Outstanding location, comfortable and tasteful rooms with views over the Arenes Rooms are basically equipped with microwave, cooker rings, kettle although having stayed here three times - a bit hit or miss as to what crockery or cutlery is provided There can be a bit off external noise, from traffic and early morning bottle bank collection from bar […] restaurant. Rooms are spacious and set up for a self catering stay with microwave oven and various pans and utensils. There is a central stone staircase leading to all floors which is very dark but supposedly lit by push button lighting which times itself out automatically. Several were inoperative during our stay. The hotel is clean and very well appointed, […] standing directly opposite the Roman amphitheatre. As far as I could ascertain there is no street parking in Nimes, but there is a large underground car park -'Parking des Arenes' 200m meters away which is pricey at 16 euros per day. There are no special rates in the carpark for hotel residents, but the plus side is that the car park is signposted from all directions as you enter the town, which makes the hotel very easy to find if you are driving. Breakfasts were a huge let down with the same stale fruit reappearing for each of the 4 days that we were there. The fruit salad is of the tinned variety. On one occasion they had run out of bread at 0930 and on another they had run out of croissants. Teaspoons are the only spoons provided which makes cereal eating something of a challenge if you like it with milk. Some tables were laid with glasses for fruit juice others with plastic cups. The 2 chambermaids who looked after our room were absolutely delightful and very helpful. Breakfasts notwithstanding, I would recommend the hotel as an ideal base in the centre of Nimes. Devamı

very good location just opposite the Arean!! 5 Minuties walk from train station. Big window with the amazing Arean view. Spacious room, big and comfortable bed. Bath room is big with separate toilet. There is a small kitchentte, it should be handy if you want to make your own food. Lots of cafes / restaurants around.

Large room and comfortable bed. Roadworks make access to the hotel by car somewhat complicated but parking easy with main underground car park nearby. Soundproofing was not good but all guests were quiet. Toilet came without a toilet seat as a previous guest had broken it. Should really be replaced immediately.

We requested a room with a view over the Arena and got it. basic accommodation but with the facility of a mini kitchen (fridge, microwave and hot plate) the stay was very enjoyable. NIMES is a wonderful city especially at night. Résidence Le Cheval Blanc is right across the street from the Roman Arena as advertised. It is not well staffed. There was no one available to show us (a little more detail ) about parking. Even though the hotel is literally around the corner from a Tourist Agency- the reception did not have a local map […] of the area. The lighting is very low. The room had a separate WC with no sink!! So it was curious. Happily, there are a number of out door cafes around the Arena. We enjoyed several. A better choice to stay in NIMES would have been the NOVOTEL. Take time to go the PONT DU GARD- It's a treasure. Devamı

This is a fantastic hotel and a great location.

We loved this hotel it is an amazing building and the views are magical. Freindly staff go out of there way to help and our room was fresh and clean daily and not too noisy considering its central location.

We had a standard room -it was large, very comfortable and had a stunning view across to the Arenes .A cupboard opened out and the facilities included a sink , toaster, microwave and kettle and two electric hot plates. This hotel rated a 5 star in our book. The room was tastefully decorated in a modern style with huge sliding wood panels that opened to reveal an amazing view of the Arena (directly across the street and beautifully lit at night). Our superior room had a comfortable lower level with sofa, stunning washroom with a modern sink, and an upper sleeping loft […] with comfortable beds ( down comforters). It was very difficult finding the hotel whilst negotiating the narrow, one-way roads in this busy old town area. The name of the hotel is on the top of the building--far from a driver's view. My daughter and I circled the old town area for a good half hour before finally parking near the Arena and walking our way around the circle. Once there, however, […] overall it was a pleasant stay (one weird experience at the end at check out time, but more on that later...). Very well located across from the Roman Arena. Nice little restaurants in the square across the street from the Roman temple. The room was clean and modern. One thing I did not appreciate was that, on check out day, we left to have breakfast at 8 a.m. and returned at 11:00 a.m. to find a stranger's bag in our (previously) locked room. The housekeeping staff stopped by and told us they were depositing bags in rooms from a tour group. Very bad for our security and the security of the owner of the bag deposited in our room. I checked with the front desk and they confirmed that check out was at noon. She offered no explanation for the incident. Having had an experience with a theft from my hotel room in the past, this was a particularly distressing experience. Devamı

