Rosedale Inn - Pacific Grove

I had never been to Pacific Grove before. The location was in a good place as far as being near to things. We still chose to drive to the downtown and along the beach drive because it was a bit far, but it would be a nice walk. The place was spacious and quiet and nice. This place needs a good fixing up, which it appears to be slowly getting. Unfortunately, we were in an older room. The only fixture in the room not from the 70's was the flat screen tv. No pool or spa. Nothing special to the grounds. Of course, Pacific Grove and the surrounding area are gorgeous, so sleep here and get out and explore. Walking distance […] to Fishwife, for a great seafood dinner. Short drive south to Point Lobos State Reserve, for some beautiful hiking. Don't miss either of these. Devamı

We loved our stay here. Really close by to Cannery Row and the 17 Mile Drive. The only problem we encountered that breakfast was included but they were remodeling the area and what was offered was just fruit and danish in the reception area. We would stay again!

We were there 3 times before and really liked our stay this time wish we told they were remoddling and there was no breakfast as in previous stays. This was a dissapointment, The tub plug didn't work so you had to use a stopper that really didn't fit .The first time they were really good we had our room upgraded this time I was just not impressed with […] service,They shuold have taken at least 20% off the bill for the lack of the breakfast and things not in the best of conditioon. We came to celabrate our 36th anniversary. I do'nt think we will stay again unless we get a great deal on the room. Devamı

The accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The service was pleasant and helpful. The location was close to restaurants, shopping, and scenic drives.

We spent a very lovely few days at this Inn. Very close to the beach and the Monarch butterfly sanctuary. A bit disappointed with the maintenance of our room, leaking sink, missing dishes, and had to request coffee packets for the first night. Most items were addressed immediately and with a smile.

We were very pleased with the location and the exterior appearance of this hotel. There were some issues, however. Primarily, the built-in gas heater wouldn't work. Instead of repairing the heater or moving us to another room, they brought us an electric space heater for the night. We had an upgrade to a suite. I wouldnt class it as luxury but it was large

The room was nice, however the T.V. was not hooked up upon arrival and there was a broken chair leg in our room that was never replaced, even though we asked about it. Also after about 10 minutes after we arrived there was a message blinking about a problem with my CC, when it had already been paid through hotels.com (Thank-you). When the guy came in […] to fix the T.V. he apologized saying that was left for the last people that were there. The bed was comfortable, jacuzzi in the bathroom was nice, loved the fireplace, refrigerator, microwave and sink. The sink in the bathroom appeared to low. Also, I asked the manager when the continental breakfast room would be open and he replied at 6:30. We got there at 7:20 and it said it didn't open till 8:00. The 2nd day they never left us any towels after cleaning up the room, my husband had to leave the room to go and get some. I did enjoy the rustic area though and the fact that the Asilomar Beach was within a 5 minute walking distance. Other than those minor issues, we would stay there again. Devamı

Needs considerable maintenance.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast is nothing to get excited about. Fireplaces were simple, push button and you have a flame. A little short on towels in the bathroom. Location is great, Asilomar Beach is a nice short walk away. No Pool, Spa, Sauna. Just a room. Clean.

The room was nice but the toilet seat was broke and we were not able to get it fix for our stay. Also someone left a water bottle in the refrigerator which means it brings the cleaning in question. Overall it was ok.

Rosedale Inn is perfect with only ten minutes walk to a fantastic beach. The Inn consists of a series of one-level houses which are of older date. The rooms are clean but a little dark, the fireplace is fake and it's a little useless Jacuzzi tub. However, it is fine with a refrigerator and microwave in the room. There was no immediate exciting restaurants […] in the area. Breakfast is very simple and boring. Very limited selection. We bought the room through hotels.com for 2 adults and one kid (7 years), but when we came the room only one small bed and they had no extra beds. We had to pay 20 $ extra. The Rosedale Inn was quite a pleasant find. It is located in a very peaceful section of Pacific Grove where you can walk to the ocean within minutes and even take the walkway past Spanish Bay and onto 17-mile drive. The Fishwife restaurant is also within walking distance. The Pacific Grove golf course is within a 5 minute drive, and Cannery Row and […] the Monterey Bay Aquarium are 10 minutes or less away. Review: This venue was generally pretty decent, primarily for its location. It is an older property in the woods, but no serious complaints about the room itself. Our room had a fireplace (gas log), but maintenance had to come to light the pilot. The bathroom window needed a curtain, and the tv was exceptionally difficult to operate. Besides that though, we loved the inn and the area. Walking to the ocean is always a plus, and the doe and two bambis resting on the lawn outside our room in the afternoon were a nice touch.

