Holiday Inn Fresno Downtown Convention Center - Fresno

The staff were extremely friendly. Considering they had been working in a hotel without AIR CONDITIONING for several days!! Upon arrival (I was a late check in since I was driving quite some distance that day) and was informed that the hotel did not have air. The maintance crew was opening windows and providing fans if desired. Thank goodness Fresno […] wasn't having a hot day and it was cool enough outside. The check in time is too late, though I do love the hotel. I just wish the hallway was a little brighter.

Air Conditioning was out in the hotel. It was 90+ degrees outside. Windows don't open. Very uncomfortable night. Other than that, the hotel isn't great, the room itself was clean but the hotel had a seedy feeling to it. It's connected to a casino so there's 24-hour foot traffic. Not a hotel I will choose again.

This hotel is clean and ideal if you have a meeting in the downtown area, however, I would not recommend it to folks that want to walk the streets in the evening or are searching for a great place to eat. There is nothing! Well, even if there was, I wouldn't recommend leaving the hotel because the area is not very safe. Let me start off by saying the hotel itself is fine. Its clean, comfortable and service was good. However, the area of this hotel is HORRIBLE!!! I am from Fresno, CA and didn't realize how loud this particular area is. There is also no where to eat nearby. I was awakened by sirens, buses (bus depot is across the street) and people being loud. Also, […] I was awakened at 5AM by a squeaky door that sounded as if it was right outside our room. I don't think it was a guest, either. I think it was hotel staff. The door was very squeaky and it was slammed continually. One other weird thing, was my hotel phone rang twice, early in the morning, once at about 4am and once again at like 4:45. That was a pain in the butt! Again, this is "home" for me so I don't want to bash Fresno by any means. But i will not stay at this hotel again, only because of its surroundings. I must say though, for the price, it was great. We had room service one morning and the food was good, and prompt. If I could pick this hotel up and move it to another location, it would be great. Perhaps if you are a heavy sleeper, you won't have any issues, but if you sleep lightly, like myself, don't even think about it!!! If you don't have to be in the downtown area, I'd say spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else. Devamı

The room was nice, the staff was pleasant. They charged for parking ($5) and the city around the hotel was a little shady. There wasn't any food anywhere near the hotel other than a 24hour Casino next door that I walked in, waited 5 minutes for service, then left. Also the Wi-fi didn't work. Read reviews before arriving and frankly I was nervous about checking in. To my surprise the room was very clean my bed was very comfortable and the staff was on point from beginning to end. Would stay there again. Surrounding area with the casino and homeless. Park across street not so cool but what do u expect in downtown America. At no time felt […] threatened.@ Devamı

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this hotel. When we got there, we found out that there was a street party in progress directly in front of the hotel which went on until 2 AM and was attended by thousands of people. The music was extremely loud. We were not informed of this in advance and the hotel staff were not interested in addressing […] the issue. There was a letter in our room telling us to direct our complaints to the organizer. Our room was immediately above the street where the party was being held. There was no security present at the hotel. Individuals from the party were roaming around the building freely. Overall, this was a very poor experience. We would expected to have been forewarned and given the opportunity to book elsewhere. Devamı

Awesome hotel, overall. I asked for a fan (It's hot in Fresno, especially for someone coming from the central coast) and they responded quickly. The area is a bit on the sketchy side, but the casino next door and all of its lights make you feel safe walking the sidewalk. From the moment we checked it (they allowed us to check in 5 hours early with no extra fee) they were extremely helpful. They told us they would have a crib sent to our room at our request. Later that day we come back to the room and there was no crib. Turns out all the cribs were already taken (not really their fault). They did ofter to bring us more […] pillow and sheets, but we declined for baby safety. Free Parking on the weekend was nice. Easy access to two freeways made getting around easy and convenient. First impressions are important. Had to park in street because people cars blocking both acesses to hotel. No body helping to move cars out of way. Lady at desk was rude and not nice when I told her we could not get in. Sink in room 323 leaked and room 318 airconditioner did not work and bad stans on the carpet. People in the coffee shop not polite […] not attentive, out of Orange Juice on a Saturday morning unacceptable. No one came by asking if I want coffee water or anything when i had the buffet. All of the people that work there need to take more pride in there jobs and be better trained. First impression are critical and it was not good. Devamı

We were given room 821. When you get off the elevator on the 8th floor you see a sign that has like 810 to 820 to the left and 822 to 832 to the right. Where does 821 fit into that? Well, we found 821 to the left actually. We get to the door and find that none of our 3 keys work. I go down to the front desk to tell them about the keys. I also inform […] them about the signage. They said they meant to tell me about that. So they make new keys and make an apology. I said "that's fine, now as long as there is nobody partying next door (since it was late), were good". We get into our room and guess what....there is a club on the floor above us and the music was coming through as clear as can be through a big vent at the top of the doorless closet. Thank god we all had our own iPods and didn't have to listen to the club music. All you can do is laugh! Devamı

I have to say that the outside of the hotel is not the greatest. However, the service and the staff inside were absolutely fabulous. I really didn't like that it was next door to a card room/casino, but it didn't seem to matter once I checked into the hotel. The rooms were clean. The drainage in the shower needed upgrading. A slightly tired hotel (doors to balcony were bolted shut) and "iffy" neighborhood, otherwise ok

Hotel is right off the downtown mall, but on sunday night as 6:0'clock the twon was deserted except for the casino adjoining the hotel( bonus was 24-hr decent food service) and oe sport's bar which had a fairly decent menue within two blocks. Good location to everything downtown. Room was clean and comfortable, nice tv, very nice staff.

We drove up to Holiday Inn and a bum tapped on our window to ask for money. The hotel room was near the elevator and it seems like the wall was thin coz we can hear voices in the hallway. Also across the hotel is a bus stop. We were not able to sleep well. The carpet is frayed and the towels were discolored.

The hotel was recently remodeled and looks nice both in the lobby and in the room with new updated furnishings. The happy hour was nice, beer cheap and food good. I liked it and I would stay there again.

The hotel room was bigger than other rooms that i have stayed in. the room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly, and provided good customer service. the hotel has it's own parking garage which is free of charge,it has a lot of light, and securities. The clerk who checked us in was rather curt. The key card works differently than most. A quick explanation would've been helpful. The charge for parking was an unpleasant surprise - the first time I've had to pay extra to park at a hotel. There was a wet washcloth over the shower curtain rod from the previous occupant. great room. you just have to put up with the location and unless you have business with the fresno county criminal court, there probably isn't too much for you in the area.

The pool is under construction, hotel is across from park filled w/homeless, walk is far to Convention Center - which means many homeless hitting you up for money! The main entrance to hotel looks like the back or service entry, was hard to get to parking garage, the computers were on the blink for registration, the air conditioning did not work properly, […] the staff was unclear about area and parking direction, and I had to come down to lobby after staff failed to bring extra blanket - waited there for 10mins! I was not at all satisfied with this hotel. Our room wasn't ready for checkin until 6:30pm. Although they advertise a pool, it was closed for construction.

I've stayed at this hotel 4 times for business over the past two months. I have to say i was impressed the first night I stayed here. The staff was polite and helpful. Everyone had a smile on their face. All the rooms I've stayed in have been very clean and all look as if they had just been remodeled. Es gab Abends weit und breit kein Restaurant- Leider war die Rezeption überfreundlich, hat aber nicht zugehört. Es wurde immer der gleiche Satz runtergebetet. Auch der Service beim Frühstück war sehr schlecht. Bedienung konnte nur sehr schlecht Englisch und Frühstücksbuffet war teilweise nicht OK (z.B. ranzige Butter).