First off, the Résidence Le Cheval Blanc has a fantastic location with the Arènes de Nîmes right in front of the hotel. The view from my bedroom was overlooking the lovely Roman amphitheater. The rooms were clean with basic, modern style furnishings. The bathroom only had a tub bath with a shower hand nozzle, but was recently & modernly fitted out. The trickiest part is figuring out how to park the car and find the hotel; GPS will not help since there are many one-way streets. My advice would be to find the arena, drop off bags, then find the underground parking. The view from the room was great - we looked at the famous ruin and at sunset, it is lovely. Unfortunately, my back was also nearly […] ruined by the thin, hard, bed which was not comfortable for me. This is an ultra modern style place with "no frills". Since we were staying for only one night, it did not matter. I had some difficulty creating the correct temperature in the room. (A/C seemed to blow too hard, but it was too warm to leave it off. The dramatic staircase, modern but comfortable room, amazing view of the Arena, and convenience of the wine bar and restaurant in the hotel were all very pleasant surprises. The breakfast room provided a nice range of foods and beverages and an amazing coffee machine to meet anyone's needs in the morning. We had a room overlooking the Roman arena, which was lit up at night, as were the trees around it. The result was stunning. Waking up in the morning and sliding the huge oak shutters away from the window revealed an equally impressive view in the morning sunlight. The room we had was quite large, with a table and chairs, as was the one used by my brother […] and his wife. Being a Residence the rooms also had a kitchenette, but there were no utensils, or pots in ours, and the one in my brother's room was locked. I must say, though, that our room also looked out over a road, which was quite busy in the morning, and quite noisy. I live miles from anywhere though, so everywhere else seems noisy to me! Devamı

Located in the downtown circle with all the cafes and shops within walking distance. Wonderful, large room overlooking the Collesium. The wine bar is fantastic! We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and will stay there again!

personale al ricevimento molto cortese. Come esttica della camera bella e molto ampia ma manca di rifiniture. Pulizia da migliorare. Non c'è parcheggio e nessuna convenzione con il parcheggio vicino.

très bien situé (vraiment face aux Arènes) et un parking souterrain à proximité c'est parfait. Mais la chambre n'est pas propre (gros cheveux ou poils ? sur le lit qui venait d'être fait) et de la poussière. Les miroirs de la salle de bains n'étaient vraiment pas propre. Chose très bizarre dans cette salle de bain, pas de rideaux de douche. La SDB […] se transforme alors en piscine, sympa pour la 2ème personne. Le matelas est correct mais sans plus par contre les oreillers sont mortels. Impossible de dormir. Ils ont le confort et l’épaisseur d'un oreiller d'avion (en éco). Un écran TV pas plus grand qu'un écran PC de 19 pouces ! Les chambres sont très bruyantes car les portes pas du tout insonorisées. On entend vraiment TOUT ! Le petit déjeuner à éviter ABSOLUMENT. 11€ / personne pour croissants qui se battent en duels... nous sommes arrivés à 09h15 et déjà plus grand chose un dimanche matin. Le jus d'orange de marque "Dia" (il y avait la brique de jus qui était visible). Il y avait bien l'emplacement pour le gaufrier mais ça devait être trop compliqué de le sortir... Du bacon de disponible mais pas cuit et rien prévu pour non plus... bizarre ! Et un jambon un peu douteux à sa couleur. Pour être bref très bien situé et c'est tout. Devamı

Payer un hôtel pour dormir sur un lit de camp.... Bien situé, belle entrée mais le reste laisse à désirer!!! Déçu!

Super hôtel, super emplacement, je recommande vivement

L'accueil est très chaleureux, l'emplacement est idéal mais des déceptions : la climatisation est défectueuse, le système électrique compliqué et il n'y a aucune aération dans la salle de bains.

Cet hôtel est très bien situé, juste en face des Arènes. La chambre que nous avons occupé avait vue sur les Arènes. Chambre spacieuse, lumineuse, bien agencée et bien insonorisée. Télé (écran plat) un peu petite et pas très facile à allumer/utiliser (associée à un récepteur TNT). Salle de bain correcte, le petit plus serait un rideau au niveau de la […] baignoire. Personnel acceuillant et serviable. Le seul bémol est le prix du petit déjeuner: 11 Euros. C'est un peu cher par rapport à la prestation fournie. Enfin, le restaurant se trouvant à côté de l'hôtel est également à recommander. Cadre, choix variés, prix. Pour finir, je recommande vivement cet hôtel. Devamı

super bien placé proche du centre et face aux arenes attention certaines chambre comme la notre la 30, 1er etage donne de l'autre coté sur une cour. petit dej pas terrible buffet tres leger notre chambre la 30 donne à coté de la piece d'entrepot du materiel de nettoyage de l'hotel et le personnel ne se gene pas pour ouvrir et femer cette piece tres […] tres tot le matin voire meme dans la nuit et surtout sans delicatesse chambre tres vaste pour 4 resto pratique tres correct dans les locaux de l'hotel Devamı

Todo muy bien. El único pero es que la ducha no tiene cortina o manpara. El resto perfecto, habitación muy grande, con vistas a la plaza. Calidad precio inmejorable.

Superbe vue sur les arènes de nimes. Hotel design et agréable. Très bien isolé phonétiquement et excellente climatisation. Seul la literie propre mais moyenne en qualité. Manque un guide d'utilisation des appareils présents dans la chambre. Sinon très bien a recommander
