Very nice hotel / restaurant / bar / shop, popular with the walkers. Rooms a little small and could do better with the removal of cobwebs from the fixtures and fittings. The staff were excellent though and the restaurant serves excellent food.

Nice location, good area for walking (not too strenuous). The Black Swan is is excellent, beautifully restored by current owners from its previous state and extremely comfortable, Bar has good beers (according to the husband) and the food which can be eaten in bar or restaurant is fantastic quality. We had one of the best meals we,ve ever had. with […] locally sourced produce. the staff are so friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble for them. A really lovely break and very pleasant staff. The food was great and they accommodated my family who were visitng in the evening at a pre booked dinner including 2 children at quite short notice. Very homely feel and good value for money, wonderful breakfast !

We loved this hotel. My husband rated the cask beers as excellently well kept. We loved the food, tasty and plenty of it. Breakfast lovely too. Regards the 4's for the room instead of 5's, the bed side table was a bit dusty and we prefer a shower rather than a bath with a shower head attachment. Other than that the hotel was excellent, the location […] fantastic with a booklet and map available at reception to enable you to do 9 different walks in the area of varying lengths. Staff polite friendly and welcoming. Room adequate bed comfortable and clean although a few cobweds around bedroom ceiling staff apologetic and happy to remove cobwebs. Bathroom in need of modernisation floor and bath not particulary clean. Appreciated complimentary toiletries. Really friendly, great food, and a lovely setting, with plenty of short or long walks in a handy little booklet published by the hotel itself. A nice homely feel to the rooms, not like the sterile generic hotels we encountered elsewhere. They have a sweet little stream outside, a nice pub garden and some red squirrels that we couldn't find... next time. […] Definitely going to visit again. Devamı

We found this hotel on Hotel.com - our expectations were more than met when we arrived in this beautiful village and entered a very cosey and friendly bar. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the beers and food were excellent. The room, as the rest of the hotel, was warm and cosey, with subtle lighting, a real fire in the snug sitting room […] and and excellent menue. A perfect place to stay. Room 15 (4 poster with fireplace and an amazing bathroom) was the best room we have every stayed in. The owners and staff are very friendly and the food was perfect. We couldn't rate them more highly, and want to visit again as soon as possible.

This Hotel is worth the trip, it is a great part of England and the owners have transformed this hotel into a very welcome and inviting place, the staff were very accommodating to all your needs and the restaurant was great, breakfast was very filling. Would recommend it to all that were thinking to stay there

The Black Swan is a delightful little hotel and pub in a beautiful setting. We spent 1 night there with our friends and had a fantastic time. We booked to eat in the resturant and the food was superb - couldn't comment on the sweet menu as we were all too full to even look! On arrival we were told we were being upgraded to one of the suites so we could […] be in a room next to our friends.
