Hotel Scalinata di Spagna - Roma

This is an excellent hotel with a very warm host. The breakfast is free ad quite good compared to hotels of this price. I got an upgrade so that I did not have to wait for guests to check out. This was really great considering I was staying for a ight and was. alone. Staff was incredibly helpful and lugged my luggage up the stairs though it was strictly […] not necessary. There's only good to say about this charming boutique hotel at the top of the Spanish Steps. In Rome, with all its business and bustle, it's nice to be able to retreat into the calm little oasis of the Scalinata di Spagna. We were touring around Italy, so needed a central hotel for our one day in Rome. Right on the Spanish Steps, and 10 minutes stroll […] down to the Trevi fountain, this is a nice location for strolling in the evenings, even if it's a little farther to both the Vatican and the historical ancient areas - it took us about 40 mins to walk up from the Forum to the hotel, but that might be because we stopped at various shops and ice-cream stores on the way! The hotel is only about 25 mins walk from the Termini train station, if you need to get to the airport and prefer not to pay taxi rates. If your feet are sore, there is a taxi rank in the piazza outside the door, and we had an entertaining ride to the Vatican (costing about ten euros) through the hot streets, dodging scooters. A taxi ride in Rome is an experience not to be missed! Rooms were small but well-appointed - as hotel rooms often are in capitals around the world. For the money, the room we had was very good, with a small private sun terrace. Breakfast was buffet continental style, the same as every hotel we had on our Italy tour - adequate to start you off on your day but not luxurious. The roof terrace was a nice touch, though we retreated inside since it was already hot. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the centre of Rome - you are right in the heart of everything going on. Devamı

Rooms are small but clean, Staff are friendly and helpful, Location is terrific. Roof terrace is a pleasant place for breakfast or for relaxing in the afternoon. Given the sky-high hotel prices in Rome, Scalinata gives reasonable value for money

The Perfect Location -- on top of the Spanish Steps. Two minute walk to the elevator that goes to the bottom of the Spanish Steps and the entrance to the Spagna subway station. 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain. Right in the center of restaurants and shopping. Two good restaurants at the front door. Good European breakfast, good bed, adequate bath. Great location close to the sites, dining and shopping. Located at the top of the Spanish Steps so be ready for some ups and downs. The steps aren't a problem unless you have some physical restrictions. Having breakfast on the roof of the hotel was a very nice touch. Just a note, Italian Hotels are not like American Hotels so don't expect the same  […] standards. Devamı

Meget hyggeligt lille hotel i fin stand med tagterrasse og sublim beliggenhed på den spanske trappe. Vi havde et familie rum med 2 værelser og 2 badeværelser - godt til 6 personer.

Om det inte varit för alla duvor och en stor trut som tilläts stöka till på frukostterrassen och t.o.m. komma in i bufférummet (!) hade detta varit ett perfekt ställe för en Rom-weekend med romantiska förtecken!

Hotel je přímo nad Španělskými schody, dobrá dostupnost Metrem, velmi příjemný personál, výborné snídaně.

Onnistuin saamaan hotellista huoneen todella edullisesti. Huone oli upea ja hotelli kaikkinensa pikkiriikkinen ja ihana sekä henkilökunta todella ystävällistä. Sijainti Espanjalaisten portaiden yläpuolella takasi upeat maisemat aamiaishuoneesta. Läheiseltä metroasemalta pääsi halutessaan hissillä hotellin lähelle, jos halusi välttää raskaan nousun. […] Hotelli on periaatteessa kävelyetäisyydellä kaikista merkittävistä nähtävyyksistä, joten siinä mielessä sijainti on hyvä. Tosin hotellin edustalla olevat kadut olivat pimeitä ja mielestäni ankeita. Pidin enemmän Espanjalaisten portaiden alapuolella olevan hotelli Gondotin sijainnista - se oli täydellinen :) Devamı

Et veldig koselig hotell med perfakt beligenhet. Personalet var hyggelig og imøtekommende. Eneste lille minus var at frokosten fra tid til annen gikk tom for mat og servicen for påfyll var noe sen. Alt i alt en svært hyggelig erfaring

Accueil chaleureux et personnel disponible. Hôtel très bien situé même si notre chambre était un peu petite. service impeccable. belle terrasse sur le toit pour le petit déjeuner.
