Nothing exceptional, and nowhere near the 4-star quality. Suffice it to say when asked about the missing AC remote, the clerks at the front desk responded by saying that it's winter and guests won't need the AC. Oh and the TV didn't work at all. Good location, quiet, great staff, good breakfast, wifi included, OK price. Will stay there again.

My single room was very large, but that could have been the luck of the draw. In any case, it was a very nice, confortable, clean and spacious room, with very nice rest rooms/ shower. That is after all the most important. The second most important aspect is the location, and there again the hotel scores very good, imho: at walking distance from Taksim, […] and really close from all of the Beyoglu bars and restaurants. A slight drawback was the included breakfast and breakfast room, and also the lack of a bar and/or terrace which could have lurred me to another hotel... Overall, though, I was very happy. Devamı

I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Vardar palace hotel. Staff in the reception was very helpful. The rooms were clean and there were extra blankets and pillows. The hotel is located just by Taksim square in the very centre of Istanbul. From there you can easily take the metro anywhere you want. On the downside the hotel walls are not very well insulated […] and I could hear my neighbours (especially in the bathroom). Very pleased with the service, location and room. Older updated Turkish Hotel, very large clean rooms. Front desk staff very accomodating holding our luggage on early arrival. Transportation a couple minutes walk to all major tourist sites. Exciting area on the weekend, may be too noisy for some through the night as the city doesn't sleep. Every thing was great except they need to up grade their TVs

this hotel is in the city center , the problem in that the street that hotel is in which is very busy and in nights very noisy. the noise was my main priblem in this hotel.

The hotel was very nice. Clean, air conditioned rooms. Free and reliable wireless internet access. Generous breakfast buffet included in room price. Short walk to Taksim Square and Istiklal. Easy access to Havas airport shuttle. Will very likely stay there when next in Istanbul. Only gripe is that room/amenities description indicates iron/ironing board […] availability on request, but these are not in fact available. Devamı

Everyone who worked at the Vardar Palace was incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants, Turkish bathhouses, learning our names and asking how our day went. The rooms are spacious and clean - the only downside is that the pillows are a bit hard. But besides that, you can't beat this hotel!

The only thing going for the hotel is its location (close to taksim square and the busy istiklal street). Other than that, the hotel is fairly average and it cannot be a 4 star hotel as publicized. The receptionist was very unhelpful. I asked him when I first arrived how to get to taksim square (which is about 150-200 meters away) and he suggested I […] take a cab! I asked another one later for which tram station to use to go to another area of istanbul and he simply suggested the cab again and suggested that I read the signs in the metro station (all the signs are in turkish!!) Hey Travellers, I would make a simple review on this location is convenient, hotel room and comfort is good and the worst part of the hotel is only buffet breakfast. Staff cooperation is average over all you can go for it except for the breakfast.

The location is the best assett of this hotel. It's being at the very center of Taksim also means some nightly noise coming from the nearby clubs. Apart from that, it was very pleasant stay in this clean hotel .

Well located, nice staff, decent facilities. They didn't have a safe at the concierge, which is important for me to leave my passport, etc. However, I left them in an envelop that put on a draw with a key and worked well. Only elevator was broken when checking out at 5am and they didn't put a sign, so I have to wait until realized that. Staff pick up […] the luggage for me. Devamı

Rooms are very large. Staff is friendly. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Great location near Taksim square! Very close to the metro and bus station. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner and everything smelled a bit musty. No smoking rooms had obviously been smoked in, but that is probably the case for all of Turkey. Overall, a great stay for your money.

The staff at the Vardar Palace take very good care of their establishment, and offer a nice Turkish/continental breakfast. Their service was excellent overall. However, the walls are worse than paper - it's like there aren't any walls. That is my only complaint: if you have neighbors, you will hear *everything* they are doing. Colazione quasi inaccettabile, bagno molto piccolo e mal rifornito di prodotti. Abergo certamente di ivello inferiore alla categoria rioconosciutagli.

Känner väl till Istanbul och detta hotell ligger på ett mycket bar läge, utan att ligga i för turistiga delar.

Vi var tre venner som reiste sammen og hadde bestilt enkeltrom. To av rommene var greie nok, men det ene var lite, mørkt og med vindu ut mot personalets trappeoppgang, ikke ut av bygningen. Vi ba om å få byttet til et annet rom, men fikk vite at ingen rom var ledige. Etter litt diskusjon frem og tilbake og etter å ha ytret ønske om å få snakket med […] overordnet, da vi mente rommet lå godt under den standarden som var forespeilet, var det plutselig et rom ledig likevel. Resepsjonspersonalet -bortsett fra én person, som var vennlig, hjelpsom og profesjonell - var ikke svært imøtekommende og virket rett og slett lite interesserte og kompetente, og da sammenligner vi med annet hotell vi har bodd på tidligere, i samme prisklasse og samme gate. Vi hadde rom ut mot den svært bråkete gaten, og det kan ha bidratt til en litt slitsom opplevelse, men sånt er ikke til å unngå og kan avhjelpes med ørepropper. Great little hotel in the best part of Istanbul. Very fast WLAN connection which is good when going there for business. Nice & helpful frontdesk staff. Breakfast somewhat simple though, can be improved.