The staff were all pleasant and friendly and accomodating. We were not able to get into our room at 3pm----it wasn't ready. Couldn't actually get in until 5:30p.m. We had things to do so it didn't cause us a problem and when it was time to check out we were allowed to take longer. I would stay there again. Everything was great except the service, there was a middleaged female on the computer the whole day instead of answering calls from rooms. The continental wasn't great, there was cereal, coffee, and yogurt. It's still a nice place but it needs some updating with the brass needing to be changed over to stainless steel since there was corrosion in the […] shower/jaccuzi tub. But the tub worked nicely, the hairdryer was a 10+. Also the fireplace is really dim and kind of smells like mold when you first run it. The bed was a little too firm for my tastes, along with the pillows but the linen was divine! Devamı

This place was amazing. For the price and the location it was great. Room had a fire place and a jacuzzi tub. The outside looked great and the office people were super nice. I will for sure stay here again while passing through.

It was very quite and close to the beach. The room was cozy with the fireplace and hot tub. Deer pass through and the surrounding neighborhood is very plush with plants and trees. There was fridge and microwave in the room which was nice as the location is only with in walking distance to one restaurant .

Quaint, clean, and welcoming. Loved the fireplace, bed was comfortable, and though we didn't use it, the popcorn for the microwave was a nice touch. We would return!

This is a gem! The room was really nice, bed comfortable, great extras - nice little sitting area with fireplace, microwave, frig, jacuzzi tub. The continental breakfast was awful, but that wasn't that important to us. Terrific value. We'd definitely stay again!

Was terrific except that the heater did not work. Fortunately, there was an extra blanket in the closet, but it as a pretty chilly night.

The location was fantastic, but next time I would stay somewhere else. I found the price to be expensive for the size of the room (and smell - old building). At least a free breakfast was provided, but that doesn't say much... A refrigerator and microwave was provided, but the coffee maker was dirty and we did not use it. This was a good place to stay in the Pacifica/Monterey area. Room and bed were comfy, place was very clean and kept up, and the fireplace worked like a treat. We will definitely stay there again when in the area.

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my wife's birthday. The weather was perfect and the ocean was close so we enjoyed walking the coastline. Our best part was sitting on the beach and having wine and cheese, seeing the waves crashing on the rocks. Sea otters entertained us. Great location. Quiet spacious location right near the beach for an early morning swim. Friendly staff and nice room.

After a long drive, it was refreshing to arrive at the Rosedale Inn. The outside buildings look like cabins, but the rooms are very modern and tastefully decorated. The fireplace works even though I didn't need it. The bed was huge and so comfortable. It would be nice to have a bigger cover for the drain in the jacuzzi in the room. The water kept draining […] so the jets sprayed water. It was still a great tub without jets for a bath. It was a really quiet, safe place with friendly staff. The hotel was located only 10 minutes from the aquarium. I had requested for the room to be decorated for my husband and at check-in the room was ready. My husband was pleasantly suprised. When you stood outside you could hear the ocean. The Asilomar State Beach was only a 3 to 5 minute walk through another property. The room was spacious. While this inn's location is unbeatable (a short walk to the ocean), there were a few things that left us feeling less than wholly enthusiastic about our stay there. For starters, the fireplace (certainly lovely) was practically non-functional. And during the chilly late-December days/nights, a robust fire that actually generates warmth (as opposed […] to one that's all appearance) is an absolute must. The staff was nice about retrieving and sending us a couple articles of clothing we forgot in our room. However, despite our specific instructions regarding method of shipping and costs, the package was sent by overnight...resulting in a charge of $90!!! Stayed at one of their suites and was very impressed. Comfortable bed and a spa bathtub were just part of the experience. No road noise since the Inn is situated right by Asilomar rather tha a down town location and it is very near to the ocean so we heard the waves at night.

This is a very nice, family run inn located walking distance (10 minute walk) from Asilomar state beach. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've found when traveling. That is the thing I'm pickiest about because I usually can't sleep in strange beds, but this one was great. The room had a gas (not wood) fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub. It was close to ocean and restaurants. Woodsy surroundings, service was friendly and gracious.

We usually stay in the hotels closer to Cannery Row, but never will again. Our experience at the Rosedale Inn was wonderful, and began with great customer service at check in. Then as I went to the car and the wife walked to our cabin-like room a deer appeared and started feeding, with my wife was no more than six feet from the deer and he did not seem […] to care in the least. This Inn is in a small grove of trees that make it seem as though you are in the forest. The room was great with a microwave, mini-fridge, sink, and even place settings for two. All this and the beach is within easy walking distance, 17 mile drive is just around the corner, and it is a nice scenic drive along the coast to Cannery Row. Devamı
