful, providing us with a map of Rome as well as the business cards of a couple local restaurants they personally recommended - we did'nt actually actually try any of the restaurants but one of them is almost […] opposite to the hotel. My room and ensuite were both of a decent size and very clean, i was very impressed for the price I paid. The accoustics of the hotel meant that noise carried very easily at unwanted times, but that is through no fault of the staff. The breakfast was lovely, a wide range with cereals, pastries, fruit, cold meats and cheese as well as coffee, juice and other drinks. Being right near the Termini station, the hotel is pretty much within walking distance of all the main attractions in Rome - if you are prepared to do lots of walking. The only public transport I used during my trip was getting a bus to Vatican city which was 1 Euro from Termini station. One thing I will say is that you can ONLY pay the room fee by cash, there are no card payment facilities at the hotel. This was not made clear when I was booking, and I ended up having to take out extra Euros from my credit card, for which I was of course charged a stupid fee, so just be aware. The credit card details you have to enter when booking are just for reference I think. Overall a really great place to stay if you don't want something really pricey and which is in a good location. Maryelen and Giovi Hotel. Superb sevice all round. Great room and marvellous breakfast. Internet provided in hotel. Just about 200 metres from main Station in Rome. Run by a family who are totally helpful and charming. Will certainly stay there when in Rome in the future and at the price I really cannot say how they do it. Bravo Maryelen and Giovi.

Pleasant and easy to deal with. Having come from a number of 4 star hotels (that ticked the star boxes), where the air conditioning was faulty or the shower was a dribble or the plumbing was blocked etc, this was a pleasant surprise. Hotellet ligger i gåafstand til alle seværdigheder. Værelset var rummeligt med et lille badeværelse og udsigt til en lille have (baggården). Familien som ejer hotellet står selv i receptionen og de er meget hjælpsomme til at fortælle hvordan man kommer rundt i Rom. Morgenbuffeten var udemærket efter italiensk standard men noget kedelig for mit vedkommende, […] med tørt brød og ringe udvalg af pålæg -tilgengæld stort udvalg af kager. Jeg vil anbefale dette hotel venner og familie og selv booke det næste gang jeg skal til Rom. Devamı

das hotel is einfach toll!!super lage,2gehmintuen von termini gelegen,viele restaurants in der nähe! es is sehr schön,super gepflegt,hat einen sehr schöner innenhof und sehr einladendes foyer,super nette inhaberinnen!die zimmer sind sehr gemütlich und obwohl mein zimmer an die strasse ging,war es überhaupt nicht laut und ich konnte bei offenem fenster […] sehr gut schlafen,da es gar nicht laut war!das hotel ist echt top und sehr empfehlenswert!!! Das Hotel Maryelen & Giovanni liegt nur wenige Gehminuten von der Station Termini entfernt. Es ist super erreichbar. Loredana und ihre Schwester die das Hotel leiten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auf Nachfrage haben wir ein Zimmer zum Innenhof bekommen. Dennoch war es trotzdem sehr hellhörig. Die Zimmer im Innenhof sind in abgeschlossenen Apartments […] untergebracht. Immer wenn jemand das Apartment öffnet ist das zu hören. Die Zimmer sind nicht sonderlich groß, aber funktional mit Bett, Nachtschrank, Schrank und Tisch mit Stühlen eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer war sehr eng. Umziehen war hier nicht möglich. Die Dusche war okay, der Wasserdruck allerdings nicht besonders hoch (vielleicht ist das in Rom normal). Wenn man nach der Dusche barfuß durchs Zimmer gelaufen ist konnte man schnell feststellen, dass der Boden nicht sehr sauber gewischt war. Auch das ein oder andere Haar war im Bett zu finden... Das Frühstück war nicht sonderlich üppig. Brot, Schinken und Scheibenkäse, sowie Tomaten und Olivenpaste auf der salzigen Seite und einiges an richtig pappig Süßem. Aber auf Nachfrage hat man leckeren Latte oder Cappuchino bekommen. Alles in Allem ok, aber nicht der Hit. Devamı

Enkelt og godt hotell, beliggende nær tog og buss. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Bra frokost, men badet var lite. Rolig gate med mange spisested.
