Oceanfront Inn - Virginia Beach

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Front Inn. The staff was very friendly. The view was spectacular! The rooms are a little outdated, but I would definitely stay here again.

Could have been better!!!

All rooms are oceanfront with private balconys so you don't need to worry about getting a bad view. The hotel restaurant is one of the best places around for dinner. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as various shops so you really don't need to drive once you get there.

No frills but its a good value. The resturant buffet was way over priced and weak food quality. Great location. Jn sum, descent room, fairly clean great location just decide to eat elsewhere. There are plenty of places close by.

Hotel staff were all amazing. Loved our view of the ocean. I would go back there. Nice location and close to attractions.

The hotel is oceanfront; which is what I wanted. Indoor and heated pool, so that was great for playing and water - when the ocean was 40 degrees! Not much monitoring of obnoxious teenagers in the pool by hotel staff, however. Not quite appropriate for kids and families. The bed pillows are AWEFUL!!! Large and hurt all of our necks. Maid Service STILL […] knocked on our door even with the "Do Not Disturb" sign up. Overall though, for the price and location and pool, I would stay here again. Devamı

Our family enjoyed our stay at Oceanfront Inn at Va Beach. The staff was very friendly. The cleaning crew were on top of keeping our room clean, and supplied with our needs. During our stay, there was a huge party in the room next to us, starting at 2am with extreme loudness. Outstanding service and very friendly staff. The rooms were very well kept and clean. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Front Inn. We went in the off season and got our ocean front room at half price. The hotel was located near all of The Hilton properties, so we took advantage of their offerings. Only neg: bed was not very comfy (but o.k. Oceanfront Inn is a great hotel for a short overnight stay. This was our second stop on our spring break college visit road trip, and we arrived around 8pm - tired from walking around two college campuses and hungry. We checked in, then headed downstairs to request a restaurant recommendation from the desk clerk. Oceanfront Inn is on "the strip" in […] Virginia Beach, so there were many restaurants close by to choose from. We found the recommended restaurant easily, and were able to walk back from the restaurant on the beach. It wasn't warm enough to sleep with our sliding door open, but we were able to hear the ocean thru the glass, which was pleasant. We believe it had been warmer earlier in the week (to allow others to sleep w/ the sliders open), as we saw two small bugs in our room - one in the bedroom area and one in the bath. We had planned to go to the beach the following morning prior to our college visit, but the weather really didn't cooperate - so after a BRIEF run thru the water, we ate breakfast in the restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. We were supposed to receive a small discount at the restaurant, but we didn't - and we were not able to charge the meal to our room because we had prepaid for our reservation. The staff is most helpful and willing to go out of their way to make sure you have a comfotable and fun stay at the beach. Great location, clean rooms, updated - we will be back!

My stay at this hotel was definitely above and beyond what I thought It would be getting. I went during the Shamrock Run so I figured for this hotel not to be sold out there must be something wrong with it especially at the price I got it at (very reasonable). I was completely wrong. There was plenty of parking outside and across the street in a parking […] garage. The hotel staff was very quick at getting us checked in and even explained neighboring places to eat and go with in the hotel. The cleanliness of the elevator, hallway and wear on the room is the only thing negative to say. We had a balcony which overlooked the ocean and right on the finish line. There was a small fridge in the room for my food leftovers and snacks before the run. Not to mention the shower had great water pressure and was very clean, small but clean. We went to grab the seafood buffet down stairs and was told they were not having it that night. The waiter was so incredibly friendly he apologized and gave us recommendations for other places instead of forcing their food on us,. I really appreciated that. I will definitely go back and hope to get the same place next year for the run. Devamı

For the price, this is a step up of equally priced hotels in the area. Nothing overly special, but not bad either. Friendly staff, clean lobby, rooms and elevators. Nice pool. Convenient location.

The hotel was serviceable. My room was not cleaned when I checked in, so I was assigned a different room.The second room was right outside the elevator so it was very noisy. I would have rated this hotel a lot higher if the room was cleaner. The location is excellent, the price was good and the staff was pleasant enough. When we checked in we found half of a cigar near the foot of the bed on the floor. The balcony had an empty glass bottle on it and there was dust on the furniture. The double beds were comfortable. Be aware this is the only size bed they offer. The view was fantastic. All rooms are oceanfront. They offered small conveniences like toothpaste and razors for free if you forget yours, and we did. This location was convenient to a small children's playground on the beach, shopping, and decent restaurants. Although […] we checked out at 10:00 the parking pass was good for the whole day so we were able to leave our car in the lot and venture out until we left that evening. Beautiful view of the ocean. Hard to give good review because we stayed the day after Christmas and nothing was open. Had to settle for fast food. Then their was nothing on TV. Our view sort of soured due to events beyond our control or the hotel'.

The hotel to my suprise was pretty comfortable. Me and my husband stayed for one night because we were invited to a party at the Hilton which is just next door. We would have stayed at the beautiful Hilton but the Ocean Front Inn was half their price. the place was relatively clean ,however it could use a little upgrading. they were doing repairs to the pool while i was there and that's good.the ocean view was spectacular. given the affordability i would recommend this hotel for family stays

The room was clean and comfortable. Exactly what I expected and then some. Of course, oceanfront makes all the difference. I would come back.

Our two day stay was fine. We stayed here in mid November, so there were no parking problems, no crowds, etc. The room was clean and updated. My pet peeve with hotel rooms is the bathroom. Seems a lot of hotels renovate the lobby and the rooms, but never update the bathrooms. This hotel had recently updated the bathroom, so it was clean and pleasant. […] My hat off to the owners for that. We stayed there this weekend and had a very comfortable stay. There was a problem with a backed up toilet, but this was all repaired in ten minutes. The service was excellent and went out of their way to satisfy their customers.

