The hotel's location was within walking distance to the metro station. The continental breakfast was good, we enjoyed the make-it-yourself waffels. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

OUR ROOM WAS CLEAN AND THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE. I DO THINK THEY SHOULD INVEST IN NEW BED COVERINGS---THEY WERE CLEAN BUT A LITTLE DINGY LOOKING.VERY PLEASANT EMPLOYEES-ALWAYS WITH A SMILE AND EAGERNESS TO HELP.ESPECIALLY THE FRONT DESK STAFF. ACROSS THE STREET IS A SISTER HOTEL THAT DOES HAVE 2 RESTAURANTS. GOOD HOTEL LOCATION. WE WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN---CLEANLINESS IS ALWAYS MY MAIN CONCERN. The hotel was really nice and easy enough to get to via car. They offered bagged breakfasts to go which was really nice. It was within walking distance to the Metro which made it convenient. It was a good alternative to staying in DC which was too expensive at the time of our vacation. Walking distance from Metro. Frequent trains were 20 minutes to Union Station, DC. Lots of restaurants within a couple of blocks. Imax theatre nearby for movies. Lifeguard at the pool was a downer. staff was superior and extreemly friendly and welcoming. it may the stay more relaxing.

I thought the location and overall setup was great but our room was not cleaned nor did we get fresh towels even after a complaint. It was also $15 just to use the internet for less than 4 minutes.

We had a great time & are looking forward to our next stay. The location is perfect & the surrounding area is great, steps away from both an indoor & outdoor mall. Great restaurants & good mix of people.

I was pleasantly surprised, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable, so my sleep turned to slumber. The location was great I was near everything. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful. Most important the staff was great--everyone was courteous and friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone it was great.!!!!

Rooms bigger than Double Tree across the street! 5 elevators so no long waits. Bed was comfortable but 32" tv was a bit small for the room. Staff was very courteous and helpful. I will never was this hotel again! I paid for a king bed and got what they call a king bed and it was a queen bed and was tiled if u do not like it I can leave and the kind of place I would ever use in the future father a 4hr long drive from NYC all we wanted was what we paid for and we did not get that all!!!!!!

The ladies at the check-in desk were very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the presentation and cleanliness of the room. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

My wife and I stayed at the H/I for three nights. The hotel is exceptionally well located for trips into DC and the DC Mall. The Metrorail station is less than 1/2 mile away. A shopping mall is across the street and holds all sorts of restaurants and shops. If you stay here make sure you have breakfast at the Tastee Diner on Cameron Street - a fabulous […] breakfast (order the eggs and corned beef hash) that provides a good dose of local color. Mi Rancho is a great find for Mexican, as well. Breakfast at the hotel was passable, not exceptional, but there was a school group of high school kids that sort of commandeered the food. They weren't upleasant, just being kids. We opted for Tastee Diner. Service at the hotel was prompt and friendly. Parking situation was not what we were led to believe by an earlier review - $12 for every 24-hour period with unlimited in and out. We parked the car for three days - didn't need it. This was my third stay at this hotel and in the beginning this hotel was perfect. Now after having been there three different times I have noticed the quality of this hotel has gone downhill. Air conditioners are way too loud, which make you have to blast the TV volume just to hear it. The shower head seemed to be blocked so water only came out around […] the edges. Not bad if you don't mind having to rinse your hair as you do a little dance to move your head to hit the edges. Coffee in your room is NASTY! The coffee in the lobby is awesome but its a pain to have to get dressed up and go downstairs if all you want is a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. It doesn't seem that old but everything in the room is past its prime. The toilet squealed when flushed, the air conditioner whines when on and the linens are old. Priced good compared to others in the neighborhood but probably worth spending your money elsewhere.

The front desk staff was awesome. Despite being slammed with eager Guns-n-Roses concert patrons checking in to the hotel just before the show, the staffers were cool as ice. The room was clean and spacious, and the location next door to the Fillmore concert hall couldn't be better. Enjoy Silver Spring's revitalized Art Decco district. Wonderful stay at the H.I.- S.S. with 7 grandchildren. BUT, the reservations made on Hotel.com did not have accurate information about a fridge and micro in the room. Disapponting. The Hampton people worked hard to accommodate us.

We felt cramped & the room had an odd smell, almost as if someone had smoked in the Non- smoking room. Have stayed at other Hampton's & were usually fine.

Excellent location for seeing a show at the Fillmore. Great restaurants within walking distance. Hotel pool and hot tub very relaxing. Breakfast was good as well. No complaints.

When arriving at this hotel, you are stuck in traffic and only one place to turn. Once you turn into the hotel, you have no parking. We asked if there was parking other than valet and were told to go around the back of the building. Once arriving at the back of several buildings there was a public parking garage. If you have more than one bag it is […] outragious to try to get back to the front of the building. The only other option is to pay the valet parking of $12.00 and be stuck in your hotel room, unless you want to pay $12.00 every time you want to go somewhere. This hotel was very close to where we were having our premiere. It was one block away from the IMAX theater. There was also an ice skating rink, shopping, and a food district within a block. Hotel staff made our 5-day stay very pleasant.

Convenient for visiting DC area - 20-30min. to the Mall, by car or Metro. Very comfortable, good free breakfast (although the scrambled eggs were pretty dry) - eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels/rolls/toast, cereal/oatmeal, fresh fruits, yogurt - great choices! Splendid hotel and within walking distance of every convenience. VERY friendly staff, and all up to the usual Hampton Inn standards. Well done.

Hotel is in a great location, only a few blocks from public transportation. A shopping mall with eclectic offerings was across the street. Satisfactory dining establishments were in the vicinity. The valet staff was especially cordial. They all seemed to enjoy their work.

Everything was excellent. Minor negatives (very minor) - free breakfast buffet was unimaginative - breakfast area TVs blaring Fox News.

This is the third time staying at this hotel and I will continue to stay here when I come into town. My only complaint this time and only this time was the air conditioner, which was very loud and kept going on and off continuously. This never happened on my previous stays and I will make certain the next time will not be in room 319.

Rooms were very big and comfortable. All staff we encountered were very friendly and polite.

Perfect location for our stay, would stay here again in future.

Had a good stay at Hampton Inn in Silver Spring. Check in and check out were very quick. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean. Would recommend and we will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location to the DC area and close to the metro. The breakfast was also good and plentiful-more that the usual morning breakfast in most hotels. We will stay there again.

the hampton inn silver spring, md was very nice. the valet attendants were very helpfulf and prompt. the facility was very nice. extremely convenient location in relationship to the new fillmore theater. my only complaint was when we arrived for check in i had a pre-paid non-refundable reservation for a room with 2 queen beds( i was traveling with my […] girlfriend and 2 friends). i was informed that all they had available was a room with 1 king. the only compensation they could offer was to provide us with 2 rollaway beds at no charge. other than that i was happy with the stay. would stay again...mainly for the convenient access to the fillmore. I stayed with some coworkers on business. The hotel itself was decent. The location was a short walk to lots of shops and places to eat which was a plus. Valets were very nice but service very slow. The breakfast was sub par and was supposed to stay open until 11am but almost never did. Very spacious room and comfortable. I was disappointed that there was no rereigerator or microwave in the room. Breakfasts were wonderful!

Friendly staff, nice property, great experience!

We tried to check in early on a Saturday, our room was not ready. The desk clerk was accommodating and found us another room. Breakfast service Sunday morning was chaotic, they appeared to be short staffed. There were no napkins, upon asking the manager, she went across the street to the Hilton go get some.
