Hotel Indigo Rahway - Newark - Rahway

This hotel was convenient to the city. It was literally across the street from the train station...40 minute ride (give or take) into Penn Station for about $16 round trip. Train runs 24 hours. There are some late night restaurants within driving distance. Staff was very polite and helpful. We will definitely stay again!

I travel a lot and was recommended to stay at this hotel by a family member. At check-in, Cassandra at the front desk made us feel as if we were inconveniencing her, she was rude and annoyed at any question I asked. We were there 6 days, I did not know of any amenities the hotel offered. As we came in and out, the front desk person would drop their […] head to keep from acknowledging us. We asked about about a maintenance guy who previously worked there, we were told he worked at another hotel. He gave my family member a great experience with his customer service and friendliness, we both said, we see why he works somewhere else. We wanted to warm our cup of coffee up but there was not a microwave available for guests. Not a pleasant experience to appear to be a bother to the staff. We never received those extra wash clothes housekeeping was suppose to return with. A hotel that I was not impressed with, nor will I recommend it to anyone. Devamı

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we are very impressed - the most comfortalbe bed we have ever slept in! Only Complaint is the Parking - last year the Hotel had a contract with the Parking Authority for the Parking Garage around the corner - this year the City did not renew the contract! SHAME ON YOU CITY.....

seemed like nice place but stay was very short. Had secured parking but had to pay for that which I thought was bad. Also bought 3 muffins in AM and they were $12.00. Would recommend and stay again, but i would bring my own muffins

The Indigo Hotel has spacious rooms, however, the walls are paper thin. We were up all night with people in the hallways yelling to each other. When we checked out and were asked how the stay was, we informed the staff that we did not get any sleep and they said it was because they had put us in a room that was surrounded by a wedding party. We were […] told to call the front desk next time and were offered a complimentary bottle of water for the trouble. Great place, great friendly staff, awesome rooms.

I stayed for one night for a business trip, and I was pleasantly surprised. My room was huge (I think it was a king suite), but it wasn't that expensive. Parking was available in a garage for an added fee, but all in all the experience was really nice. Every room has an accent wall...it makes you wonder what you will get. I wondered around the area […] a little bit, but didnt see too much outside the hotel that was worth doing (I was only there one night). I give this hotel a strong reccomendation because of the overall appearance and size to cost ratio. Its very close to a train station, but surprisingly not noisy at all. Next time I stay there I'm going to take the train!!! Devamı

Location is excellent, just across from the Railway Station. Service and atmosphere is friendly and a good place to stay for a short time for the price. If only they could add a microwave on each floor if not in every room.

I just love the convenience to the NJ transit and to my family. For me it is like coming home.... easy, breezy !

The hotel was great clean, friendly staff, parking was validated. I would definitely stay again. however I recommend requesting a room far from the elevator, if you like peace and quiet, the cleaning staffs supply room is right next door, and rolling carts and chatter is not how you want to wake up.

You can reach NewYork Penn Station with in one hour. rooms are very comfortable. I think there is no breakfast available just a decent cafeteria. drawback what is feel is neighborhood is not that safe during late night.

Typical tendy hotel, bad breakfast, bad location, just a FYI, $35.00 a day for train ticket for 2 to NYC and back from this Hotel's location. So make sure you add this to the hotels cost. Would HIGHLY recommend staying in NYC vs in Rahway, bad, scarey neighborhood!

the only thing I did not like was the parking facility. The parking should have a straight connection to the lobby. In the winter or bad weather it is inconvenient.

The staff is very nice and helpful, but the hotel is too noisy, the walls are thin like paper and you can hear people talking from inside your room. I couldnt sleep and I wake 6 times during the night.You cant have a good night sleep there until somebody insulate those walls with some kind sound proof material.

Very reasonable price and location was great for NYC trip. I loved this place. Very new and staff is really nice.

After excaping from the Econolodge in Newark that we also bookes on Hotel.com, this hotel was amazing. Beautiful to look at and comfortable. It is right across the street from the train station into NY. Great service also. This is the hotel we will stay in whenever we are in town!!

