Best Point Hotel - İstanbul

My husband and I stayed at the Best Point for three nights in Istanbul. Overall we had a fabulous time and highly recommend the hotel. We did have a slight travel snafu, I had requested the airport pickup and sent my flight information which apparently they did not receive (we verified this by both pulling up our emails and I could plainly see they […] never received our itinerary). They were more than happy to accomodate us however and the owner sent us back to the airport in his personal car free of charge. The staff in general could not be more helpful, they were extremely welcoming and would bring you anything you wanted or requested within reason. Anything non-alcoholic was free of charge. They also had a great breakfast included in the room and free wi-fi which is a must for us when we're traveling without our son. The room itself was nice but nothing particularly special. The bathroom was nice and modern and had a jacuzzi tub, which unfortunately didn't work. The room didn't have a trash can, which was kind of annoying always having to traipse to the bathroom, nor did it have a clock. Minor annoyances but things we noticed nonetheless. As for location, it was down the hill, 60-90 second walk to the hippodrome and courtyard between hagia sophia and blue mosque. We felt safe the entire time. We definitely recommend staying there it was a great deal for the money and near all the tourist attractions in the old city. We will probably be back! Devamı

Set in a colorful interesting old district with lots to see and buy, this hotel offers excellent service, attractive rooms, a lavish breakfast and monogrammed sheets for a reasonable price.

Enjoyed the hotel, location was great but the staff really make the difference. They serve tea in the lobby and are always genuinely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Excellent stay for almost 2 weeks. The owner is a fabulous host. The rooms are a bit small but inexpensive. Breakfast is superb. The staff will get you anything you anywhere in Istanbul. Five stars in my book.

Very happy with the hotel and employees of the hotel. They were very nice and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was very good.

The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but we had no intention to spend much time in our room. The breakfast is more than adequate, although after 3 or 4 days it might get a bit tedious, some variation would be nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful (as everywhere in a Turkey I believe). It's a nice small hotel. I liked the breakfast. Location is very good - just few minutes walk from Sultans Harem, Sophia Mosque, Blue Mosque, etc.

This hotel was 5 minute walking distance from the spice bazaar, blue mosque, haga sophia, new mosque, and it was surronded by small shops that are much cheaper than the grande bazaar. The staff at best point made our trip they were so helpful and so friendly and available any time we needed them. The owner guided in the best dining and got us discounts […] for tour buses that showed us both european and asian sides of istanbul. The rooms were a bit small but was very authentic and clean.However we only used the room to sleep at night. Free coffee and turkish delights are always available. They had a wide variety of authentic breakfast items. the Mcdonalds was a 10 minute walk and was open very late. The heating in the room was not as sufficient as we would have liked it to be but gradually increased through our stay. The hotel was extremely pleasant and the staff very helpful. The location is perfect for the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar.

Best Point Hotel (BPH) has three 'treasures': 1) location - strategically located if you are a turist who wants to enjoy the key monuments; 2) 'breakfast lady' - who prepares abundant and tasty breakfasts; some of the dishes are nice way to learn about the Turkish cusine; 3) BPH staff - you are guest and BHP staff treats your with the oriental hospitality, […] i.e. they help you, support you, defend you. On the other side: 1) rooms are rather small - but if you are in Istanbul, you want to walk the city, not to be in a room; 2) there is no elevator and the staircase is steep. Location, cleanliness and price--the only things important to me when staying at hotel abroad. This hotel had them all. Located down the street from the Blue Mosque (less than 5 min walk) it was a great location. However, due to the proximity to the Mosque, the 6am call to prayer is unbelievably loud. Quite an experience. During the off season (Dec […] '11), prices were great. We paid extra to be upgraded to an upstairs room. Not sure if that was really necessary but the room was fine. It was small (2 twins) but adequate, clean and well kept. The bathroom was surprisingly modern, also very clean. There is free wifi thru out the hotel--awesome! Room rates included free Turkish breakfast every morning served downstairs. If I went back, I'd skip the free breakfast and get pastries from restaurants (cheap and tasty!) This is my third time stay and i really liked it and i would stay in it again and again. Fantastic service and friendly staff, so i recommend it to you guys

This hotel is a short walk from The Blue Mosque and Sultanhamet and is conveniently located in a cluster of other hotels and restaurants and a small bazaar market. The heater in my room did not work, but I never asked to see if I might be doing something wrong. The rooftop terrace has some nice views and the staff is friendly. This was the cheapest hotel I could find in Sultanahmet so I wasn't expecting much. But it was great! Helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast, nice beds, clean rooms/showers. I highly recommend.

We booked the Economy room, but was lucky to be upgraded to Standard room. There is limited space in the room as it is quite small. The breakfast is good. It is quite a distance to walk from the hotel to the nearest tram station at Sultanahmet. About 15 mins walk. Very centrally located. Great roof-top with views of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Marmara Sea. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We were delighted with our stay in this hotel and will be back. Great location, an absolutely great staff - helpful, friendly and welcoming. Very clean place. Rooms are a bit small - but vey comfortable. Breakfast terrace is great with view of the ocean and lovely breeze.

We stayed at the Best Point Hotel for 4 nights. We were upgraded to a Deluxe room at check-in. Our entire stay with this hotel was great. The room was very clean, extensive buffet breakfast and the hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. It is in a great location as well, with easy walking distance to major sights. I highly recommend this hotel.

