Los Padres Inn - San Luis Obispo

Comfortable, no problems. Got a good night of sleep; right in town near shops and restaurants.

Good location and close to downtown. Room had a musty smell. Stains on the chair so I didn't use it. I was passing through so I just needed a place to crash for the night. It was OK in that sense, but not a place I would take my wife to relax.

The room was clean and everything was in order. Good location on Monterey Street. No problems.

This is a good 2-star hotel, with a friendly and helpful staff. The room was fine for a 2*, and (despite a review to the contrary) the wireless internet worked just fine. Perhaps a touch pricey when compared to other 2*s on the Monterey strip, that offer breakfast and/or a bathtub.

Shotty remodel work. We stayed on the ground floor. It was a large rm but lights didn't work and questionable remodeling in the bath. Only worth a cheap price. Also there's no breakfast.

The kindness of the staff, and easy walking distance to downtown SLO make this little hotel a winner for me.

No working internet, no thermostat (just an ancient radiator), no shelves in bathroom (used toilet tank lid for toothpaste, etc.), no lamps, carpet stained and crunchy, tiny shower, loose plumbing fixtures and doorknob, no coffee pot, one thin blanket on bed (and spare blankets were dusty). A pretty picture on the outside, but don't look to close. The room was shabby, the carpet was utterly disgusting. It was filthy and had not been cleaned in months. The rest of the room was pretty clean, but very, very worn. There was no light beside the bed to read. The curtain drug the floor and was a tripping hazard. It was clean but tired. Ok for the value.

The rooms are not updated, but comfortable. These rooms are not the pampered traveler. If you don't mind rustic, outdated, and prefer inexpensive, this place is great. Great location.

A place to crash...not much else good to say about it. Carpet in room was soiled. Tiny TV could barely be seen from beds. Plastic flowers on walls that were painted a variety of non-harmonious colors. Pretty tacky overall.

The location is perfect. It was in walking distance of down town SLO, right down the street from the famous Splash Cafe (try their clam chowder!) and close to other great restaurants and shops. The Los Padres Inn is old, small and quaint, which adds to the experinece of the area. Enjoyed my stay and, if in the area, will return.

This hotel is a serious dump. Old matresses in the parking lot, banged up furniture, old nasty carpet, horrible bathroom with a tiny shower you could barely move in. We didn't even stay there on night #2 it was so gross, even though we paid money for it.

The hotel is midway between town and campus. Good restaurants nearby. Wifi worked well. Very nice room. Grounds not as nice - some junk stored on property.

What a fantastic stay at Los Padres. This was my second stay in in 21 months. Friday night I was awoken by a noisy drunk neighbor. The person settled down but the next morning was rude to the owners so he was sent packing. Several resturants nearby including Spaslh Cafe which has awesome clam chowder and succulent scallops. Very close to downtown shopping. […] A nice walk in good weather, a short inexpensive cab ride, or a nice cool rickshaw ride. Some of the rooms have the appearance of being it's own seperate cabin. Great location. Hotel is clean but old and in need of upgrading. The room smelled. The heater would not turn off. The bed was not very comfortable.

Small, family run hotel near downtown SLO. Very nice and helpful managers. Rooms are a bit tight, we had one with two queens, since we were traveling with a toddler. I did feel the cleanliness of the room was a little questionable -- dusty furniture and dirty feeling carpet.

This is an older hotel that has been maintained to a respectable standard, however I must emphasize old in that things break and furniture and modern conveniences are sparse or break down. The surrounding area is probably more suited to the young, adventurous, risk-taking crowd where trading in security and convenience for affordability is preferred. All […] in all, I found the owners to be polite and respectable. I cannot fairly criticize a small business that is probably struggling to keep afloat in this harsh economy. Although it was not the best stay I've ever had, for the money, it was very decent. A nice surprise was its proximity to the Splash cafe--great clam chowder and near downtown area. Devamı

My daughter is going to school in LA, and SLO is a fun half-way location for us to meet. We wanted to spend our money on shopping and restaurants rather than an expensive motel so we picked Los Padres Inn as it had fairly good reviews for the price. It is a cute old place and the bathrooms have been redone although the doors weren't in very good shape […] and all were very squeaky. The pillows were awful, the beds ok, not great, the TV was very small but the room was very clean. I always take wipes to use in motels and after a wipe-down the wipe was still clean. The management was nice. The breakfast was packaged muffins and scones but they were from a SLO bakery and were ok but not really enough. There was a frig and microwave in the room even though the website said they were available on request. We were there a Wednesday and Thursday night and even though it wasn't a weekend there were some very noisy guests both nights. The walls are very thin. I have had this problem with noisy guests in SLO before at other motels...maybe because of Cal Poly? We have stayed at about 6 other motels on Monterey and I really like the location. This one is a bit closer to town so the walk back isn't as far as some of the others we have stayed at. I would recommend this motel is you really want to save money and aren't going to be spending a lot of time in your room. Bring your own pillow! Devamı

Rooms were not like the picture. It was OK for the money, but nothing to brag about. It was what you would expect to pay for a 40 or 50 room anywhere else. SLO hotels being so overpriced.

This is an older motel and it shows. While our room was mostly comfortable and good enough for one night in town, it was appointed with very old fixtures. Another word of warning--this motel does not have A/C. SLO doesn't tend to get too hot at night, so the two fans the motel provided in the room were enough for us to be comfortable while we slept, […] but it was hot in our room during the day. The room does have a heater for colder nights, so I imagine a stay in the winter wouldn't be problematic. Finally, my only other gripe is that the shower stall was really small--my husband barely fit inside with room to move around. The location is great, the free parking is sufficient, and the staff was friendly. It was the lowest priced motel we found in that area of town. Devamı

The motel is located in the middle of San Luis Obispo, close to the freeway (as are several others). The motel looks much more charming from outside than the typical motels. The rooms are however nothing special. The bedroom is a little smaller than the average motel room while the bathroom had peeling paint. No coffee (but there is a microwave). No air conditioning, but you probably don't need since it is cool at night. Friendly, family owned and operated. Price is on par with other similar quality hotels in California.

For persons staying in SLO on business with the Cal Poly university, this was a convenient location. It was within walking distance of the Apple Farm restaurant and hotel and, because of its small size, allowed for parking basically in front of the room.

hotel super sympa drap propres ,bonne douche, seul 2 inconvénient pas de petit déjeuner même succin ca fait toujours ca a se mettre dans le ventre et l'hotel et vraiment en bord de route ,qui est charmante d'ailleurs mais très bruyant très tôt aussi non le petit village un peu plus bas sent le bonheur je recommande

Compte tenu des prix élevés pratiqués dans la région, il est difficile de trouver un hôtel bon marché. Ce petit hôtel est tout à fait correct: jolie chambre lumineuse. Le petit déjeuner est, quant à lui très succinct.
