There isn't much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel other than the Metrodome, but if you're willing to walk a mile or so, there is plenty in the area to do. The mill district was a very cool historical place to check out a short walk from the hotel and I highly recommend taking a tour at the Mill City Museum. The hotel itself was clean and stylish […] but not overly impressive otherwise. Laid back, fun atmosphere. I'd stay there again. Devamı

Great for sports fans and food lovers alike.

We had stayed at the Chambers and W in Minneapolis and both of them where nice. Each were more luxurious than Aloft but both were more expensive. Aloft also had a pool which the others did not. Lastly the location was great for our stay-cation. We ran across the Hennepin Ave bridge, past the Grain Belt sign, along on St. Anthony Main and back across […] the Stone Arch bridge which took us right back to the hotel. The re:fuel center had some nice snacks for us when we returned (however, the market next door probably would have been cheaper). Devamı

The desk and lounge staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. My only negatives were the hardness of the bed and the mushpole feather pillows, and the room seemed a bit colder than we'd have liked, no matter what we set the thermostat. I would not hesitate to stay there again, though.

Hotel was very comfortable to stay in. Loved the set up of the room. Rooms were small but it was just 2 of us so not a big deal. Went to the Vikings game so the location was awesome and parking was cheaper then anywhere else we stayed. Will go back for sure!

This little gem is just enough off the beaten track to be convenient, affordable and close to the things I love to do in the Twin Cities. The place is as cool as it gets, with a 24 hour gym and pool, very good food at the bar, a happening social scene on weekends. Skip coffee at the hotel and go across the street to the book store. Rude hotel employees

Awesome to walk to the metrodome. We didnt have to drive anywhere and we got to park our car inside.

Aloft has always been renown for attracting the youth sector to their hotels for its modern, minimalist architectural design and uplifting, vibrant atmosphere. I happened to experience Aloft in Minneapolis on two separate occasions, and I must exclaim that their hotel location doesn't do it justice. Perhaps the worst of the experience was parking; […] be prepared to re-locate your vehicle after you check-in. There are no main permanent parking spots for free, on or near the hotel premise. You must cross the street to a parking ramp facility; this facility is under construction and has reserved lots inside, thus you may run into the ramp being FULL. In this case, you have to relocate once again to another parking ramp about 3 blocks away from the hotel. Problem: you must either walk back or find yourself an alternative transportation method to get back to the hotel. The best part of the hotel experience is perhaps the environment; the hotel room is exceptionally clean with up-to-date equipment. Bathroom is very urban and modern in design; there are glass panes used throughout, a basin-style sink, and loft-style sliding door room for the toilet and walk-in shower. Customer service is of what you would expect from most hotel chains; don't come in looking for top-class Ritz Carlton hotel customer service. Be prepared to ask lots of questions if you need information, as hotel desk staff (especially during the 3rd shift) are very straightforward and reluctant to provide additional details. The cost of the hotel is average also for most hotel chains within the Downtown Minneapolis area. I used my Choice Privileges card to pay for the hotel, so make sure to rack up your rewards points if you decide to stay at any hotel and you don't have a card already! Finally, I would highly recommend Aloft to anyone within the later X to Y generations (20's age). Families will experience a great stay, but may not be accustomed to the minimalist, simplistic interior design. Business trav Devamı

Great location in the up-and-coming West Side Milling district. Guthrie Theater, St. Anthony Falls, Stone Arch bridge, are all steps away. Center of downtown is a 15 minute walk. Hotel is modern and crisp. Clean lines, and as its name says, loft-like. Staff is efficient.

