Baronesse - My Secret Home - Vienne

It was lucky that we only stayed in the hotel for one night during our return to Vienna. We booked because we see a lot of positive comments from hotel.com and thought this is a boutiquire hotel with old style decorations but there are way too many complaints on this hotel. People said this is very convenient but the nearest metro station is Rathaus […] and it takes about 15 minutes walk from the station to the hotel while not many things to see around. There is no direct tram going to the major tourist area such as Stephansplatz area. The receptionists are not very helpful and some can't even speak fluent English. We were astonished to see the lift which is the 60th Century lift (which we need to pull out the door) - but we can treat this as an antique! We need to open a door with our key when we reached the 2nd floor where our room is located and then found our room at the end of the corridor. The room was very old and damaged. Seems like there are fleas as well. We were itchy sleeping on the bed. No Kettle in room and no complimentary coffee or tea in the room. Given this price, it was far from expectation. No carpets and the wood floor is worn and dirty. Toilet seems to be built in at a later date, just a shower in a very small toilet, need to squeeze in and the towels are greyish and worn too. Cracks on the wall can be easily seen everywhere. We feel like only one room was occupied in our floor apart from ours but we really don't understand why the staff put us in such a room while there are so many rooms around which at least have carpets (though look old too). There is a bunch of dirty and dusted white rose hanging on the wall on top of the bed. Our only feeling is that when we slept there, it is like sleeping in a tomb. Breakast was no good at all, not even the basics e.g. scramble egges / bacon. We can only find boiled eggs and one type of boiled sausage and the rest are continental breakfast. Hotel blisko linii metra. Sympatyczna i pomocna obsługa. Pokoje czyste. Smaczne i urozmaicone śniadania. W hotelu cisza i spokój.

sehr ringhörige Zimmer, man hört sogar das Schnarchen im nebenanliegenden Zimmer! Ohropax wären da sinnvoll.

The hotell was good for the price. Location was great and the staff was superfriendly. The breakfast area and food was also super. On the negative side - outdated old carpet in our room, I found some previous guests clipped nails on the floor and the glasses in the minibar were not clean. I asked for new glasses, which was not a problem. The location […] and staff was great, however the clipped nails and dirty glasses leads me to rate this hotel as a 3-star, not 4-star. All in all we did have a nice stay, and for the price including breakfast it was not bad. Would recommend this to other people. Devamı
