Nice hotel but I wish there were more shops and restaurants in closer proximity.

We were in town for the Steve Harvey comedy show that was at the James Brown Arena. The hotel is located a few short blocks to the arena and it sits on the river. Our room had a partial river view, which was beautiful, by the way. There is a nice walking path and parks to explore just outside the hotel. The staff were friendly and the hotel restaurant […] was very nice. There is a breakfast buffet that has made to order omelets and waffles and everything else; it was very good. Just when we thought the hotel couldn't get better, Steve Harvey himself strolls in the bar! It turns out that he's staying there as well! If its good enough for him, it's definitely good enough for me! Devamı

Stayed there years back when it first opened and looked forward to staying again....obviously have not updated the rooms since then. Could of used some sprucing up along with some extra cleaning. Lobby and parking was great.

We had a veiw of a nasty roof top-And there were no pools until after i complained to hotels.com and 3 hours later when i called they had turned the water back on so it was dirty.When the whole thing opens it might be nice but there are only parts of hotel open.Basicly dont pay the high price go to one half the price and you might enjoy it more, it […] was not an enjoyable xmas eve. This was my second stay at the Augusta Marriott Hotel and Suites. Th service is impecible. The staff literally bends over backwards to make sure your stay is a memorable one. Room service was speedy although, if I had to have one complaint, it would be that the hotel's restaurant menu was a bit too limited. However, what they did serve was absolutely […] delicious. Despite the fact that the convention center is being built adjacent to the hotel, there were no inconveniences. I LOVE THR MARRIOTT and will be back again in September. Devamı

Excellent parking which is free. Our particular room beds sagged, we woke up with back aches. Hotel is clean. Front desk polite and helpful. Good location. Good hotel rates, even though this was one of the more expensive hotels in the city. I would stay here again.

...from what we could tell. Not a lot going on in downtown Augusta, even on a Saturday night. It was better than staying in a box in nearby SC, our ultimate Sunday morning destination, but three times the expense. Great view of the riverwalk from the corner room. Good service. We enjoyed the hotel but passed on Broad Street.

Everything was great at the Marriot Augusta. This is actually two hotels that were linked together, a former Radisson and Homewood Suites. Marriot did a great job of marrying the two by means of a corridor surrounded by nice conference and meeting rooms.

Great hotel...My only complaint is that I asked for a king bed in one of the two rooms I booked and was given 2 Queens in both rooms.

Beautiful facility, right on the really great Augusta Riverwalk. Had stayed here a decade ago. Facility still looks new. Only problem was a big one: The plumbing had an air infusion condition that led to a 3 AM "water hammer" condition that seemed to shake the entire wing of the hotel when a resident, perhaps on another floor, started an early morning […] shower bath. I called the front desk and asked for a change of room to escape the intolerable noise in the pipes. Within minutes, someone was at my door to move my fiance and me to a comparable room on another floor on the opposite wing. Fair enough. Devamı

Very lovely hotel with courteous staff and clean rooms This hotel is located on the Savannah River and is adjacent to a promenade that overlooks the river. Wonderful for scenic morning walks. The traditional southern breakfast and the waffles are scrumptious.

By calling Hotels.com for reservation assistance, I was able to get an upgraded room for the price of a regular room. Hotel is very elegant and right next to the Augusta Savannah River Walk. Nice dining and downtown shops within walking distance. Rooms were very clean and beds were luxuriously comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Very accommodating for checking in early, the rooms should be serviced more frequently--batteries dead in remote control and no one replaced them after several calls--we had to request bathroom tissue twice--- trash cans should be emptied daily. the location on the river is a great attaction especially during the 4th where you can look out your window […] to see the fireworks.
