The walk from Riem S-bahn station to the hotel is on a nice, green path. There is not much to do around the hotel but we didn't mind it. We went to Munich for Oktoberfest and found this hotel very convenient in terms of location. Also, the hotel serves great breakfast with a rich open buffet. We made the rezervation 3 months in advance and when we went to the hotel we thought the rate we already paid included the breakfast. So four of us ended up having breakfast twice. While checking out, it turned out that the rate did not include the breakfast (21 Euro per person). I asked the lady staff if she can make us a discount as we were not aware of the situation when we had the breakfasts. Fortunately, she agreed to give us two of the 8 breakfasts for free :) It was our fault not checking if the breakfast was included, but she still helped us with this. We appreciate it a lot! Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, did not have any problems.

Once you get to the subway, you can change at Scheid station and reach to MarionPlatz, which is the city center. It is a spacious nice hotel. The staff are really very nice and helpful. The restaurant and the bar are really chique. For example, I asked for a silent room with a nice view, and got it. The only issue was that the room was smelling smoke. So please remember to also remind a non-smoking room if you are a non-smoker.

"Great location / value in Munich"
The location is amazing - right next to the central train station. This was a 10 minute walk from the central city and just a few minutes from the train station. The room can be a bit loud but the bed was reasonably comfortable and it was nice to have a small kitchenette in the room. "Very convenient to centre of munich"
For a short break this hotel is great. Service is good and the Vi Vadi italian restaurant right next door is excellent. It is located just a short 10 min walk to the centre of munich. We chose this hotel based on past reviews and its proximity to the train station. The rooms are decent, but the pillows are only feather and they have no other options for those allergic to feathers. The room was quite hot and stuffy (no fans, no temperature control), and we stayed in April, so I can't imagine how it would be in the summer. "Close to HBF in Munich"
I chose this hotel since it was the closest one to the Munich HBF central station that offered a triple room. It was also close to the city center, which was a bonus for siteseeing and shopping. There was no breakfast included, but bake shops and restaurants in the neighborhood or you can use the kitchen in the room. The tea kettle was nice for coffee […] in the morning. Reception was friendly and checkin was fine, room was clean. The room was a little bit small for 3 but workable for 2 nights. The bath was small and only large enough for one person at a time. My only small complaint is housekeeping started to clean our room, left, and returned about an hour later to finish cleaning -- I'm not sure where they went or why since she only spoke German. I liked the room (has a kitchenette), and the location. It is perfect for an overnight and extended stay, if you do not care about seeing the city from your hotel room. We stayed here for two nights as we were traveling to Austria. The hotel is about three blocks from the main train station (hauptbahnof) and an easy walk as long as you dont have a ton of luggage. The staff were very helpful and spoke great english. Hotel is older but clean and stylish. Rooms were also clean and bed was comfortable. "Don't understand the high rating."
The room was ok, the flatscreen TV, bed & bedding seemed new, the bathroom was older, and not so clean due to age. There were ugly shelves as well as a tiny kitchenette with some dishes, and a fridge with sodas. Hotel seems to cater to extended stay business travelers. Hallways and front desk area were not kept up, completely devoid of any charm, it […] was as if staying in an office building. Anyone can enter the building without having to pass by the front desk, which seemed odd from a safety standpoint for this single female traveler. Once we found the hotel it was good value for a one night stay. Directions from the railway station (including landmarks and which exit to use from the main station) would be useful. Front door was locked on arrival (it was 22.150 but night porter soon arrived and checked us in. This is a good hotel, however if you want a hotel lounge and bar experience you won't get it here, however the kitchen facility in the room was excellent. I was expecting a hotel, but this seemed more like a hostel. The clientele consisted of loud, drunk backpackers and football fans. While, checking out, I saw a pair of scantily-clad, old women who were probably "working women". "Near main train station"
The location of the hotel was the main selling point. It is very near to the main train station which has extensive transport connections. Good as a base if one is travelling within and around Munich or even other parts of Germany. The room is quite spacious with a kitchenette. While there was a stove, there was no pan or pot to cook with. The boiled […] water from the electric kettle had a layer of powdery substance which tasted funny. It was the same situation in the 2 different rooms that I stayed in. I don't know whether it was the water or the kettle that was the problem. The rooms were reasonably comfortable. "Good location, nice staff"
The room was small but the layout was well planned-out, clean, the kitchenette was very useful and the staff was friendly. The location was great, only 3 blocks from the Central Station, close to the side of the station where the airport shuttle bus stopped. "Nice, comfortable hotel"
We stayed two nights in Vi Vadi recently and enjoyed the hotel. The room was clean and very big compared to Europe standards (room 31). It had a small balcony that overlooked the garden so was quiet in the morning if you wanted to sleep in. And after a night at the Hofbrau house sleeping in is important! "Hidden Gem!!"

"Great centrally located hotel"

"Nice area to stay, close to the train station."
A nice clean room. Bedroom area with computer desk was a good size with small balcony and an LCD with plenty of channels. Room had a kitchenette and could come in quite handy for an extended stay. "Convenient but Noisy"
Except for the street noise (which I was warned of in reviews) I was very satisfied with this hotel. It was within walking distance of the train station and to many points of interest. Especially nice were the kitchen facilities. Because the weather was warm when we were there and there is no A/C, we had to leave windows open, thus the noise. If windows […] are closed, no problem with noise. The lobby is locked at 10 pm with no attendants but room key will give you access to hotel. Overall, a good hotel for the money. "Great overnight stopover - close to station"
I booked this hotel as it was close to the main railway station - 5 mins walk - and the bus station as well. The staff were helpful with directions and a recommendation to a nearby beer hall which turned out to be enjoyable with good food. The room was comfortable, roomy and clean and being near the railway, the hotel is also near the historic part […] of Munich.