This hotel is hip and trendy. Loved the decor and room was very nice. The major problem here was the hotel guests who were attending a wedding and forgot that other people in the hotel wanted to sleep. Between 12am to 3am heard nothing but loud talking, yelling and door slamming. Complained to the front desk and of course the noise stopped the second […] after I hung up the phone. I should of complained sooner. Management was nice enough to give us two vouchers for breakfast the following day which was very nice. Not their fault but would be nice if wedding/party goers had their own soundproof section of hotel to stay in since in their drunken stupor they cannot respect others. Would never stay at this hotel again on a Friday or Saturday night. Too noisy. But if you can stay here on a day when people aren't idiots, then you'll really like this place. Devamı

If you like the idea of a more contemporary/kitschy hotel environment, this will definitely do the trick. The lobby is innovative, bright and lively. The staff was very helpful, courteous and professional. The room was more on the Euro/contemporary side (don't stay here if you want to soak in a tub, as the room includes only a shower!). I like hotels […] that aren't the typical American formula, and this did the trick for me just fine. A blend between hotel chain and boutique. I wish it was just a bit closer to the main downtown core--but it's clear the area the hotel is in is enjoying a revivial, which was fun to observe. A few good restaurants across the street--I hope a good breakfast spot opens somewhere nearby soon! That was one thing I longed for. All in all, a great stay. Devamı

I love everything about the Aloft hotel-- the room is so well designed, it makes everything I wanted to do so easy and comfortable. For example, the large bench opposite the bed is the perfect place for putting a carry-on bag, and rather than just using a small luggage rack, you can pull things out on the bench and put them alongside your bag. Also […] I have to say that the staff are so friendly and terrific-- when I got to the hotel I was a bit frazzled as the airline had lost my suitcase. By the time I returned from a dinner mtg, they had the bag and had put it up in my room for me. Additionally, the small food bar in the lobby is so handy-- when it's late and you don't want to sit down in a hotel restaurant, just being able to buy some healthy food items on the way up to the room is such a handy option. When you're traveling for business- or anytime, really-- its the little things that count.! Devamı

The hotel has games, a gym, pool and a great bar. As well as being a pleasant stay, this hotel was fun.

The Aloft has a feel like a very cool European hostel, felt like there should be a lot of international students with backpacks lounging around the lobby. Oddly the clientele seemed to skew more towards slightly older couples and families with kids while we were there, but if I were looking for an urban spot on a modest budget this would be the place […] I'd look for. Located adjacent to the Guthrie Theater, easy walk to the Metrodome, centrally located for all sorts of activities, but quiet enough to sleep at night. Place was relaxed and convenient. Cant beat the price. Staff were pleasant, good amusement options for family (pool, swimming, internet, games), convenient to down town locations. Parking was not a big deal, considering price of room, even $10 dollars to park would not be bad, but we found free street parking, Neighborhood is nice to walk or ride bikes […] ... and they have rentals available right ourside of hotel. A weekend's worth of fun right in the hotel lobby! The bar was wonderful, the bartender friendly, the people great to meet. There is a pool, pool table, shuffle board table, connect four, corn hole, and on and on! I have never had so much fun at a hotel. After a long day exploring the city, it was fun to spend a "night-in" drinking and playing all kinds […] of fun games in the hotel lobby. Very helpful staff. We loved the room, too! Our experience was a VERY positive one. The staff was super friendly, the room was nice and the amenities were fantastic. Their parking system was secure and very convenient; one like I've never seen. No gliches at all!

This was a great hotel to stay at. The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help out. The rooms were comfortable and clean. A 2 minute walk to the transit station were you can get the train to the airport, mall or downtown. A 10 minute walk to downtown. Great access to walking and biking trails. My only complaint was the the AC in the […] room was really loud..Other than that this is a great hotel. Devamı

We had a really nice stay. The staff is really nice. The place was clean. A lot of things to do that were close to the hotel.

Excellent location and friendly staff. A great relaxing holiday get away!

I love pretty much everything about this hotel from the quality service to the modern amenities of the hotel. The only thing I would like to see is some kind of complimentary continental breakfast. Most of the hotels I stay at has this type of service included. Other than that I love everything about the Aloft Minneapolis!