Once you find the Best Point Hotel (can be a little difficult), it is a great place to stay. It is a short walk to the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. The hotel staff goes out of their way to accommodate you. I arrived at 2 am after a late flight from Italy, and the owner met me personally when I arrived. Hi there- My girlfriend and I had a very nice 4 night stay at the Best Point Hotel in early July. The staff were all very welcoming. The hotel is nice and clean. We stayed in roon 101, which had a king bed and nice private patio. The shower leaked but there was a drain in the bathroom floor so wasn't a problem. I selected this hotel primarily on price point but was very pleasantly surprised to find that its quite a nice little boutique hotel. The service was great and the staff made some great reccomendations on how to use my limited time in Istanbul. The hotel is not too bad, but a thing really bothered us is the first day we checked in, a hotel staff tried to sell us a tour guide"SHE". We were very uncomfortable with that, he can recommend the tour but he should not have acted like a salesman. When we rejected him, I can see the dissapointment on his face. I suppose he must receive commission!

We have now stayed twice at the Best Point Hotel, and it was even better the second time. The staff are wonderful, and the food great. This is the very best location for every important site in Istanbul.

Pros: Great Location, friendly staff, clean rooms and a good price for all the above. Cons: rooms a little small but at the price I plaid I'm not actually complaining.

We stayed for 3 nights. The location is superb- the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the Grand Bazaar are all within walking distance. this is a great conveniently located hotel. the staff is kind and accommodating. they all obviously like people. we spoke no Turkish and they went out of their way to teach us the essentials. Sadly, we never caught on, but we gave it the old college try, and they never gave up on us.

Best Point lived up to its reputation, true to all of its previous excellent reviews! Great - service, comfort, location.We spent seven nights ,and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Exactly what you would hope a mini hotel would be: no tour groups, local color, personalized service, interested staff.

Recently stayed with a friend for a couple of days sightseeing. Very convenient location super close to Blue Mosque. Very clean, safe, charming area. Service was excellent and room very charming. Very happy to have stayed at Best Point.

Small, but very good hotel, closed to Sultanahmet square, in the heart of Istanbul easy to access airport and others places through metro. Front desk are in charge of the hotel owner, a young guy really commited with the guests satisfation. We really recommend.

Great little hotel, about a 35 Trk Lire taxi ride from the Airport. located in a quiet area of Sultanamet where all the tourists want to be in Istanbul. Close to shopping, tram, buses and seawall for a morning walk, great restaurants one block away. Owner and staff where very helpful, most spoke english well enough to assist in everything. I loved staying at the Best Point -- it was clean and bright, breakfast was great, and most importantly, the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful...I will definitely stay there again!

We booked a vip taxi from the airport with the hotel prior to our arrival we were left waiting for one hour and ended up getting a taxi from the rank outside .the hotel wanted to charge us for the service even though it did not show up . Dingy breakfast room with a 2 euro charge for orange juice , come on . We felt harassed on arrival , after a long […] flight and wait at airport to book events , tours ,etc with hotel when we did not book with them they soon lost interest in us and when we did not make any bookings with hotel , then service was so so . Stairs were very noisy and decor was a bit on the tacky side.On our departure we were again harassed for taxi charge from our arrival at airport WHAT PART OF TAXI DID NOT NOT SHOW UP DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND .On our departure we were asked if we used any anything from the mini bar etc anything we used we declared .,the race to the room to check as we left left us with a negative experience. We chose the hotel based on its location and the reviews. We were not dissapointed by either. The location is great right beside the Blue Mosque and within walking distance of all the major attractions. The staff were very friendly led by the owner who was a great help and always had a warm welcome for us. This was an excellent place to stay. It is well located close to the Sultanhamet area and a quick walk to the metro. The staff was very helpful and polite. The hotel is located next to many restaurants and bars making a night out easy. I stayed at Best Point Hotel in Istanbul. It is quite close to the Blue Mosque/Ayasofya, so very convenient if you are visitng the city for sight seeing. I got a glimpse of the Blue Mosque from my room window. The people at the hotel speaks English, and were very helpful when I asked them questions (eg: which restaurant to go, what to see, etc). We really enjoyed staying at this hotel in Istanbul because it was so close to everything we wanted to see in just two short days. It was close to the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sofia, and the Topkapki Palace. They were all within a short walking distance. The neighborhood was quaint, with restaurants and grocery stores readily available on our street. […] The room was very neat and tidy. The bathroom and shower were larger than I had expected. The hotel had a wonderful small courtyard where you could sit and read a book or enjoy some conversation. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens. The continental breakfast in the morning was also very good. The service was excellent. The person at the front desk was very good at helping us organize our time for the trip. We ended up taking two day trips that he arranged with a tour group for us. We were glad we did that, because we were able to see a lot more of the city in a shorter period of time, and the guides were very knowledgeable. What a great start to my vacation! A great hotel close to all the sites. As a 30-something female traveling alone--I felt 100% safe. The hotel is right off the main hotel drag--so a little more quiet (although you can't escape the call to prayer at 4:30 AM anywhere in the city). Lovely stay, as usual. Good air-con (very welcome in the summer humidity and heat of Istanbul). Staff go out of their way to be helpfull. Rooms on the compact side but perfectly acceptable.