Hotel staff were very poorly trained. No smiles - no warm welcome. It was as if they were cashiers at a convenience store. The bar area was supposed to open at 5:30. 10 of my co-workers and I made pans to meet at the Indigo Hotel bar at 5:30, as we had dinner reservations down the street at 7:00. We were all there, but there was no bartender. At 5:35 […] I asked the young man at the front desk if someone was coming in to open the bar. He said that he didnt know, At 5:45 I asked him if someone could at least get us all a round of beer. He said he couldnt because he did not have access to the bar register. i suggested to just put it on my room account - and he said that we had to just wait until someone showed up. At 6:00pm we left. the next morning I tried purchasing a muffin and a coffee at the same bar/eatery. the young man behind the counter told me that he just closed his register and that i would have to pay at the front desk...where there were 4 people in line to check out. I've been at hotels where the staff will bend over backward to be nice, congenial, pleasant...but not at this one. Perhaps a few seminars in "hospitality" for the staff... Devamı

This hotel was difficult to find especially if it is technically "80 East Milton" and not 1 Carriage City Plaza especially if cab drivers don't do GPS updates. Hotel staff is pleasant. My room is large, nicely decorated, and a roomy bathroom. The walls are on the thin side. I can hear the alarm next door and some conversation. Outside noise is very […] minimal and able to sleep. This hotel is across the street from the NJ transit, with trains going by every 20 min or so. The hotel front desk staff is great, very friendly. There is a great place a few doors up, the Rail House, for dinner and drinks! The only weak spot is the hotel bar, which seems to open and close at the whim of whomever runs it. Love the Hotel Indigo chain but this one needs a lesson for the corporate office and sister hotel indigos. The bed was like sleeping on a rock and the noise from young teenagers was horrible at 4 in the morning. They should have separate wings for adults verses teenagers. Hotel Staff was great except nobody cared to ask how my stay was during check […] out. Parking is like a theme park....pull into parking garage, receive ticket, find spot on the 4 level, bring parking ticket with you until you leave plan on leaving again, bring ticket to front desk to get validated, back to garage, give ticket to machine, exit parking garage. This is my 3rd or 4th time coming here to visit my sister in Jersey. It is great location for that and hopping on the train to New York.... love it !! Clean and nicely decorated........love the big bed !

There were a lot of young people hanging around. Apparently they rent appartments in the higher floors. One thing that really got me annoyed is the fact that they do not have a full breakfast as advertised. They acually have a sort of deli that serves breakfast and the hotel staff will give a coupon to use in the deli for $5.99. The give each guest […] the coupon. However the prices of the deli are pretty high so you certainly have to pay a pretty high difference. I think it's a scam. Also the shower had stains. Devamı

Terrible service; Wrong room allocated Room not cleaned for two of five nights Blocked toilet was promised to be unblocked immediately, when we returned 12 hours later nothing done Reception phoned at 1030 after 5 days at hotel and they asdked who I was!!! Often nobody on reception, and no bell to ring. For this class of hotel and rate you expected […] much much better service, it really was poor. The room was nice, beds comfy, but room had scratches, marks and stains despite being a relatively new hotel. This hotel was wonderful. The staff was helpful and pleasant and didn't mind my asking question after question. The room was in good condition and very clean. Parking was adjacent to the hotel in a public garage. The hotel is right across from the Rahway Train Station that provides access to Penn Station NYC. This hotel is immediately across the street from the NJ transit train station in Rahway. That's why I stayed there and it was well worth it to be able to wake up, roll out of bed and be at the train in 5min. Nice staff. The wood floor in the room was kinda weird but cool. The cleaning staff had neglected to look on the back of the bathroom door when […] cleaning up after the guests before me though, so there were a pair of toddler's shorts hanging from the rack. I thought it was kinda funny. Otherwise, this hotel was pretty, clean, had safe garage parking, and is super convenient. Worth staying here. Devamı

Beneden bij aankomst lijkt het hotel in verbouwing, maar eenmaal binnen valt dat mee. Mooie, ruime kamer en vriendelijke staf. Wel wat geluid van de tegenoverliggend treinbaan. De buurt is niet zo prettig, dus wel een hotel om 's avonds vooral binnen te blijven (dus eten in Manhattan!). Prima verbinding via die trein naar Manhattan (+/- 30 min.)!!