This is a great hotel and the staff was great. Very modern, hip hotel, and I was very surprised at how inexpensive it was for how great it was. They have a free shuttle anywhere within a 5 mile radius, we went to Nye's for dinner and then to Brit's for drinks, and they even picked us up at Nye's at our designated time and drove us to Brit's, even though […] we never went back to the hotel inbetween. Our own personal Chauffeur! This was an A+ stay for everything except one bad thing was that we couldn't find out how to turn on the bathroom lights without the rest of the bedroom lights going on. A little inconvenient when you had to go in the middle of the night. HIghly recommend this hotel! Devamı

Great hotel in a location that's walking distance from the train to the airport, Metrodome, downtown and Target Field (though a bit of a walk). Very close to Guthrie Theatre, Mill City Museum and Stone Arch Bridge, all nice attractions. Nice place to stay and be close to everything, without being in a touristy area like the immediate downtown area.

Not a bad place to spend of few nights. The Friday night dance party happening in the XYZ bar was a bit difficult to sleep through....we were on the 2nd floor. We will go back, but ask for a room higher up and in the back off Washington Street. The free shuttle was awesome! Perfect location for the Guthrie and West Bank of U of M.

This hotel should have a sign above the door: "Persons over 30 not admitted." Definitely designed for a younger crowd, not my taste or comfort level. The decor is stylish and minimalist to the point of being cold. Lobby had concrete floors, a pool table, a snack and breakfast bar (all for purchase), steel mesh curtains. Room was fresh and new, but small. […] No closet -- just a curtained alcove with angled bar to hold five or six hangers, not suitable for a garment bag. Very thin walls so that you could hear conversations in the hall (and vise versa). The light switch combinations in the room were impossible to figure out. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Guthrie Theater, which was great. There also are great walking or biking paths along the river parks. Staff was friendly and helpful. But for a romantic weekend or luxurious atmosphere, I wouldn't choose this again. Devamı

Don't fall for the Loft-Style hype. It's really just another hotel. What did impress me was the staff and service - they deserve to be mentioned because they were great. Shuttle service was convenient and readily available to get into the core of downtown. So if you don't want to spend the extra $$$ for a room right in the heart of downtown, this is […] a good option. Devamı

This is a great hotel if you are on a budget and want something contemporary and efficient. My husband and I especially enjoyed the location in the Mill District. You can easily get around without a car. The light rail Metrodome station is only a few blocks away. The river with a plethora of historical flour mills is right in the backyard and we went […] for many wonderful walks during our stay. The room is small, but the bed is the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on. The shower is also large, which is a nice bonus. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi and bar. Devamı

I stayed there a total of 7 nights split over 2 weeks. Hotel was great. Comp rates for parking to other hotels but the shuttle service within a 5 mile radius is great. Beat most of the other peoples hotels that I trained with. The hotel staff are friendly. All around a great stay and I would do it again.

Aloft has no vallet parking, no onsite parking, no dedicated ramp, no one to help you with your bags... it was like a contemporary Holiday Inn. It is not warm in Minnesota 7 months out of the year and the room was simply freezing. Very poorly insulated building. I expect more for a hotel at this price in this area. Was not a good experience. Paid cash for parking ramp pass and credit card was also charged. Was told it would be taken care of, still hasn't been. Wall art in room held up by velcro. Was on floor when we came into room. Had to move it out of the way to get to beds. Beds not comfy. Small pillows. Light switches by door so confusing. Had to turn them […] all on and off to see which area they were for. Bathroom has sliding door..didn't close all the way. Only good thing was 2 blocks from Metrodome. Devamı

I'd definitely stay here again, though I'd make sure to request a room away from Washington Avenue. In the middle of the night it sounded like the Indy 500 was outside the window. It's also kind of a pain that in the year 2010 they can't get their wireless to work with the iPhone. It's been out several years now. I've actually stayed at one other hotel […] that had this problem, and their IT department had a fix for it. The only option given here was that I could use the free computers in the lobby. Devamı