I do recommend this hotel, very convienant to everything you need. My stay was very comfortable & quiet just what I was looking for.

This is my first time staying at this hotel but my fourth time staying at a hotel in Virginia Beach. The hotel has a fantastic location and you can see the Neptune Statue from most balconies, which was great! Typical hotel room, normal layout. Most of the staff was wonderful (Only one Guest Service Agent I thought wasn't as warm as the others), and […] all very friendly. The heated pool was wonderful although it did have a lot of chemicals in it, it was still great! Downsides: the mattress was very firm but we still slept fairly well, bathroom was a bit tight but still nice, and overall the hotel is older and it shows. On the ceiling of our room (614) you could see where there were cracks that needed to be prepared. The top of the balcony seriously needs some work to it, lots of cracks and chipping. There was a wooden panel next to our door that I bumped with a suitcase, it was so the pipes to the bathroom could be fix if needed. I left it leaned up next to the hole and figured housekeeping would put it back, they didn't during our stay, but it didn't bother me, if I had children I would have called to have someone fix this problem. Something that's a bit picky but personally bothered me, they used several different types of light bulbs in the room and it was just a little weird to have both yellow and white light throughout the room. Elevators were older as the rest of the hotel, but worked fairly well. There are three and sometimes it seemed like it still took quite a while to get up to the sixth floor so I can only imagine what it would be like in the summer! We also ate breakfast in the attached restaurant. Hotel Guests get 10% off your meal and they have $3 drink specials for breakfast and lunch. Food and service were great! Eggs were cooked perfectly! We ended up spending a little bit more than we thought we would but the prices were decent for the beach. Over all: Older hotel, lots of character, if that sort of thing doesn't bother you, this hotel is fantastic. Devamı

The hotel was convenient to everything at the neptune festival, but the rooms were small and cramped. Furniture is old and worn. Would not stay there more than 2 days.

I was adamant about booking the Oceanfront Best Western as I had stayed there before. I wound up in this one. They are right beside each other. After some tense moment it all worked out. This one was fine

The hotel Service didn't clean our room. The pool water had way too much chemical in it.

the location, the staff, the clean rooms... the reasonable price.. would do it all again...probably will!

Three things off the bat I want to get out of the way: 1. Check in time is LATE (4:00) and when we went to check in, they had us waiting for an extra half hour to get our room key (apparently they were still cleaning the room). 2. In the rooms, the bathroom is right next to the door off the interior hallway. There is no hallway in the room so you end […] up taking care of business next to the main door in your room (which has about an inch of space underneath it), so that kind of irked me. 3. The air conditioner in the room is very loud and makes multiple loud clicking noises that woke me up every time it would kick on. But, complaining aside, the view was fantastic, the room was clean, we always had fresh towels, and the staff was accomodating and polite. The balcony is bigger than I expected it to be, but there is no table out there so if you wanted to have a candlelight dinner you're going to have to sit on the floor. The beds we a bit tinier than I would have liked, but they worked out fine (though I was doing a bit of toss and turn). Anything negative is pushed aside because of the spectacular view and the convenience of the location. I called ahead to request a room on the third or fourth floor (what's the point of a balcony on the first floor?) and I'm not sure if that was noted, but we ended up on the fourth. Some other things: Noise level was under control, which was definitely appreciated. The walls between the balconies muffle sound. The blow-dryer they provide is actually pretty good, so forget about lugging yours. The guy at the desk let us park our car in the lot for the day before we checked in, and then for the remainder of the day after we checked out (at 11am). He also let us continue to have access to the restrooms after we had checked out, which I really appreciated after a venti latte that morning from the Starbucks that is right around the corner (another plus! And the girls that work there on the weekday mornings are pros). Remember to turn o Devamı

hotel room smelled musty, could use some updating. location was fantastic. breakfast was really good but high priced.towels and washclothes needed fabric softner desperately (they really hurt your face and skin while drying off) close to sand paper-ouch!

The hotel was a great location! The parking lot in front of the hotel was really small and cramped, but a parking garage for the hotel is right across the street so it wasn't that big of a deal. There is room to pull up and unload all of your luggage by the front door before you go park. The rooms were nice, nothing fancy but just a basic hotel. The […] only complaint was the shower curtain had some mold along the bottom. Other than that, it was a clean, nice simple room. Last year we stayed at the B.W. right next door and this year at Oceanfront and will probably go back to the Best Western next year. Oceanfront was competitively priced but there was sand on the floor when we got into our room. The room wasn't dirty just not real clean. Makes me wonder what else was skimped on. When they cleaned they replaced the sugar/stir […] stick/napkin pack but not the coffee. The pool was inside and faced the street rather than the ocean which seemed a bit odd. I'd recommend going next door and for a few extra dollars getting cleaner rooms, more pools and a little better food in the hotel restaurant. Overall I'd give Oceanfront a 3.5 rating. Devamı

The hotel is located right on the beach and very close to nightly entertainment and restaurants. Hotel is clean with a friendly staff. Enjoyed the family vacation, and would certainly return.

I would strongly recommend Oceanfront Inn. Centrally located, clean and excellent service. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and has an amazing ocean view. Great location and beautiful view of the beach from our room. The overall condition of the room was decent however the refrigerator was a bit old. The resturant in the hotel was very nice. The buffet was excellent. Convenient to shops and entertainment.
