Overall this is a fairly nice hotel. The rooms are small, in boutique fashion, but very clean and modern. It's just a little too far from the best parts of downtown to be a great hotel. I'd stay again for the price but plan to be in and out without the downtown experience. Pros: nice room, modern decor, good shower pressure (a personal pet peeve). Cons: […] the neighbourhood leaves much to be desired (unless you want to hit the strip clubs), not easily within walking distance to decent restaurants, the shower was a bit small (wouldn't want to be more than 6', 250 lbs. I really enjoyed my stay, I would definitely stay there again the next time I visit Montreal. The Hotel does not have their own parking lot but there is a public parking lot just across from the hotel (for a fee). But overall the hotel is great, clean and comfy, and a big plus is its location. Shopping, Night life, Tourist Must-Sees are all just around […] the corner. China Town is just across the street too. Oh and the Metro is very close by as well, so you can quickly and easily reach other parts of beautiful Montreal. Devamı

this was my second stay at the hotel - love the trendy NYC boutique hotel style - well appointed and comfortable rooms - friendly staff - definitely a preferred hotel.

Very pleasant stay at Hotel Zero 1. Very chic, very modern design and furnishing. Staff was excellent, room was in great condition. I can see the black walls and ultra-modern, pseudo-industrial interior turning off some people but I loved it. Not the greatest location if you're a tourist as the area of St-Laurent that it's in is a little rough and no […] key tourist attractions are nearby. That being said, if you know the city, have a car or are fine with taking the subway it's fine. Great hotel for a younger demographic, probably not the best place for those 40+. Devamı

This hotel was beautiful, chic, eco-friendly and very clean. I usually only stay in 5 star hotels and needed to down scale with this rough economy. I was very pleased. It felt like a modern studio apartment. The only issue for me was the dim lighting at all times. I am turning 40 soon and my eyes are not what they once were. LOL My 12 year old daughter […] was thrilled that it was environmentally friendly. The hotel is in walking distance to Old Montreal, China Town and St. Catherine Street (for shopping and restaurants). Baton Rouge on St. Catherine is an excellent restaurant. This is a handy hotel with easy access to transit services, old montreal and the underground system. The room was clean and comfortable. The rooms are small but everything worked well. Did I mention that the room was small. The bathroom was even smaller. This is not the type of place to try and sneak in 2 extra kids to sleep on the sofa. It won't happen. […] As an individual or couple looking for a neat place to get away this is a good stop. Only valet parking is available. When in Montreal I typically rent a car. The extra charge for the valet service is substantial. On the flip side you are close to the metro which works very well. Devamı

terrible, terrible staff

This was a great deal. The rooms are very very small, felt like we were in Europe. But for the price couldn't go wrong. Montreal is such a great city that if you plan to be out of the room often this is a great hotel to stay at. We went for a business trip - this was an ideal hotel for our purposes. This was a quiet, comfortable hotel in an excellent postion in Montreal. It was so easy to catch the express bus back to the airport with all our luggage as the stop was only a few metres away. There are two metro stations a few minutes walk away. The hotel is ultra modern providing all necesseties to make an enjoyable stay. Coffee, orange and muffins […] are provided foc each morning. Only complaint is that on both mornings the coffee had run out and it took far too long to be sorted. (It appeared that non guests were helping themselves to the coffee!) Devamı

This room was excellent. Small and cozy and very modern! Our only concern was how we can hear the water running from the top floors in between our walls. But apart from that, it was lovely :)

A very good reno job has turned this hotel into the chic equivalent of an Asian business hotel. I got a discount by booking three nights and at this price, the hotel was an exceptional bargain. (At the full price, it is much smaller than what you would expect.) Black walls notwithstanding, the standard room was cozy, clean, with an oh-so-comfy king-size […] bed. What really stood out was the attention and care paid to the details, from the folding of the towels and linen, to the display of toiletries; the provision of a microwave, clean cutlery, bottle opener, and free muffins and coffee in the morning were also appreciated. Yes, the room and bathroom is small but it's all wonderfully organized. I'm going to echo the advice of others and suggest that you request a room on a higher floor (there are twelve) and request a southward view (of the Old Port). It is a ten minute walk to the Notre Dame cathedral, 15 to Scandinave de baines, and one and a half blocks from Complex Desjardins. Yes, it's right next to the seedy side of St. Laurent but I've always found this area to be amusingly tacky rather than dangerous. Devamı

Hotel was comfortable, 'modern chic' without being too overdone. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, rooms are quite small, but well planned out. Room and bed were clean, firmer mattress than I prefer, but pretty nice. Great location, just outside of china town and a 5 minute walk from Old Montreal Port area. Parking across the street is a bit questionable […] but the hotel offers valet parking at an underground garage at a reasonable price and were very prompt about bringing the car. Hotel Zero is easy to get to. Valet parking is a the only way to go if you have a car. Free internet is easy and fast. My room had a concealed kitchenette. It was quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was cool. Located half way between old Montreal and the restaurants on St. Laurent it worked out well. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Very modern and trendy, very nice staff, but has an unfinished look in certain areas, noitcably the elevator with dented doors, carpet that seems "temporary", etc... Other note, you can't be in a hurry to get your car if you opted for valet parking... Plan 30 minutes ahead!

very chic and convenient, and very montreal we thought. brand new, so it's hard to tell how they will do delivering certain amenities... during our stay the exercise room was small but comfortable with a great view, while the so-called business center had but one functioning computer.

