We spent 6 nights in this hotel. The service is immaculate, friendly and fast ( with sole exception of receiving food at the bar!). The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable. The hotel has a beautiful, large pool with a full spa.The garden bar is lovely, looking out on a large pond. I highly recommend this hotel.

We got an exceptional price for a truly 5-star experience. This place was a perfect match for us. Very high style, very cultured. We loved the wonderful layout of the room; every day we returned to a perfect experience; the cleaning crew even folded cloths for us. Wonderful, warm and responsive hotel staff of highly-trained, genuinely cheerful young […] people. Just all kinds of small touches... the honor bar was all free, the spa was no extra cost and absolutely high end. Room service was instantaneous and very reasonable. Restaurant a sanctuary. The music as you enter is designed to make you feel both masterful and relaxed (how do you do that?). Our first visit to mainland China and we were very reliant upon the hotel to support us with transportation and daily life-- they did a masterful job of advising us and teaching us about Shanghai. The whole concept of an urban retreat/spa is beautifully and uniquely captured in the Puli. My only reservation is writing this review... we'd like to keep the place a secret for ourselves... but it deserves every success. Devamı

I can not say enough good things about this hotel. The staff goes out of their way to meet your every need/request. The rooms like the lobby are beautifully decorated, spacious with bathtubs that look out into the city. The spa and pool are luxurious providing everything (slippers, towels, shampoo, hairdryers) at no extra price. The gym is well-equipped […] and open 24 hrs/day. I was there on vacation but would highly recommend this hotel for business travelers. What a great place to unwind after work! The only negative is that the bar and restaurant is very pricey. I paid $20 for a glass of pino grigio and a hamburger is about $25. It is located in a very upscale neighborhood, so guess that is to be expected. The metro/subway is right outside the hotel which makes it very convenient for touring. Devamı

This is a very smart, cutting-edge hotel that really seems like an oasis just metres from busy Nanjing Street. My room was beautifully appointed and I had a blissful sleep in the very comfy bed after a long flight. The 25 metre pool is wonderful, and there is a very good state-of-the-art gym. The long bar is awesome!

I spend three days staying in Puli for valentine's day. I think the overall service is very good, I really enjoy the hotel room with nice view of city. Since, the hotel provides free drinks in the room, I don't need to worry about drinking's in the room. At the each corner you could find a bottle of water, and in mini bar you could find lots of other […] soft drinks or beers. I would never forget such good hotel room experiences. The only concern is about staffs, they always speak shanghai local dialect..... Devamı

Beautifully designed hotel. One of the best, if not the best, I've ever stayed in. From the moment you arrive into the secluded entrance, to the inclusion of all the cables and cosmetics you could need in the room it's just great. Staff and service is brilliant, and its sat on top of a metro station and next to Jing'an temple. Only remark is that dining […] and service is a little formal at times... This was my fourth time staying at the Puli in the last 4 months. I do a lot of travel in China both pleasure and business and the Puli remains my favorite hotel of all time. The hotel is managed by Urban Resorts who have spent a tremendous amount of time, teaching the staff about the true meaning of the word service. The service in this hotel is amazing. […] It is not the type of intruding service that you find in many 5 star hotels in China, rather it is a very subtle and extremely professional service which makes you feel like you are in a state of complete tranquility. From the moment you pull up at the hotel entrance, through check in to when you get into the room, you feel like you are floating on air. The gym and the swimming pool are superb and once again you feel like you have everything that is required to make you stay pleasant. The hotel has great room service, open minibar with Nespresso coffe machine, snacks and beverages (all free of charge). The views of Jingan Temple (Garden View) are splendid. Location is extremely convenient in walking distance to Nanjing Road and the French concession. I can recommend the restaurant in Jingan Park called Bali Laguna, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Also it is a 10 minute cab ride to the Bund. All in all, a truly exceptional hotel in the middle of Shanghai which beats the other 5 star hotels. Devamı

I have stayed here 3 or 4 times now. This is a great hotel. Unique and very striking architecture and interior design -- modern zen. But the design doesn't get in the way of making this a comfortable place to be -- the lobby lounge (the Long Bar), the outside lounge, and the little library -- are all places that are comfortable to be in. One restaurant on site which is good -- but there are numerous good restaurants within a couple of blocks of the hotel for more variety. Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks with 2 small children in Shanghai. It was truly an oasis to come back to at the end of hectic and hot days around the city. The service was amazing - with many people (English spoken) to help with directions, cabs, recommendations. The pool and spa area are heaven. The pool is a long lap pool with a separate spa area. […] The room was large and every day they refreshed the fruit and mini bar which was all gratis / free. Excellent location next to a shopping mall, large grocery store and two food courts (try Reel next door for good inexpensive meals including the Mexican kiosk!). Also, metro line just at the bottom of the hotel as well. Only small complaint was breakfast is not included in our rate and quite expensive. We went to the Costa or Starbucks (downstairs in Reel) instead. Also a Family Mart small grocery just on the other side of the entrance in the building next store. Devamı

The Puli is a very relaxing hotel after a very hectic work day.. As soon as you walk pass the front door you find your inner zen. The rooms are very spacious and the accomedations are very clean.

This was my 3rd stay here & even after multiple visits I'm still impressed. This hotel has it all but what really sets it apart is the staff. The hotel management are highly visible & engage the customers. If you are looking for a hotel that is consistently excellent in every way, look no further.

My friend and I stayed here for three nights to both celebrate my birthday and for his first trip to China. It was perfect for a relaxing long weekend -- I bet leisure travelers and couples would get more out of the place since it just begs to be hung out in but it definitely can accommodate business. The ambience was amazing, the spa/gym/pool were […] great, the food delicious (great breakfast), free minibar was a nice touch, lots of other amenities. Only drawbacks: they told me that rooms with double beds do not get garden facing rooms -- while the city view overlooks a construction site. I got their signature massage which was good but not great and my friend felt the same about his sports massage. The therapists were nice and earnest but technique could have been better. Overall, we had a great stay. This is a cool, stylish hotel. I cant comment on the facilities as we didnt use them, but in general, all staff members were friendly and helpful, and everything worked as it should. A couple of small negatives - Hotels.com website said the hotel served a complimentary breakfast to all guests. This is not true, so beware […] when booking. There is a Costa in the building next door, but it is closed at the weekend. Also, we were looking directly onto a building site, not a great 'city' view in my mind. The location is convenient, as metro lines 2 and 7 are just a few steps away, and many shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Would happily stay there again. Devamı

I loved everything about my stay here. Free minibar, bowl of apples, beautiful pool and jacuzzi, so modern and well designed, high quality customer service, good location right above a subway stop. I hope I have the opportunity to stay here again, I am in love with this hotel.

Stayed at the Puli several times as a corporate traveller. It is an expensive exercise considering the price of the food as they are super expensive and also the food is very average and do not do justice for the price charged. The hotel staff do not clean your room if you leave the "Do not Disturb"button on accidentally, which is frustrating when […] you return from work and find the room not made. Beautifully finished, stylish hotel in a fantastic location next to Jing'an park and the French Concession. We spent 5 nights at the hotel whilst sightseeing in Shanghai and found the staff, facilities and location to be fantastic. Highly recommended.