For a 4 star hotel, this was a sad exsperience. The hotel is old and run down. I had ordered a non-smoking room, but the room reeked of cigarets. When I asked for an other room, the answer as, sorry but they all smoke in the non smoking rooms. The breakfast was less than average.

Personalet mangler interesse for kunderne, og er ikke serviceminded. Middels hotel. Prisen er lav. Det er ikke et hotel jeg varmt ville anbefale mine venner.

Vardar Palace Hotel in Istanbul is perfectly situated, a few hundreds meters from Taksim Square, enormous hub full of people, cars, buses and taxis, and from Istiklal (pedestrian commercial street) and to all the small pedestrian streets full of bars, boutiques and fun. The hotel is a bit old, but charming, service is OK and breakfast is generous.

Das Hotel liegt vor allem für junge Leute optimal, die am Abend gerne fortgehen wollen. Auch in die Altstadt, zu den kulturellen Highlights, ist es nicht weit. Zimmer und Hotel war sehr sauber, nur das Personal war nicht besonders motiviert. Und auch das Frühstück sollte bei einem 4-Sterne-Hotel ein bisschen umfangreicher sein. Un 4* qui ne vaut pas plus de 3

Hotellet ligger meget nær ved den store shopping gade, der er ikke længere end det er muligt at gå til den blå moske, i området færdes der mere en 3 mill mennesker hver weekend, og det bærer området præg af, så er du ikke til larm, skal du ikke vælge dette hotel, eller slet ikke vælge Istanbul som ferieby. Hotellet personale er ikke det mest service […] præget og virker lidt sure, men alt i alt en okay oplevelse. Devamı

It is not certainly a 4-stars hotel. Rooms are old and several electrical plugs/lights did not work. But the hotel in general and my room were very clean, the personnel is helpful, breakfast is OK. The position at about 200 m from Taksim square is absolutely excellent for taking the metro, the funicular, the bus or simply a taxi. There's a panoramic […] terrace in the roof but breakfast is not served there. At the end you pay for what you get. Overall it was a positive experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fair price hotel in and excellent position with no needs for a fancy-charming location. Devamı

Das Hotel liegt 1 Minute vom Taksimplatz entfernt, also eine traumhafte Lage. Das Frühstück ist eine Mischung aus International und ein Hauch arabisch. (Schafkäse, viel Gemüse aber auch Marmelade, Honig, Wurst, etc.) Das Personal kann recht gut englisch sprechen, jedoch verstehen sie teilweise nicht so gut was man von Ihnen möchte, dabei werden sie […] schon mal ungeduldig und auch unfreundlich (bzw. unverschämt) worüber wir uns sehr geärgert haben. Hierbei soll ein Rezeptionist, dessen Name wir jetzt leider nicht wissen, besonders hervorgehoben werden. Dieser Mann hat es verstanden uns das Gefühl zu geben, einfach nur nervende Touristen zu sein, wenn wir eine Frage an ihn hatten. Weiters sei erwähnt, dass die Betten steinhart waren, dass muss man gewohnt sein, sonst tut einem in der Früh alles weh. Im Großen und Ganzen war es aber ein Hotel, welches wir mit Zufriedenstellend bewerten würden. Absolut geeignet für Leute, die wirklich nur ein Plätzchen zum Schlafen benötigen und denen das Hotel nicht so wichtig ist!!! Devamı

Dejligt hotel lige midt i centrum. 100 m til gågaden. Kan klart anbefales.

Et udmærket hotel, meget centralt beligende. Venlig betjening og en fin tagterrasse med flot udsigt. En lille bid af udsigten fås på værelse 603. Der boede jeg og kunne derfra se ud til Bosphero.

Este hotel no se encuentra en el centro historico de Estambul, sin embargo esta ubicado en un barrio con mucho movimiento diario y nocturno (Byoglu, al lado de Taksim square). Sin lugar a dudas es una gran locación para visitar estambul, con mucho mas actividad nocturna que el centro historico, aunqe este tambien es una buena opcion. Facil acceso a […] transporte publico para llegar al centro historico. Una muy recomnedable locación. El hotel no es ninguna maravilla pero esta bien. Devamı

Very good location, though the street was noisy especially during weekend. Breakfast was really good and the roof top terrace great! Only minus is warm mini bar in the room.

God sevice, byttede til bedre værelse med balkon uden problemer og venligt personale. God beliggenhed nær Taksim Square. I forhold til prisen godt hotel.
