The Pioneer Lodge exceeded my expectations! Awesome location right outside of Zion National Park. Lots of places to eat and shop near the lodge. The best part is the Zion Shuttle picks up right in front of the Lodge, so convenient! The room was nicely decorated with a nice little kitchen. There is also a grocery store about a block away. Way overpaid for this hotel. They claimed pool/hot tub was open from April to October, but it's been down all month. It was the only reason we stayed in this hotel and it was closed. Of course, they didn't tell us this when we were booking though!! My kids were very disappointed. No free breakfast, another disappointment. Doors were LOUD when they slammed […] shut and the walls seemed paper thin as we could hear EVERYTHING from the people around around room. I would choose another hotel if I were you. This is not a good choice at all, especially for the huge amount that they charge. There are several others within a block or two that look much better. Also, this one is not the closest to the entrance of Zion. Management didn't even try to make up for our poor experience. I don't think they care at all. Devamı

Doors slamming, yelling and general commotion from other residence was anoying to say the least.

We visited the Pioneer Lodge during the first week it was open for the 2012 season. The air conditioners did not work and it took us three rooms (over four nights) to find one that did. The room keys also did not work every time, so we had to go to the office every time we wanted to return to our room in order for them to reprogram it. There is considerable […] construction going on next door, and they begin at 7:00 AM and go until around 7 PM. No sleeping in! I had a great experience at this Hotel. The staff were great! I made a mistake with the dates of my reservation and ended up getting there one day early.The manager helped to solve this problem right the way! The hotel is located just a few minutes from the Park. The shuttle stop is just across the street. i have always visited Zion just for the day. Decided to spend a couple days this time and chose Pioneer Lodge. Made two requests online. Early check in and second floor . They were able to accommodate the upper floor only because they were sold out the previous night. Friendly check in. Clean room. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Pool was being prepared for start of tourist season so was out of order. Understandable, but disappointing.

During our trip to Las Vegas, we decided to take a short excursion to Zion National Park. We needed a convenient place to stay for one night, and found Pioneer Lodge on hotels.com. What a delight! Located just outside the park entrance in Springdale, this motel was situated along a quaint strip of unique restaurants and shops. It was very clean and […] had obviously been renovated recently. The heavy wood decor on the interior gives a very "lodgy" feel to the rooms and reminded me of a cabin we had in Denali National Park in Alaska. We had breakfast the next morning at the Pioneer Restaurant attached to the motel, and the food was excellent, with a great variety and good prices- try the spinach, garlic, and feta omelet!! We woke up surrounded by the mountains of Zion National Park, which you couldn't beat after all the flat brown of Vegas. If you're planning a trip to southern Utah, defintely check this out!! Devamı

Early spring break to see Zion. Good value at an outstanding location - we could walk to shops and fun restaurants. The staff was very accommodating to our special needs. They understand service here. We will stay here again.

hotel staff was amazing. almost too accommodating. location couldn't be better. hotel is at the door to Zion and situated among cool little shops and nice restaurants.

I saw great reviews of this place so I was excited to stay there. I was disappointed. When I checked in the front desk ladies were so consumed with complaining about guests that I was barely acknowledged. The room was dark and rattling. The walls are paper thin. There was no rest to be had and I woke up every hour for three nights in a row. To top […] it off, my credit card was charged for someone else's stay the day after I checked out. Oopsie! Excellent position for visiting Zion N P> Very quiet in the winter time. The restaurant was closed but Oscars close by is very good. Room was very comfortable and cosy..

The room had a strange smell when we walked in, but got use to it.

This is a well-maintained facility which was clean and comfortable. Service was very good, the rooms nicely appointed, and the beds comfortable. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable however, and the Wi-fi basically didn't work even after the desk clerk gave me an ethernet cable and said it would solve the problem. Overall experience was very good […] and I would recommend this facility to others (but bring your own pillows and don't count on the Wi-fi working!). Devamı

I think we got our moneys worth here. Rooms were clean but not fancy or modern. I liked the fact that we had a microwave oven in the room. Great location and walking distance from good restaurants.

Not the nicest rooms, kind of ambivalent staff/service, but a decent enough place for the price and unbeatable proximity to Zion National Park. Restaurant is pretty good, but the Cafe Soleil down the street is better.

Hotel was a great choice if you plan to go into Zion. Highly recommend it. Pros: Very clean, great location (seconds away from shuttle stop that takes you into the park), has hot tub & pool. Staff was quite kind and pleasant. Cons: Wi-fi not working, wish staff had more knowledge of Zion Park itself.

