A little bit expensive for the quality, but the location was great. Beautiful beach and beautiful bike route.

When we came in, the bathroom was cleaned I am sure, but still looked dirty. The fact that there is no window that can be opened makes the room humid and unhealthy. You can feel it when you were outside for a while and open the door. However, the location is convenient, not far from food and grocery stores.

This was my first time using this service and visiting this hotel. It was a spur of the moment thing for my wife's birthday. We would have rather had a room closer to the ocean. This hotel would be excellent for someone who wanted to go fishing. My wife and I do not fish and go to the coast to admire the ocean and relax. Room was as advertized. Older motel, but clean and fairly quiet even over July 4th weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will go back.

I am a mother of three who happens to be very low maintenance and usually prefer to stay in hotels less than 4 and 5 star because I have two young boys and kids can be hard on things. I have to say I was afraid to take a shower and use the bathroom and I actually started to search for bed bugs. I seen a bunch of signs that could have possibly meant […] bed bugs but not a 100% sure. I just made sure that we washed EVERYTHING in very hot water when we got home and disinfected everything I could not wash. We had no choice but to stay. It definitely was not worth the high dollar amount per night. The beach area was kinda up nasty too. The water was full of sea weed, debris, rock etc., and when walking out I was stepping on a bunch of crunchy shells and so on. The water was just nasty looking. So the quality of the beach matched the hotel... Go ahead and book you a room, it's just great!!! Devamı

The outside of the hotel leaves you questioning your judgement, but it's just an older hotel. On the inside our room was renovated with new furniture, bedding, paint, and flat panel TV. My only disappointment was the location. It is located directly infront of the pier, but there is also a large RV park behind it as well as a retaurant/bar. There is […] only one way to the beach through a set of stairs in a privacy fence that surrounds the whole RV park. The name is slightly misleading. It is not directly on the beach, and from the 1st floor you cannot see the ocean at all. The second story may have better views. My biggest complaint is the amount of traffic coming and going to the pier. They flew in and out without looking. It was scary to walk my 4 year old back and forth, so we started using an empty parking lot between the hotel and the RV place instead. It was also a little loud at night as the pier restaurant or bar...not really sure which, is open late, but once inside the room it was mostly quiet. It is fairly near Camp Lejeune and our last night there we heard very loud planes doing some kind of testing until about 1 AM. Given the other hotels to choose from in the area I would stay here again. I have no complaints about comfort or cleanliness, or housekeeping. Also don't expect a lot of breakfast type restaurants if staying in Emerald Isle. Food selection is mostly pizza, subs, and a few seafood joints. Devamı

This property doesn't look like much on the outside, but room was nice and had comfy beds. There is a spelling error on the sign outside (fridge is spelled "frigde"), but that's minor and rather funny. I liked the fact that it was well within walking distance to the beach. When visiting our Marine son at nearby Camp LeJeune, we will stay at Oceanview again. Close to everything. Walking distance to great food, shopping, beach, and pier. VERY personable service. Owned and operated by a very nice couple. Felt like home. We were detained and didn't arrive until 3:00 a.m. We called out of courtesy and were assured that it […] would be fine. I will, however, try to stay on the second floor next time, just because of the typical tub drainage problem of beach hotels; sand in the drain. Other than that, must say we loved it here! Devamı

We stayed 2 nights, 4 of us in room. The room was pretty big and we all had enough space. We didn't want to spend a lot of money and we were all satisfied with what we got. Very close to a pier and beach, along with resturants.

I spent 2 nights and have no complaints. I could see the beach and pier from my room. I will go back...soon I hope.

The hotel was recently acquired by new owners who while eager to help lacked hotel experience. The cleaning staff was new- there was mold in the shower i suggested Tilex but it was not done. The manager/owner replaced the shower head for us. A light bulb was missing and the night staff couldn't find a new one. There were restaurants and shops in walking […] distance. The view was nice of the ocean over the trailer parks on either side. The room was big enough, the fridge and microwave though old were in working condition. There were no blankets on the bed and on the last night there we stayed 3....a 1 1/2 inch roach crawled out from under our bed ..yuck. Devamı

The owners live there and take good care of their business. It shows. The building is old but taken care of. Good value for the price.

the hotel was very close to the beach and to the fishing pier. That is about all it had going for it though. Old rooms badly in need of updating. The sheets didn't fit the beds. The room was reasonably clean at least. Service by the hotel staff was very good.