We stayed at Hotel Zero One because we were attending a conference at the very nearby Palais des Congres. The hotel was extremely convenient, and the 747 bus that goes from the airport to the center of Montreal stops just across the street (and allows you unlimited bus and metro rides the same day!) But the room was very large, and equipped with refrigerator, coffee maker, a microwave, and even dishes and silverware. This is a medium sized hotel (164 rooms, I believe), which makes it far less impersonal than the huge chain hotels. The staff was consistently very friendly and helpful for everything. The rooms in this hotel are swanky, lovely and spotless. I love the style and amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee pot, wireless, etc). The hallways are little dark and creepy and the hotel is so new that it lacks a bar or restaurant (and room service). Beds were amazingly comfortable - we were on the 10th floor, it was VERY quiet - not a peep heard! Gym was small but nice view. Great location, front desk staff lovely and accommodating. Newly designed. Wireless worked really well.

Had a great time! convenient location!!! walking distance to everything downtown...it is downtown so if you plan on going make sure to walk with direction to avoid few homeless ppl...other than that the hotel is magnificent and staff was super friendly!! thank you thank you Lise, Chantel, Natalie :D

We loved this hotel and hope to go back again. As long as you are not a prude, the area around the place is not so bad. The location overall is great and central to everything. I wish they would replace the coffee and muffins with espresso and croissants:)

Really a great hotel. Rooms have a modern funky decor - black walls so find the light switch! Staff very helpful. The street to the North is a little run down but I never felt unsafe and the location generally is pretty good, close to the Place des Arts and several Metro stations.

We had a great stay at Hotel Zero. Our room was small but very well-appointed. The rooms were very quiet and we thought we must be the only people on our floor...we were not. The location was great and we could walk to Old Montreal, to restaurants, to Chinatown and to clubs. We will stay here again!

I go to Montreal every other week and this is a great hotel to stay at! The bed was so comfortable I did not wake up once in the middle of the night. This room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was polite, accommodating and completely bilingual. The location is on the edge of Chinatown and not far to walk to other attractions such as the Montreal Contemporary Art Museum and Place des Arts shopping/dining. As a single woman traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Nice rooms with modern style. Radio has iPod dock which is great for charging iPhone without adapters etc. No breakfast available yet as the restaurant does not open until late 2011 but they do give free coffee, fruit and muffins. clean ,modern ,close to everything and nice staff.

The hotel is sleek and a clean place to stay. It is within walking distance of St Catherine shops and the Village. The immediate neighborhood is not super nice, but not bad. The hotel is very low maintenance and no nonsense. The rooms are on the smaller size but comfortable.

I got one of the tiny rooms and it was small but very cool (in a designery sort of way). The halls were dim (but that seemed to be the norm in the other 2 hotels we stayed in both montreal and quebec, which made me think that it's some sort of energy efficient policy that's now in vogue in so many cities). I can't wait till they get the restaurant downstairs. […] My room was compact, and for the very little money that I was charged, the hotel was a great deal. I couldn't stay the entire week in this hotel so I had to go to a different hotel the later part of the week. Similar designer like room for more than double the price! My husband and I stayed here in mid-October. Hotel has very friendly and accomodating staff; hotel is attached to 24 hour convienence store (sold everything including alcohol). Hotel is located across the street from Chinatown, makes for a good dinner location (did not eat there, but ordered carryout). I thought that the hotel and staff were great. The rooms are clean, modern and functional; the front desk staff and other service staff, without exception, were charming and helpful. I was there on business and used the free internet every day and had no problems at all. If I were forced to mention any down side, the rooms are rather dark, and could […] benefit from a desk light for those visitors who need to work and read. Also, it would be good to get a good news channel (eg: BBC News 24) to complement the collection of rubbish pap TV on offer. I did have a bit of trouble with the air con, which seemed to stop working; the front of house staff sent someone to sort it out immediately (but it did recur). The hotel is in an area which is on the boundary of a rather less salubrious quarter; on one evening, I planned to take the 'Lonely Planet' walk up to the Latin Quarter, and turned back after a couple of blocks, as it was clearly rather dodgy. As in any town, you just need to use your head when choosing where to go: I felt no anxiety walking alone (I am female) at night up from the Old Town or Downtown. Devamı

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Zero 1 this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived early in Montreal (we were expecting much more traffic) but the hotel had our room ready almost 2 hours early and let us check in! Very unexpected but very nice. They valet parked our car right away, and the young woman at the front desk gave me a map […] and a run down of all the things that were walking distance in the area. She was extremely kind despite my butchering of the French language. I wanted to try to speak the native language, but they all spoke English anyway. I described to her the type of places where we would like to eat, and she gave me the names, addresses, and directions to numerous places that were all fabulous, tasty, and exactly what we wanted. All of the front desk agents were extremely sweet and very helpful. The room is on the smaller side, but clean and modern and had more than we needed for just 1 night (a cutting board, coffee pot, wine and water glasses, cutlery, plates, a microwave, small sink and a mini-fridge!) The window faced the beginning of Chinatown, which wasn't much during the day but at night looked pretty as you had a nice view of Montreal all lit up. I would absolutely, without a doubt stay here again. So centrally located - great bang for your buck! Devamı