We had a reservation for 2 nights and had a very nice cooperative reception. Needed to change and cancel one night. The hotel manager was very cooperative also.

The hotel staff were very nice and the manager went out of his way to rectify a problem when hotels.com reserved the room for me online when the hotel actually had no vacancies.

The staff were very nice and easy to talk to. Our only complaint was that the cleaning persons left our window open all day after cleaning our room, with the drapes also left open. we had oxygen equipment in the room and were very relieved is was not stolen.

Rooms appear to have been recently redecorated. Convenient location for park access. Front desk extremely slow. Food and coffee poor--stay here, but eat somewhere else. No explanation for controls on remote thermostat, and changing programming on it is not at all intuitive. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Very nice place to stay. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The manager even helped me to defrost the windshield. I marked cleanliness as 4 because the carpet was very dirty. Everything else was clean. I would prefer to have free access to the computer as a lodge guest. Staff let me use it free for a short time just to send an email. I stayed there […] 6 nights. In general I would recommend this hotel. Location is also great. No need to use the car. During the season shuttle goes everywhere in Springdale and in the Zion Park. Devamı

This little hotel is theperfect strart or finish to touring Zion and Bryce.. We started at Zion and move east. Fantastic. Very helpful and frendly college age kids running the operation. Good value!

This lodge is in the best location-right outside Zion Nat'l park! It was very clean & has a very friendly staff! Would definitely recommend this place! We'll definitely be back!!! :)

Comfortable accomodations, close to the shuttle into Zion National Park. A little pricey for the amenities, though. No wireless internet in room, no breakfast. But, everything in the area was very expensive...prepare to pay high dollar for even simple meals.

It is very conveniently located near the entrance to the park. This hotel has the nicest people at the front desk. Our reservation had a problem but they more than compensated us for that problem. They were very efficient, friendly and gave us the best service. We were very impressed with their desire to do right by us for the error that was made with […] our reservation. Older motel, but comfortable. Great location.

We really enjoyed the view, the pool and the convenience of a large room with a small kitchen and indoor jacuzzi. Best place to stay in Zion National Park!

Location was great, about 5 minutes from Zion Park. Price quite reasonable. Rooms more than adequate, and located next to very good casual and family friendly restaurant, some shops, and an ice cream and candy store. It is also very close to one of the free shuttles that takes you to the park. Not a 5 star hotel, but no complaints at all.

Overall staff was okay. The room condition was good but the carpets were dirty. We had a 2 night stay but their reservation system did not import the Hotels.com reservation correctly and only recorded 1 night instead of 2. The staff was not experienced enough, and when I called the front desk to let them know it was okay to skip maid service 2 hours […] after check out time the desk clerk didn't even know that our room was supposed to check out according to the system. I worked for a hotel software company and could not understand how you could not know which room was checking out. Also they never once called the room. It wasn't until I was locked out of our room and had to go to the desk, now almost 4 hours after check out time, did they inform me that was supposed to check out. I had to argue with them and lucky I had the email confirmation from Hotels.com to show that I indeed did book for 2 nights. The staff, one who I later found out was related to management and who was the most inexperienced but yet still had the arrogance to tell me I was wrong and never apologized when I proved them wrong, were all very young. Only one staff member, an Asian gentleman, seemed to know how to take charge and was able to defuse the situation. The other girl seemed completely flustered and gave you the deer staring in the headlights look anytime there was a problem. The second issue occurred the morning we checked out. They had a plumbing issue in another room that required our water to be turned off for an hour the evening before. The next day we were getting ready to check out and could not take any showers because there was no water pressure. We took a bird bath since we didn't have time to deal with the issue. I went to the front desk to check out and complain about the water issue. And instead of a show of compassion for our bad experience we were lectured by the family member of the manager and told that the issue was because they were filling up their pool which was out of o Devamı

The Pioneer staff and lodge where wonderful! My mother, 3 nieces and I traveled to Zion for the first time last week. Not knowing anything, the desk clerk, took his time talking to me and telling me all about the park. Our room was perfect, comfy beds, clean pool, close to everything in town. I would definetly go back!

The AC doesn't work. But we get a very generious discount of the rented room and the hotel management excused this discomfort.

We were very pleased with Pioneer Lodge - the staff was exceptional - very helpful with suggestions for activities. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean - had everything we needed - pool and hot tub and perfect all around views of the mountains = would definitely recommend this lodge and the nearby restaurant - the people were raving over […] the delicious muffins in the coffee shop.
